The man is very smart and dangerous, and it is not excluded that he will manage to continue his and his family's grip on power, like the Berlusconi years in Italy. The man is a menace to our democracy. It is essential to defeat him in 2020, but it won't be easy.

I think the reasonable assumption is that the statement the President made would be considered in it's complete context and would be viewed accurately.


"Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came, then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”​

The mistake is thinking there is anything reasonable about people who would convert the statement above into "Go back to where you came from". Period.

It's hard to think of people being so brain dead hey could/would make that conversion.

Worse still, that those words contain anything racist whatsoever.

It makes one wonder how such brains could sustain autonomous breathing and heartbeats.

You, and thankfully most us, have no idea what hardships she's been through. She was eight years old when she was brought here by her parents from Somalia. She's a United States citizen and has been duly elected to Congress by the people in her home State of Minnesota.

So no, she doesn't have to go back to Somalia as both you and Trump seem to think in order to be a vehicle for change in the United States. Is she wrong that racism exists in this country? Is she wrong when she states that people of color in this country are racially profiled by some? No, she's not wrong, she's 100% correct and she's trying to make people understand that fact and effect some positive changes for people of low-income and people of colors other than the white color.

In your Trump deranged mind, she's "****ting on the flag" and you couldn't be more wrong.

The original slogan was bullcrap when Ronald Reagan used the slogan in 1980 too, although plagiarizing a campaign slogan may be preferable to the alternative slogan.

You know, I'm often called out here as an 'America hater' which is far from the truth. What I hate is what Trump is doing to your once respected and admired nation, held in affection and trusted by many, including me. Trump has managed to destroy all that within three years. Trust and respect have to be earned, not demanded, and I believe it will be many years after he is forgotten before they are restored.
