AOC to DHS chief: Border agents shared 'images of my violent rape'...

Please see the Hatch Act.

*sigh*
they do not give up their first amendment rights. so the government has ordered.
also please provide evidence that it was actual border patrol agents doing this not just
claims by AOC who is a know liar.

also this has nothing to do with political activity so your argument is moot.

I will actually make it even broader and claim that government employees can be fired even when they are off the clock for certain forms of speech.
When people get such jobs sign contracts which include many restrictions of the "freedom of speech." Take for example the case of the military. Do you think that an officer who is found to say kneel in front of the flag when he is off the clock that he will avoid consequences?
The military is never "off the clock"

Do you have any evidence that they were on the clock when these things were posted?
Doesn’t matter. Many employers have policies in place that as a representative moral conduct means off of the clock too. I can be terminated in a second if I post something on SM that is contrary to my employers core values.

As can I. And as my employer should, if they choose to.

Agreed. 20 years ago before internet and Social Media, it wasn't so important. Now that everyone has the world and unlimited information at their fingertips, all it takes is one jackass spouting vile crap online to damage a billion dollar firms brand and cost them revenue. It's just smart business.

Whether I or anyone else is bothered by it isn’t the point.

Good point. We know that bragging about sexually assaulting women is just typical "locker room talk" for much of Trump's base. Maybe we will hear that talking about outright raping women is also typical "locker room talk"? It's only one small step after all, like going from robbing convenience stores at knife point to robbing convenience stores at gun point.

The thread title indicates that AOC was violently raped, that images of the rape were captured, and that border guards shared said images.

Did any of that happen (not a rhetorical question)?

If you want to find rape culture, go to the Middle East (Israel is the exception). Women are raped all the time over there. Thanks to Sharia Law, one of the most oppressive pieces of federal in the world's history, women are not even treated less than dirt over there. Not allowed to drive, go to school, talk to other men, and just be independent. They have to ask permission to do the simplest of tasks. Going to the bathroom might be a tall order for some cases. And because of their religion, men can not only have multiple wives but also have sex slaves. Many men in power have taken advantage of this "perk" (oppression) and did just that. Osama bin Laden had multiple wives in his household So what's worse: a couple of bad apples in an organization that say obscene things about a Congresswoman but don't actually do anything to her, or multiple countries in a big region (again, except for Israel), all of which use the same law that says to treat women as nothing than objects, where rape, stoning, and slavery (labor and for sex) is happening every day and permitted by their law?

I know some of you will "WELL, ICE SHOULDN'T BE DO THAT AND IT'S EVIL ORGANIZATION! HOW DARE YOU EVEN MAKE THAT COMPARISON!" I agree that some of their members shouldn't be saying that, let alone putting it on social media, but that's locker room talk. Women do it too. In some cases they say things that are ten times worse. If none of them are actually doing the things that they say, big deal. Let them talk. If some of them did, arrest and put them in prison for the rest of their lives. It'd be stupid to disband an entire organization because of a few bad people. It pales in comparison to an entire region (the Middle East) that permits men to do those terrible acts (once again, Israel is not included).

Look no further than the White House.

Ocasio-Cortez should shut her trap.... She vote NO twice to send funds the the border? She wants ICE abolished so pay no attention to her!

She, and others want override of the concentration camps, which is perfectly reasonable. Why dint conservatives want this. Why do they support these rape aficionados operating in the dark?

So there are around 10,000 members of the Facebook group and around 20,000 agents in total. Even if we accept that only 1 out of every 5 members is/was an agent I think it's fair to say there is a serious problem with their culture.

Whether I or anyone else is bothered by it isn’t the point.

Your employer is under no constitutional obligation to provide you with a paycheck.

It wasn't literally a photograph of an event. Hope this clears it up.

I also hope the revelation clears up any doubt about CBP being a cesspool of racist ****wits.

I’m old enough to remember when liberals supported free speech.

Theres a difference between freedom of speech and the vile, childish, hate filled hysteria the right wing has been spewing.

Your ideology and its supporters are insane and disgusting.

This seems to be missing the point, and it seems to have done its (dirty) work of derailing conversation. Is anyone actually saying that the right to free speech of these people should be curtailed? Or is it that the posts in question expose a certain culture that needs to be addressed within government? I think it's the latter...

Good grief.

As if the Left isn't as hateful, childish and vile.

Really, because I remember a little different attitude from cultists when a couple was sharing bedroom talk, expressing there work and their personal beliefs ( turned out to be 100% accurate) that trump was unfit for office.

That was two people and cultists are still claiming the FBI is corrupt...

This is thousands...

The Democratic Party declared Jim Comey, Director of the FBI corrupt when he attacked Hilary Clinton and the Democratic Party now claims that the DOJ is corrupt.

Hypocrisy and double standards is another routine practice of the Democratic Party.

Good grief.

Oh spare me. Nothing compared. Your ideology is a disrespectful selfish mess and a completely inhumane nightmare.

Inhumane is encouraging these people to trek across the desert because they think they can either sneak into or be waved into the country. The people responsible for the situation at the border are the ones who want the status quo, meaning a porous border and outmoded laws, not Trump.
