The dead guy stated that the reason for the citizenship question was as a weapon. Weapon is defined as "a means of gaining advantage," among other things. Hence the ACLU was right to use the term.
As to the citizenship question, not for a while. Face it, it was revised as a way to give "republicans and non-white Hispanics" an advantage, as the dead guy said. The GOP is losing demographically as the population changes. They respond positively by highlighting minorities, negatively by voter fraud BS, voter ID requirements, etc. Democrats would do the same, and did in the Old South for roughly the same reasons.
Again, help me understand why one dead guy should define anything?
Do you know how long a citizenship question has been a component of the Census and the American Community Survey?
Why has the question suddenly become a weapon, when it hasn't been an issue ever before?
Seems to me the only relationship the question has with a weapon is the propaganda the left is attempting to attach to it.
What else is new?
