Americans Reject Socialism

The freedom to keep the fruits of their labor.

Read: The freedom to be railroaded by greedy capitalist ****s who don't want to pay their employees a living wage because that would cut into their record profits.

The freedom to keep the fruits of their labor.

Taxes are not theft and they never have been.

Ayn Rand's objectivist idiocy is no more factual than the Bible is, despite your precious beliefs. Wealth is not a constitutional right because if it was then being poor would be unconstitutional. Libertarians haven't progressed emotionally since they turned 14 because they still do not understand that they are part of an interdependent and interconnected society and they must cooperate with others to survive. You have no innate natural rights outside of the society because rights are a human social concept and construct. Go tell a bear or an alligator that is also ready to make a snack of you that they cannot eat you that because you have rights. Your rights are only part of the society and they come with responsibilities to others in that society.

More and more I believe that the essence of conservative thought is the innate desire to justify greed. I wish I could remember where I read that.

LOL, seriously! I'll remember that when I'm paying for other people's choices and oh, illegals' healthcare.

The only idiocy I see are people who use words like "Marxist agenda" to lie. It's not YOUR money he wants to redistribute, it's HIS, and you don't get that you would benefit, and that you would have MORE opportunity, not less.

Literally everything you just said is wrong.

Lawyers and governments will always devise ways to steal an honest man's money, and claim that it's legal.

Keep your hands off my wallet.

Thanks! :2wave:

Taxes are not theft. Your claim if true would turn the US Constitution, and the field of economics on its head, but it isn't true, despite your claims. How many times do you need to be told this before you understand this concept? Nobody is stealing from you, despite your libertarian strawman. You should be more concerned about what you are getting in return for your tax dollars instead of nonsensically claiming that taxes are theft. Taxes are the price that we pay for living in an advanced society, so if you don't like then then go live in the jungle somewhere but you cannot expect to live in a advanced society and not pay taxes to support it.

Do you think that I am supposed to ignore the fact that you must create strawmen when you reply to me? If you had a real argument and didn't have the redefine what I said before you replied we could have a conservation but your penchant for creating strawman means that you don't have a reply and you must create these non-existent bogeymen to attack.

Late stage socialism in this country is live and well

Let's just stick with the Federal government: if the government taxes you for something that is not constitutionally mandated, it's theft.

yet he doesn't redistribute his own money so we don't have time for people to tell us how to live our lives according to practices that he refuses to do himself.

Why are leftists afraid of freedom and liberty? It's weird.

because then they are personally responsible for their own lives and actions and can't blame someone else for
their failure.

Yawn. Nobody wants a socialist government. Yet another left hate thread.

yep no one wants
government run healthcare
government free education for everyone
government paid minimum income

or any of other nonsense plans that are being thrown out
there.

nope not at all.
you don't pay much attention to the actual news do you?

I wish that there was a 21st-century American conservative who could rationally and intelligently discuss economic policy without personal attacks. Those people might not exist because they would not be conservatives. Noo liberal wants an authoritarian government with a planned top-down economy where the government owned everything. Most liberals support a social democracy idea on the plans o0f western europe or even the US before Reagan was permitted to enact his failed supply-side economics. .

Maybe you should understand that there are many different forms of socialism. I am a market socialist and a civil libertarian, so go spend an hour of Google learning about the interdependent concepts.

You are deluded. Your masters are evil people. They couldn't care less about your welfare. They're selling you snake oil, and not only are you buying it, but you're drinking it too.

If you don't respect my property rights I won't respect your right to life.

Why should I respect your rights when you won't respect mine?

There are no political party boundaries when it concerns anti-American socialists. The only real difference is that Democrats are proud of their anti-American socialism, and many Republicans try desperately to conceal the fact that they are also anti-American socialists, like Republican Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski.

You notice all these idiots trying to foist their socialist and Marxist agenda upon us are part of the 1%. AOC's handler, Chakrabarti, is a super-duper wealthy dude who made millions in Silicon Valley. Capitalism has treated him really well, but somehow for the rest of us, we don't get that opportunity because he's going to take our money and "redistribute" it.

What socialist and Marxist agenda? I expect you have all the details of proposed Marxist legislation to hand for the forum to examine. Looking forward to seeing them.

The EITC was a REPUBLICAN idea and happened in the 1970's and signed by Ford

It needed a lot of Republican and democrat support to pass

This is late stage socialism where there is wealth redistribution

Socialism is when everyone puts in equally and then shares

In the 1970s we called the anti-American socialists in the Republican Party "Rockefeller Republicans." Today, of course, they are called RINOs. Same thing, different label.

If you take a look at the composition of Congress during the 1960s and 1970s it really didn't take many Republicans. Congress was dominated by Democrats, particularly in the House, which they dominated for the next 40 years.

LOL, seriously! I'll remember that when I'm paying for other people's choices and oh, illegals' healthcare.

What is your problem? Why is it that everywhere else in the world where social programmes like universal healthcare exist, nobody complains? Seems it's just a cohort of whiny right-wing Yanks who don't understand that, (a) it works out cheaper for everyone and (b) everyone benefits. Don't worry, nobody is trying to prise that wallet from your cold, dead hands. You conservatives can stay miserable, angry and irrelevant if you like, while the rest of us are enjoying stress-free lives and excellent cradle to grave healthcare, free at the point of delivery; no forms, no awkward questions, no venal insurance companies to try to prise cover out of-and no bills, ever. Isn't it just awful?:lamo

I'm getting the impression that you're watering down the majority moderate republicans of yesteryear and today

Why?

"Victims of Communism"? A right-wing propaganda organisation? Got anything more credible-perhaps also not from Fox?:lamo
