What? Didn't you see the president stopping it by speaking quickly and the look on his face when it started told everyone how upset he was hearing it.

This is the newest lie he is trying to tell america. No low is low enough for trump and his supporters.

Yes, the attempted walk-back excuses were pathetic. He revelled in his crowd's adulation and chanting for 13 seconds without a moment's pause from preening. Not one word of condemnation. The man (and I use that term advisedly), is a pathetic liar, a weakling and an embarrassment.

You never credit him for good things.

At some point, even irrational folks on the Democrat Socialist payrolls need to use a consistent unit of measure.

So now we are critiquing reaction time?

Well, Ilhan was married to two people at the same time for about two years. That's a pretty slow reaction time.

She may have used campaign funds to have gotten out of one of the marriages. She still has not really addressed this or whether or not one of her husbands was her brother. Again, pretty slow reaction time.

Ten seconds seems to be lightning quick by comparison.

So she's guilty until proven innocent, right? I'm still wondering why folks on the right seem to think they are sitting on a high moral horse when in reality the immoral things they rage against, they themselves do. Like trump cheating on his wives. Or gingrich cheating on his or the pastors who scream about homosexuals and are then caught with a homosexual. Anyway keep it up. I love reading the folks on the right twisting themselves into pretzels trying to defend trump.

Why should she address such idiocy?

Immigration records do not list her having a brother with the name of the man she is alleged to have married.

If she came here with her family as refugees how is it that her “brother” who was also a child didn’t wind up in the US?

Since siblings of citizens can immigrate just as easily as spouses why would she have fraudulently married him?

Omar claims and apparently marriage records back her up that she wasn’t legally married at the time of her marriage to man you’re calling her “brother.”

And all of this is beside the point. The President’s words matter. Unless he’s a bigger moron than I think he is he had to know that his comments the previous day would be picked up by his supporters.

Come to think of it, has even ONE SINGLE DP conservative said that Trump's tweets were racist? Has even one taken personal responsibility for their part in perpetrating this disaster of a president on the country? Or have they tried to hide behind some other stated principle, acting as if so long as they say "yeah, well, part of Trump's base is bad" they're somehow free of the stench?

In other words, have they done anything other than try to flee a sinking ship?

What part of my post made you think that a reference to Omar's immigration process was at all related to anything?

Omar claims that she was married in her faith, but that she and the husband to whom she was married in her faith at the time she was married to a different husband are not yet divorced in her faith.

By comparison, soap opera scandals contrived in the world of daytime TV are less complex: You married your unborn grandfather? How COULD you!!?!

How about we check Ilhan's own words for the ridiculously complex rationalizations she uses to justify her complexities:

How long was it until Obama corrected the misunderstanding in which he asked in 2012 that the message to Vladimir be conveyed regarding his enhanced flexibility?

Are we STILL waiting for that?

When was that again; 2012 you say? Does whatever happened in the past excuse Trump's behaviour, today, in some way? If it does you'll have to explain the rationale.

That's the whole point, isn't it?

The thing for which Trump is being criticized just happened while he was there. Trump's behavior has nothing to do with the criticism on this.

You folks are pretty applying a standard that makes an observing pedestrian responsible for a traffic accident that occurs while they watch.

At least in the case of Obama, he committed the transgression. Has he EVER explained this, apologized for saying this or even acknowledged saying it?

Our lying propagandists in the media have not seemed very interested in having him explain that open mic momentary revelation of his collusion with Russia.

Has ANY "reporter" from any of the MSM propaganda outlets; CNN, NBC, CBS, ABS, WaPo, NYT, MSNBC, EVER asked Obama to explain what he was saying when he said that?

I can't seem to find the link to the interrogation and the resulting outrage by the MSM propagandists as they constructed their narrative to suppress the news.

Maybe you can help me.

There was (is) no need for President Barack Obama to correct any folk's misunderstanding of his "flexibility" comment to the Russian President regarding negotiating missile defense that caught on an open or "hot mic" in Seoul in 2012.

He ESPECIALLY doesn't need to try and clear up the gross misunderstanding of some idiots who are still, over 7 years later, clueless that it was then Russian President Dmitri Medvedev to which President Barack Obama, in a candid off record discussion, rightly mentioned that he would have "more flexibility" to negotiate "missile defense" points after the 2012 American Election, which he, President Obama, felt certain he would win.

What he said was spot on, reality, 100% fact. There was nothing untoward in it, nothing notorious, nothing wrong. He spoke the God's honest truth. A President who has just won an election or has just won reelection is in a completely better position to be negotiating with other nations.

You made the topic about critiquing presidents.

Even as you are trying, to pose, it is all about reaction time, well keep waiting, cause there was no need for any "reaction time" from President Barack Obama and the "hot mic" captured comment.

The only lesson we can learn from stories like this is that the media needs to stop giving Trump the benefit of the doubt. It won't happen but I don't see how the problem gets dealt with other than that.
 
In fact both a White House spokesman and President Barack Obama himself clarified the "hot mic" comments the very next day.

Again, they really needed no clarification and no supposed "reaction time".

As President Donald Trump has explained, very well, and demonstrated even more forcefully, off record comments between heads of state are not in any need of clarification or explanation to the people.
