Trump Derangement Syndrome and Trump Devotion Syndrome mean the same thing though thrown at opposite parties.

They both mean the same. People making irrational decisions, depending on which side you are. Both are meaningless as far as facts and reality.

I live in California. It's controlled by the Progressives. How could you ask "how many Progressives" do I know?

I have no problem with people from any walk of life, or who hold any political thinking.

I think it's healthy to consider ideas from all angles.

However, Progressives don't just disagree, they demand. And they have shown they won't stop at anything to achieve what they want.

That fact is not good for the Nation, and it does not bode well for it, as long as such efforts are allowed to go unchecked.

The first time I saw the term was when Bush was SO bad, that the criticisms which were quite correct were extreme, his cult referred to the criticism as 'BDS', for all the same reasons as now.

Then, when Obama was elected, there actually WAS 'ODS' - the cult making all kinds of false, trivial, insane criticisms of Obama. Now, we're back to the mostly very correct criticisms of trump falsely called TDS by his cult.

Just this week, Rosie O'Donnell accused the president of incestuous lewd acts with his daughter...without any evidence. In a thread on this very board about Trump throwing a wild party with Epstein, I posted a link where the attorney of one of Epstein's accusers is claiming Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-lago due to Epstein sexually assaulting someone at the club. The reply posted spoke about how Epstein was "probably" just banned from the "public" side but could still use the back door to the private side because...well...Trump... Of course, there is no evidence to support THAT claim either.

Also this week a woman claimed Trump forcibly kissed her at some event. It quickly fell apart when cell-phone video surfaced.

I consider all of these "utterly incredible" and outright ridiculous. No better than that stoopid Clinton Pizzagate human-trafficking nonsense. And this is just in the last week.

Well, the bit about people accusing critics of Trump of having "TDS" as a form of gaslighting is only partially true. Maybe some try to deploy it that artfully, but really, it's just a dishonest way of avoiding discussion, of throwing a wrench into the works. They say "you have TDS" and the rest of them dutifully avoid the entire debate.

It's less a way of trying to fool someone else into doubting their lying eyes, but rather a way of fooling themselves into believing an alternate reality. One where there are alternative facts, developing facts, and the truth is not the truth.

TDS is the same thing as BDS and ODS before it : a piss poor deflection technique used by hyperpartisans when someone doesn't show the proper level of deference to their current political crush / cult leader.

I would generally agree that the definition in the OP is how right-wingers tend to use the term, although definitely more well written than most of them could manage xD

That said, their entire perspective is so warped, that it's literally just an irrelevant ad hom because they are reality-denying, bigoted children.

I've admitted I'm wrong many times here. The operative issue to your post was if you "successfully managed to debunk your proof, would I change my mind".

So far, you've demonstrated you can't debunk anything, so how would you ever know if I'm capable of changing my mind?
