The "both sides are to blame" narrative typically comes from Gop'ers who don't have enough personal integrity to own the mistakes and offenses committed by their side. "Both sides" is what spineless republicans do when they know THEIR side is principally (if not solely) to blame. It's the best we can expect from that kind of American.

The NPR article itself points out that Free Beacon had ended its association with Fusion before Steele was hired.

The formal start was in July 2016. However, we already know that the FBI had sent an agent into the campaign in the spring of 2016--- as per Mr. Brennan.

Part of what became known as the “Steele Dossier” was already in the possession of Fusion GPS when they hired Steele, and was incorporated into his work.

Democrats were setting up fake Russian contacts with associates of Trump long before Trump was elected and long before Steel crafted his fake dossier for Hillary and the DNC. Obama lackeys in the justice department were already cooking up illegal lying schemes by which to bring Trump down, long before Nov. 2016.

  • According to multiple sources, including McCabe, without the dossier there would have been no FISA warrant. Besides, if the dossier did not matter then why did Trump-haters lie about it when presenting it to the judge for justification for the warrant?

Omar has denied the allegation that Elmi is her brother — she has called the charges "disgusting lies," the AP reported — but has not provided further documentation to debunk it. She did tell the Star-Tribune in October 2018, before she was elected to Congress, that "it’s really strange, right, to prove a negative. … If someone was asking me, do I have a brother by that name, I don’t."​
