Cubans have a reason for leaning right.
Yeah, it's called "the pecking order."

Who would have ever thought the President would claim members of Congress are anti American and tell them to "go back where they came from".
Are we still a developed country?

Horrible human being she is. But inside the liberal bubble, only color matters and she's one of the ' chosen ones' so everything is give an a pass.
we expect them to hold the same American values that white people do. To the extent that their race excuses them from holding non-American ideals is the extent to which we don't like them.
A President telling members of Congress to "go back where they came from" is unAmerican and unacceptable. He should be censured.

It was the well to do and wealthy whites who created the label of: "poor whites" and then they added a quantifier to it to ensure if they got money they would not be accepted by labeling them as "trash".
Fixed it for you. Why didn't you just say what you meant, like you did in the other thread?Let me clarify how this race thing works with Trump supporters, at least this one. ...
I'd be against that "American"that brings such ideals to the table. Even ifSince they are brown.

Not really.
Having grown up and lived in Miami for decades, I can assure you that I am more well aware of Cuban exile sentiments than the average bear.
I know a Jewish family that fled Nazi Germany to Cuba. There, they worked hard and started a new life. They owned a small store. One day, arriving at their store, they found armed guards. The store had been nationalized.
They fled again, this time to America.
No Castro, no problem.
I know the sentiment, as I have Cuban refugee friends too. That, however, does not really equate to leaning right. It was the "reason" part I was reacting to. There is a "reason" the second generation feels differently. I concede that it is the knee-jerk reaction to communist-dictatorship. It's dictatorship, just with a different flavor. The difference between Castro and Samosa is slight.
Go to some of the poor and dire poor communities and look at the high volume of psychological problems, birth defects and various forms of disabilities, where these people don't know where to even begin the process of seeking help. They are unaware of programs, and they are not educationally equipped to navigate the systems that could possibly help them, and they fight against a health care program that was set in place to make it easier for them to navigate and easier for them to get help... instead they let the Republican ranks tell them to "Attack It"...
Many of those who thought the idea of being a man was doing back breaking manual labor, by the age of 40 many are broken down and trapped in destitution and their children suffer the consequence, because they stood against Union and the Safety and Work Rules that Union created to help them. Now they no longer have that, because they "Attacked It".... Look around at those who no longer know what to do when the manual labor dries up... There was a time when women could work a diner and raise a family, or Grocery Store Clerks made decent salaries that provided as close to middle class living, bu today, barely will pay the rent in a low income run down and unkept dwelling.
This is the result of their incessant support or Trump like Republicans and now Trump comes and speed up the process of their demise and containment, and they cheer and support it, blind and unaware to the incivility he has driven them to support, and that incivility gives corporate American greater power and dominance that will ultimately control their very existence.
Mr. President, the country I “come from,” & the country we all swear to, is the United States.
But given how you’ve destroyed our border with inhumane camps, all at a benefit to you & the corps who profit off them, you are absolutely right about the corruption laid at your feet.
AOC
You are angry because you can’t conceive of an America that includes us. You rely on a frightened America for your plunder.
You won’t accept a nation that sees healthcare as a right or education as a #1 priority, especially where we’re the ones fighting for it.
Yet here we are.
But you know what’s the rub of it all, Mr. President?
On top of not accepting an America that elected us, you cannot accept that we don’t fear you, either.
You can’t accept that we will call your bluff & offer a positive vision for this country. And that’s what makes you seethe.
