Why should she address such idiocy?
Immigration records do not list her having a brother with the name of the man she is alleged to have married.
If she came here with her family as refugees how is it that her “brother” who was also a child didn’t wind up in the US?
Since siblings of citizens can immigrate just as easily as spouses why would she have fraudulently married him?
Omar claims and apparently marriage records back her up that she wasn’t legally married at the time of her marriage to man you’re calling her “brother.”
And all of this is beside the point. The President’s words matter. Unless he’s a bigger moron than I think he is he had to know that his comments the previous day would be picked up by his supporters.
I see...
Forget about the meaning of the post. Attack the meaningless details in an underhanded and deceptive way. Very slippery...
What part of my post made you think that a reference to Omar's immigration process was at all related to anything?
Omar claims that she was married in her faith, but that she and the husband to whom she was married in her faith at the time she was married to a different husband are not yet divorced in her faith.
By comparison, soap opera scandals contrived in the world of daytime TV are less complex: You married your unborn grandfather? How COULD you!!?!
How about we check Ilhan's own words for the ridiculously complex rationalizations she uses to justify her complexities:

In 2002, when I was 19 years old, Ahmed Hirsi
(whose name before he received citizenship was Ahmed Aden),
the father of my children and love of my life,
and I, applied for a marriage license,
but we never finalized the application and
thus were never legally married.
In 2008, we decided to end our relationship
in our faith tradition after reaching an impasse in our life together
I entered into a relationship with a British citizen, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and married him legally in 2009.
Our relationship ended in 2011 and
we divorced in our faith tradition.
After that, he moved home to England. I have yet to legally divorce Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, but am in the process of doing so. [3]
