Make fun of Congress we will prosecute

That's not going to happen, although clearly the violent culture engendered by border personnel needs to corrected.

That will take a new president.

Democrat Rep. Frederica Wilson said people who are “making fun” of members of Congress online should be “prosecuted.”

Rep. Frederica Wilson demands prosecution for those who mock Congress online

Democratic Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson asserted that people who mock members of Congress online should face prosecution.

"Those people who are online making fun of members of Congress are a disgrace, and there is no need for anyone to think that is unacceptable [sic]," Wilson said during comments made Tuesday outside of the Homestead Temporary Shelter for Unaccompanied Children in Homestead, Florida. "We're gonna shut them down and work with whoever it is to shut them down, and they should be prosecuted," she continued. "You cannot intimidate members of Congress, frighten members of Congress. It is against the law, and it's a shame in this United States of America."

Wilson has long been a critic of the president, whom she has claimed is "crazy" and suffering from "a brain disorder." She waded into a public feud with the White House in October 2017, when she listened in on a phone call that Trump made to Myeshia Johnson, the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, who was killed in the line of duty in Niger on Oct. 4, 2017. Wilson claimed that Trump told the Gold Star widow that her husband "knew what he signed up for, but I guess it still hurt." The White House denied her characterization of the phone call, with then-White House chief of staff John Kelly saying he was "stunned" that a member of Congress would listen to and publicize such a private conversation.

Florida Democrat says those '''making fun''' of members of Congress online should be '''prosecuted''' | Fox News

Democrat Rep. Frederica Wilson said people who are “making fun” of members of Congress online should be “prosecuted.”

Sorry Wilson but see our 1st amendment we can make fun of you all we want to.

Yet again, you guys are distracted by the pretty headlines and fail to read the article in context. It is quite clear she meant to prosecute those that try to intimidate or threaten congress members which IS against the law as she stated.

She stated that clearly by saying:

“You cannot intimidate members of Congress, frighten members of Congress. It is against the law, and it's a shame in this United States of America.”

Yay for cons not bothering to read in context and jumping to conclusions.

What a visual Dems have given us this week. They go to the border and decry the rights of illegals and in the next breath, swear to prosecute Americans for exercising theri 1st amendment rights.
Who wants to lose the election?

Sounds pretty clear that she's talking about those making fun of members of congress, AND equating 'making fun' online with 'intimidating'.

You can threaten members of Congress politically. You can't make criminal threats against any member of Congress or anyone else.

No she isn't, she spoke clearly she was talking about things that are already illegal. But please continue to lie if it makes you feel better.

She was specifically talking about the criminal threats. I know I know, the facts ruin the right's frothing of the mouth syndrome, sorry. Your comments, as usual, are a joke and a very bad one at that.

Yea and she’s clearly talking about the second one

No, her words didn't reflect that.

Yes, they did and I posted where. Your lies are still lies.

You posted one sentence, without the sentences right before it. Here they are again:

"Those people who are online making fun of members of Congress are a disgrace, and there is no need for anyone to think that is unacceptable [sic]. We're gonna shut them down and work with whoever it is to shut them down, and they should be prosecuted.
You cannot intimidate members of Congress, frighten members of Congress. It is against the law, and it's a shame in this United States of America."

Clearly, she's talking about people 'making fun of congress' online. Also note that she and others (notably O-C) have called 'making fun' of someone on social media, including memes, 'threats and intimidation'.

She said what she said. Apparently, making fun of Congress is now intimidation to frighten and anyone who does this needs to be prosecuted. These are not two separate thoughts just because they are two separate sentences. She knows EXACTLY what she meant.

your lack of reading skills you missed this. but honesty is difficult for you guys so here it is so you can't miss it.

"Those people who are online making fun of members of Congress are a disgrace, and there is no need for anyone to think that is unacceptable [sic],” Wilson said.

sorry hun you don't like it do us all a favor and leave congress.

Facebook group that includes Border Patrol agents and where they allegedly mocked and posted graphic content about members of Congress, including New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

you didn't read but then again that is expected.

Exactly what she said.
