Trump crowd on Omar: Send her back! Send her back!

Yeah, I was really no fan of W Bush. And while I thought he was at times very wrong in terms of policy, and perhaps a war criminal, I didn't think he hated the USA. I didn't question his patriotism. I questioned his judgement.
Then again, we got to watch his pre-POTUS ****-up's from up close whenever he was at Walker's point.

I used to love to see the Bush family there when they were in residence. You could go to that pulloff above the compound and watch them. We also saw HW and Barbara in town more than a few times.

The Bush family had class. Look what we have now.

American first is not "white" anything. Its pure simple nationalism, maybe you should look up what that really is.

Maybe you should look it up. Which type of nationalism are we currently experiencing? Civic nationalism, cultural nationalism or ethnic nationalism?

American nationalism - Wikipedia

For Trump and for the white nationalists in this country, it's the latter, ethnic nationalism. It isn't about patriotism, although Trump and the right are doing their level best to make it about that. It's about "making America great again" by putting and keeping white men in charge of as much as possible, and vilifying anyone who disagrees with that goal. Who fits the description of an enemy to white nationalists better than women of color?

Many prominent white male Democrats are very vocal about their disagreements with Trump and with the right, but you don't hear Trump calling for them to go back to where they came from, do you? He's too insecure to choose men to bash, too much of a sissy boy. It's so much easier (he thinks) to choose women to bash. He still thinks of us as weak. Big mistake.

Yeah when they were in town, the town more or less shut down. Especially when either Bush was still in office. Papa Bush was always pretty cool, and whether you liked Barbara or not, she would go into Portland and read to the kids in the Barbara Bush Wing of the hospital. You have to give respect for that.

Chanting "Send her back" is just disgusting. D-i-s-g-u-s-t-i-n-g.

Even more disgusting is that the president of the united states, most powerful man in the world, supposed leader of the free world, is standing there soaking it in as though it's much needed nourishment. He's bathing in it, letting it wash over him in orgasmic bliss.

There was nothing I didn't respect about Barbara Bush. A classy, intelligent, lovely lady. I also respected her husband with virtually every fiber of my being.

It has everything to do with immigration. If you knew history, which you clearly do not, skin color is irrelevant.

That's true, actually. At times we've been incredibly bigoted as a country against Jews, Catholics, the Irish and Italians and Poles, Chinese and others. It's all part of the same fabric, though, of pig-ignorant bigotry. So it's unclear why you think that works as an argument.

This is the second coming of the Know-Nothings, the ignorant and intolerant masses in thrall to a demagogue.
Actually, the Know Nothing's were a lot brighter than the current crop. They at least had the sense to keep their mouths shut

Or a republican

Now, just about every republican is an extremist. That didn't happen overnight

^^^^^^
{apparently in coma the last 2 Dem debate----speaking of extremists}

The same idiots who claim she "hates" the country are the ones who said Obama "hates" the country.

I saw a hell of a lot of criticism of W. Bush. Some of it was deserved. Some of it was ignorant and obnoxious. But I never saw any of them say trite, ignorant and childish comments like "He hates the USA".

The right is an embarrassment to itself these days. Racism is rampant. It's disgusting.

Maybe hates is a little strong of a word, but it's more like this.

True. There were many idiot, lousy extremists who supported the GOP while I did. Those people were not my kind.

Now it seems that everyone who supports the GOP is either a racist, a radical, an idiot, or all of the above.

So you support hateful rhetoric by hatefully attacking people? Is that the Christian way?

Saying hateful untrue things about Trump is hateful, so do you oppose hateful rhetoric or not?

Do you really think his base will quietly go away if he's beaten at the polls next year? I don't. I think he'll still be all over social media and the news every day, whipping his base into a frenzy at the "rigged" system and how he was robbed of a second term by some liberal conspiracy. I expect violence and have plans to spend a couple of weeks some place nice and quiet and remote, whether he loses or not. And he could actually win.

I don't expect him to go gracefully and I do not care. As far as his base, most are cowards at heart and the rest will have to be dealt with and they will be.

LOL Hateful untrue things are Trumps bread and butter at every rally. His lies must be answered.

Liars calling people they hate liars is like a serial rapist beating up an innocent bystander for looking like he was lusting after his wife.

I find it far more frightening that so many Americans are willing to defend this blatant racism any way they can.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, racists gonna racist.

This is consistent behavior--a large part of this 'christian' country also supported torture.

Maybe. I add, however, that there is a LOT of ignorance and intolerance going around. Believing the economic insanity of the "Green New Deal" is frighteningly ignorant, and telling blacks and Muslims and gays that they must speak as one voice is mighty damned intolerant too.

After reading this excellent article in the snail mail version, your claim that the Green New Deal is frighteningly ignorant is specious to say the least.
