UK's Ambassador to the US blast Trump

Cables sent from the United Kingdom's Ambassador to the United States to the British Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) describe President Donald Trump as "inept," "insecure" and "incompetent,"

    He's right. And, he's honest.

"The British public would expect our Ambassadors to provide Ministers with an honest, unvarnished assessment of the politics in their country. Their views are not necessarily the views of Ministers or indeed the government. But we pay them to be candid. Just as the US Ambassador here will send back his reading of Westminster politics and personalities," a statement from the British FCO said.

"Of course we would expect such advice to be handled by Ministers and civil servants in the right way and it's important that our Ambassadors can offer their advice and for it remain confidential. Our team in Washington have strong relations with the White House and no doubt that these will withstand such mischievous behaviour," the statement continued.

Most Americans agree with him too.

Trump’s Cherry-Picked Polls Still Show More than Half The Country Doesn’t Approve

His latest Gallup number (taken 877 days into office) is 43 percent approval. And the rolling average of all poll numbers—not just the selectively chosen Rasmussen surveys—has him in an even worse position. According to the 538 averages, Trump’s approval rating is at 42.2 percent as of July 1.
Donald Trump is a stupid man's idea of a smart man, a poor man's idea of a rich man and a weak man's idea of a strong man. --Meme of the Year nominee

So, "inept" and "incompetent" instead of "idiot" and "moron"?

Sounds like the British government mostly agrees with the American government.
You have to be crazy to take Trump's racist tweets seriously. Sadly, a few Americans are. ... RIP 8/03 victims

I bet they’re just a “Trump hater” as well.

    Glory to Trump!

He has told us in his incredible glory that he has a good brain and he’s a very stable genius and that on matters of foreign policy he “talks to himself first and foremost”.

He is an amazing human being!

Some have said, the greatest human being that ever was!

“Idiot” and “moron” are certainly accurate words to describe Trump, but a bit too crude for proper Brit politicians (publicly ).
if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment.

Re: UK's Ambassador to the US blast Trump

it does confirm what many have been saying; tRump has diminished the presidency among world leaders

Ambassador Kim Darroch reportedly said Trump’s presidency could “crash and burn” and “end in disgrace” ...

“We don’t really believe this administration is going to become substantially more normal; less dysfunctional; less unpredictable; less faction riven; less diplomatically clumsy and inept,”
Donald Trump 'inept' and 'dysfunctional', UK ambassador to US says | US news | The Guardian

... the “vicious infighting and chaos” inside the White House – widely reported in the US but dismissed by Trump as “fake news” – was “mostly true” ...
... Darroch criticised Trump’s fraught foreign policy on Iran, which has prompted fears in global capitals of a military conflict, as “incoherent” and “chaotic”.

He allegedly said the president’s assertion that he called off retaliatory missile strikes against the Iranian regime after a US drone was shot down because it risked killing 150 Iranians “doesn’t stand up”.

“It’s more likely that he was never fully on board and that he was worried about how this apparent reversal of his 2016 campaign promises would look come 2020,” Darroch reportedly stated, referring to the next presidential election. ...
and the british government does not stand back from these unvarnished assessments

The ambassador's government may have to distance itself from yet another player on the world stage to let it slip, although most everyone knows about the emperor's lack of clothes by now.

But hey, trashing our good reputation and making us the butt of the world's jokes is well worth an ignorant judge confirmation machine. Thankfully while he may not know anything about international relations, he sure knows how to lead a chant...

I completely agree with this little bit of reality from Nigel Farage:

“From the moment Trump was elected this man was the wrong person to be the British ambassador - a globalist in outlook, totally opposed to the Trump doctrine.
The comments are wholly unsurprising but for him to speculate about Trump's alleged involvement with Russia shows him to be totally unsuitable for the job and the sooner he is gone the better.”
"In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy,” Trump said, standing beside Vice President Pence. “These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hatred has no place in America.”

The people that brought us the never-ending train wreck named Brexit have no moral authority to call anyone anything, ever.
