Will Elizabeth Warren's candidancy hurt Sanders in the primaries?

It was more like heavy emphasis than shouting, but it's text on a screen, so interpret it however you like.

And yeah, of course some Bernie supporters ended up voting for Trump - because whether Hillary had a direct part in it or not, she got her nomination through lying, cheating, and preferential treatment from the establishment. Of course, people seeing this, would not simply line up to vote behind Hillary, and many held it against Bernie that he did fall in line.

I happen to have been a Hillary supporter and the democrat party was never the party of Bernie Sanders. And I think you underestimate and if not outright ignored the women's vote..especially the black women's vote. Bernie lost because he only pandered to young white males who think the world revolves around them.

Politifact ranked the candidates on truthfulness and Clinton was more honest than Bernie.....

Hope that puts your hysterics to rest, but I doubt it.

I'm not sure they have....

"....26% of current Bernie Sanders supporters said that they would rather vote for President Donald Trump over Senator Elizabeth Warren, if that were the eventual 2020 matchup.

While many have assumed that Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren appeal to a similar progressive voter, many apparent Bernie supporters would seem to disagree. More than one-in-four of them say they would rather vote for Donald Trump’s second term instead of voting for Elizabeth Warren. In the overall head-to-head between Warren and Trump, voters suggest that they would prefer Trump 52% to Warren 48%...."

5 Weird Items In The New Bernie-Buttigieg Poll
I can't imagine what Bernie and Trump have in common except gender and a dislike for Hillary . This poll spotlights the fact that many Bernie voters who were not interested in non progressive Clinton ( a woman), are still unwilling to vote for a progressive woman. Makes me wonder if there is any woman that they would vote for.

They ought to be a dream team for committed progressives and socialists.

Yeah, I think most of them are 4chan reddit incels.

Neither has a chance for the nomination, so not really.

But Sanders, unlike Warren, has actual principles, and believes in what he stands for.

Except for illegals, but that's such a total cloisterflock at this point that it's all but irrelevant.

Suggesting Sanders has principles is laughable. "I am not a democrat." "Oh wait, I want to run for president, and I need the resources of the democratic party to have a chance, so I am now a democrat." After he gets his ass kicked, "Well, I am not a democrat again." "Oops, running for president again, so I am going to claim top be a democrat again."

It honestly sounds like Biden is your man. He's definitely the furthest right of the current candidates - he's virtually a Republican.

Well, except for not being a republican, and not supporting republican positions, and his support and work for democratic issues...So you would be right if not for being wrong in every possible way.

The only lesson the criminal Democrats learned is to cheat differently; Harris will be handed the nomination, and will lose to Trump.

Ginned up liberal/Democrat hysteria over Hideous Hillary's loss?

Not a genuine crisis beyond the lunatic fantasies of the Hideous Hillbots and their cynical plutocrat masters.

As far as these polls...

Many Democrats voted for Trump - of course - but I don't know of a single Sanders supporter who did.

2016 was the year of people lying like rugs to the pollsters.

Do you really think just making **** up will fool anyone?

Do you think Jill Stein is going to run again?

Everyone I know and talk to say they are going to vote for the democrat no matter how bad or terrible the candidate is. So it's starting to shape up into an anyone but Trump kind of election for most democrats.

Michael Flynn and Jill Stein both attended the gala event in Russia to celebrate RTV and sat at Putin's table.

I have questions about Jill Stein and that event which I can't find logical answers:

How did she get invited?

Why was she there or what policies did she want to express to Putin?

While she was there, were did she stay?

Who paid for her hotel, flight, food or basically the trip?

What purpose could Putin have to embrace a candidate who wouldn't win a single state and only got 0.4 % or just under 470,000 votes of the votes nationally?

russia_dinner2000.jpg

It does not make sense to invite her, given the fact that she had NOT even officially announced her intention to run back in 2015.

She wasn't a household name, didn't have a high profile position and had raised no money.

I care not about some opinion piece, and your chart doesn't do much to help you. She was barely ahead of Bernie, and where Bernie had very few False statements, and zero Pants on Fire statements, Hillary had plenty of both. So, maybe he had a few more minor things, but at least he wasn't lying his ****ing ass off about any. Also, way to not even try to defend the cheating and preferential treatment bits, because you know you can't, and so you've basically forfeited the argument, while trying to still make yourself look like the winner.

