Again, help me understand why one dead guy should define anything?

Do you know how long a citizenship question has been a component of the Census and the American Community Survey?

Why has the question suddenly become a weapon, when it hasn't been an issue ever before?

Seems to me the only relationship the question has with a weapon is the propaganda the left is attempting to attach to it.

What else is new?

Ignoring you know nothing about it, why shouldn't it be considered more accurate?

Millions of illegal aliens have entered the United States over the last 5-10 years. This is confirmed by the Customs and Border Patrol, and many other sources.

There is no evidence millions of illegal aliens have left the US in that same period. There is no evidence millions of illegal aliens have died in that same period.

Yet, the main go to source for the number estimate currently in the US for the liberal MSM, is Pew, and they are trying to sell that the number of illegals in the US has actually dropped. That's absurd and illogical.

Well, first of all the quoted and guessed-at numbers vary from 15 million to 38 million. With huge discrepancies like that I'm afraid I'm not going to accept any figures as remotely accurate. You, of course, will accept the biggest and most sensational number because it suits your purpose. There are no hard and fast numbers available anywhere-and certainly not on the census.

How would you know what numbers are available? You don't even live here.

I haven't read through this whole thread, but here's an explanation of why Trump's census question didn't fly. Judge Napolitano is the lone voice of reason on fox news, I respect him because he always seems to actually remain 'fair and balanced', unlike the rest of the "staff" there. He also addresses exactly why Trump can't ban people from his twitter page.

Of course not. You really do like to fight over nothing, don't you? Just saying that there are many jobs that businesses cannot get white Americans to do, that illegals or recent legal immigrants will perform for minimum wage. Come on, Ocean, you know that's a true statement. These people are NOT a danger to us, they are NOT taking our jobs, they are NOT committing criminal acts aside from a tiny percentage, far fewer per capita than citizens. You just can't admit that the right is prejudiced and bigoted.

An just how will we get that exact number? Hint: a census question won't work, because the result of having such a question on the census form will simply mean that millions of legal and illegal immigrants will not fill out the form at all, out of fear of the extreme bias of this administration against immigrants.

We used to be a country that welcomed immigrants. There is no reason for that to change, other than fear-based hatred. Be glad that your own immigrant ancestors were not greeted with this much animosity.

Um … you are completely wrong about California. I was born and raised there. It is STILL a beautiful state, it is not a ****hole, and the state's economy would make it the 6th or 7th largest in the world were it a separate country. I don't know where you're getting your information, but you really should fact-check them, because they are lying to you.

I stand by my statement: Trump has done nothing but give KJU exactly what he wants: status. And all the while, KJU continues to test and build his nuclear arsenal. Trump got nothing for us.

Sorry. Perhaps someone else made the comment about banks. It's far enough back I lost track.

I acknowledge that KJU wants status and that meeting with him imparted status. That does not mean it is not a big step in the right direction. It started a dialogue where there was none.
