Dude, do you want it sunny and warm tomorrow, or wet and cold?

My invention makes it rain anywhere.

The middle of the desert and coming forest fire harbor the ideal conditions for making it rain.

More rain means less water in the atmosphere, means more evaporation over Oceans causing global cooling three times. It evaporates, it cools the Earth and the cloud cover, which keeps the heat in at night, and the fall, and cools it off during the day.

But no, a drizzly warm blanket is not on anyone's idea of a North-land, they want it sun streaked and cold.

I don't think you will find anybody who is not mad who does not think that the climate changes.

Are you talking about the sensible people who understand some science and thus understand that there is nothing to worry about? Skeptics?
 
We have had winter,spring.summer and fall as long as I can remember

Imagine being stupid enough to think we can glean anything from 100 years of study (which of maybe 20 years has any real accuracy) to determine the "normal" climate of a planet 4.56 billion years old.

We have absolutely no clue what is normal, or for that matter, what is the ideal climate. We have no idea what the average temp is, average CO2 levels, average sea levels, average storm frequency, average rainfall, etc etc etc etc etc. The current state of the climate could be as good as it gets for humans. Our crop yields are massive.

Big whoopsies. I guess you and DonDon just discovered that scientists tend to not be good politicians. Goodie for you. YES, they changed the title at the top of their banners from Global Warming to Climate Change....BIG WHOPPSIES.
 
DonDon might well be on the way to the straw that breaks the camel's back with farmers as he is deconstructing the scientific research arms of the Dept of Agriculture that provide critical data to farmers regarding the nutritional value of crops both as human food sources and food sources for cattle and a whole host of other data points. Why...because it is impossible to avoid Climate Change related topics in providing those data points and in any discussion of data and farmers and DonDon does not like to be called for his Climate Change idiocy and will attack anybody with a brain regardless who gets bulldozed in the process.

He has given whole scientific research departments within the Dept of Agriculture one month from June 15th 2019 to decide to move lock stock and barrel from DC to Kansas City or be summarily fired on July 15th, 2019. Kansas City does not even have a building for them at this point. No building has been selected. Out of desperation, the research scientists have formed a union which the Administration claims it will gladly negotiate with starting on July 16th, 2019.

This is the self-aggrandizing, idiotic, sadistic narcissism of the Donald at work. He does not care who he bulldozes in the process as long as he sees a path to more power and more wealth for himself. Farmers, bulldoze them.....Veterans, bulldoze them, .....wait for it Evangelists....it will be your turn if you give DonDon long enough. He will tell you he loves you while he is throwing the dirt over your graves.

No, I mean not recognizing that the scientific community realized that the title at the top of their research findings was not resonating. So they changed it. BIG WHOOPSIES!!! Scientists turn out to be not such great politicians. BIG WHOOPSIES.

Conservatives, and uneducated conservative christians. It's either 'god did it', or a communist plot to rob them of their money or 'it's just the normal climate cycle'. They'll point to one or two examples of mistakes being made for their 'aha!' moment and ignore scientific consensus. They are best ignored.

"Its hot so there is global warming" summarizes the depth of liberal thinking, then? Its funny that you scoff at someone dismissing global warming with a harsh winter, but then use a heat wave as proof of global warming. You are treating global warming as a religion at that point.


We are not capable of knowing if it was or wasnt warming. 100 years is the blink of an eye on a planet 4.56 billion years old.

I have and Im not naive enough to think ~20 years of reliable climate data is enough to know anything about a planet 4.56 billion years old. I used to be a big believer in the global warming thing but then I wised up and realized we have no way of knowing what is normal and probably never will.

Don't know how many....don't care. I do know that all of the federal government USDA research scientists that provide critical data to farmers and that Trump is trying to toss out of their jobs are funded by the US government. Trump is doing it because he disagrees with them and he does not like any reference to Climate Change. Never mind that they simply cannot provide the material they provide to the farm community without including Climate Change analysis in the data. The Orangutan in the WH apparently knows better or maybe just maybe he is so unscrupulous, he just does not care.

The research scientists that populate these departments are funded by our tax dollars. They were funded by our tax dollars when they took the discovery of penicillin and industrialized the process of producing it, were funded before that and every day since then by the US government.

Don't know...don't care. Unlike trumpettes who claim that he is the anti-politician when in fact he is the uber-politican not all of us view the actions of every living thing on this planet through a political lens. We have been collecting data on climate since at least 1880 (as your research will have informed you). Do you honestly think scientists have nothing better to do than to foist a fraud on the world's population? Many conservatives laughingly believe that their only motivation is the next grant cheque. That's some real stupidity.

I do believe man has an impact on the climate - we burn CO2 and it's a greenhouse gas. However, we get our climate information from the media, and there are a few issues there. The first is that they don't tell us that CO2 loses its greenhouse efficiency as atmospheric CO2 concentrations increase. We also don't get before/after photos of islands or shorelines depicting sea level rise. This is because the rise has been extremely minor.

Another item is that higher temperatures themselves cause CO2 concentrations to rise, as an cursory examination of the yearly Mauna Loa record will show, particularly 1998. This lack of mediating information from the press suggests an agenda.

You trust data from 1880? How widespread was the data collection? How accurate? How was it collected and compiled? How many data points were there? Where were they put?

I think people are self serving. There is a lot of money in climate research. Why would you put yourself out of lucrative work? Scientists have committed fraud throughout history. It seems like climate research is ANTI science. The point of science is to prove your hypothesis WRONG...which the climate scientists are doing nothing but trying to prove themselves right, clearly, to keep the money rolling in. If they proved their hypothesis wrong, the money stops being shoveled their way.


Really the most important thing is 100 years of data collection, in no way, tells us what is normal on a planet 4.56 billion years old. You are naive to think otherwise.

So don't rely on media, screeching headlines and cherry-picked data. There are plenty of scientific papers published online where you can do your own research, and from which you can draw your own conclusions; and not the dumbed-down, non-scientific conclusions of the media. What does the media understand except selling news?