Get your hack ass out of here.

I'm not saying he's Mitch McConnell, but he's basically a Republican from the 80s and 90s. He was "tough on crime", for unconstitutional war, peddles center-right healthcare proposals, isn't interested in taxing the wealthy or corporations, wasn't an early supporter of LGBT rights, and even voted to BAN gay marriage in the 90s, he's sided constantly with large corporations, he's hugely influenced by corporations....

I dunno, sounds like a center-right conservative to me.

Bernie had two major problems as I see it...

First is that he is running as a Democrat when he himself has pointed out on multiple occasions that he isn't one. Its a little disingenuous that he would ask for the support of a bunch of people he has no qualms separating himself from. Don't get me wrong, I get that we live in a two party world, but you have to admit the semi slap in the face he gives to actual Democrat supporters every time he chooses to differentiate himself from the very people he is essentially pandering to for support, let alone the ones he is pandering to for campaign contributions....namely the DNC. The idea that they would throw thier support behind the actual Democrat last time around shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. Shes been one of them her entire life....he came around because he didn't stand a chance of even getting his voice heard without them.

Secondly, and probably more importantly, he doesn't understand how to present himself. Calling himself a socialist is a terrible plan for getting people behind you.

He could be the most honest candidate ever, and those two factors are always going to get in his way.

I agree, on both points, and he shot himself in the foot on the socialist thing. I've already agreed with that. He has to run as a Democrat, though, regardless, because 3rd parties are not viable in our currently political climate. It's not as if the Dems actually do anything to support him anyway, they literally conspired against him last time.

You call it conspiring, I call it supporting the person who has always supported you.

Like I said, its kinda ****ed up when he attempts to separate himself from Democrats at every possible chance and then expect them to just open up thier arms when he comes to them hat in hand, know what I mean?

Calling him to the right on anything currently is laughable. He is center left.

I knew she was there but I forget why she was invited or what the meeting was about. My guess is the Russians wanted to use her to help Trump win and Hillary lose. I think they supported Bernie, too.

Bernie Sanders is center left. Biden is literally a moderate Republican - and always has been. You don't even understand the political spectrum, so of course you're completely wrong about this.

Wow, what a sore loser you turned out to be. But then you're a Bernie supporter so why would I expect anything less?

It's not as if Bernie doesn't work with and vote with Democrats on virtually everything. It's conspiring when you're doing shady ****, rather than just openly supporting someone. Nothing the DNC did was on the up & up. If CNN doesn't wanna cover Bernie, because they don't like him, that's fine, but if the DNC is allowing Bernie to run as a Dem, which they don't have to do, then the least they could do is make sure it's a fair race.

lol "sore loser" says the person who couldn't even prove the point they wanted to, and then ran from the rest of the argument because you know you're in the wrong

 I didn't have to prove anything, you did it for me. Bitter Bernie losers are worse than born again's. lol

"Bernie Bros" "Bitter Bernie losers" etc... yes, your completely irrelevant ad homs are doing wonders. Keep at it, and enjoy four more years of Trump.

Think about it: Both agree on policy issues. Both are running as hard-lefties. The difference here is that Warren is younger and female.

Yes, dilution is the greatest threat facing Sanders seeing as the field is crowded, and at least two of the leading candidates are competing directly for the progressive vote, and have absconded with several of his core ideas.

Eh, most of the current Democratic candidates are too far left for me, and my personal fave is a pragmatic moderate who can work with both sides of the aisle; hence, she's hovering at 1%, lol.

However I'm gonna vote for whoever the Dems nominate, even if I have to hold my nose!

I'm pretty sure that has more to do with her having roughly the charisma and persuasiveness of hot garbage, or say Hillary on her worst days.

I suppose I can see that aspect of it as well.

Well stated.

Warren is easily my second choice atm, especially since she just affirmed solidly her support for MFA during the debates, which was my greatest point of concern/apprehension with her.

I despised Hillary because she was a corrupt, duplicitous corporate shill ("You need both a public and a private position”) who acted and spoke like one and literally arranged for the skewing of the primaries/stacking of the DNC in her favour during her conflict of interest rife bailout of the organization. Nonetheless I voted for her because she was better than the more horrid alternative.
