Masked Antifa will equate and attack anyone who voted for Trump, for any reason, as a "Nazi." Be they Black, Latino, elderly, women, or ANYONE wearing a MAGA hat. After Portland violence last weekend one would think major media would take opportunity to do some soul-searching reporting. Instead they glorify Antifa as fighters of the "far right."

New York Times: What Is Antifa? Explaining the Movement to Confront the Far Right

...
Although the Merriam-Webster dictionary says the word “antifa” was first used in 1946 and was borrowed from a German phrase signaling an opposition to Nazism, more people began joining the antifa movement in the United States after the 2016 election of President Trump, to counter the threat they believed was posed by the so-called alt-right, Mr. Bray said.

The word and movement gained more visibility in 2017 after a series of events that put a spotlight on anti-fascist protesters, including the punching of a prominent alt-right member; the cancellation of an event by a right-wing writer at the University of California, Berkeley; and the protests in Charlottesville that turned violent.

CNN: What you need to know about Antifa

....

Why are they controversial?

The group is known for causing damage to property during protests. In Berkeley, black-clad protesters wearing masks threw Molotov cocktails and smashed windows at the student union center where the Yiannopoulos event was to be held.

Crow, who was involved with Antifa for almost 30 years, said members use violence as a means of self-defense and they believe property destruction does not equate to violence.

"There is a place for violence. Is that the world that we want to live in? No. Is it the world we want to inhabit? No. Is it the world we want to create? No. But will we push back? Yes," Crow said.

Just "damage to property"

This polarization of society is not taking place in a vacuum. It is being encouraged by prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton, who said: ""You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about." This is a dog whistle to low IQ Antifa types who see it as a green light to violence.

Leftist city mayors are now the allies of Antifa rather than their own law enforcement. It's sick.

Far right rallies should have a warning sign on them: Associate with Nazis and you might get punched...

Re: New York Times, CNN Promote Antifa Violence by Portraying as Heroes Attacking "Far Right"

Describing Antifa and their sometimes violent tactics is glorifying them?

Portraying them as attacking the "far right" is. They attack anyone with a MAGA hat and anyone with them.

Why do you hate hate crime?

I understand that Ngo was beaten so badly - while Antifa terrorists screamed homophobic slurs - that he suffered a brain hemorrhage and had to be readmitted to the hospital.

The Antifa scum who did this will be facing murder charges if he dies.

They're fascist terrorists, plain and simple.

Brownshirts.

Re: New York Times, CNN Promote Antifa Violence by Portraying as Heroes Attacking "Far Right"

Trump should declare Antifa to be in insurrection against lawful authority and the Portland City government is refusing to protect civil rights of conservatives and order federal army troops on to the streets. Furthermore a state of emergency should be declared and anyone who possesses black bloc masks and antifa logo’d gear should be arrested and detained

This is no different then when southern leaders were condoning klan riders and refusing to prosecute them. Same political party even

I watched the video. Didn't hear the homophobic slurs.

Re: New York Times, CNN Promote Antifa Violence by Portraying as Heroes Attacking "Far Right"

Lot of BS going around about how the old man was swinging a collapsible baton and was "asking for it." Go to 7:30 in video. Antifa attacked him first. Truth is important. Portland protest 6/29/2019

Re: New York Times, CNN Promote Antifa Violence by Portraying as Heroes Attacking "Far Right"

He was asking for it because Trump is LITERALLY Hitler.

If people don't want to be assaulted, it's not enough to refrain from wearing MAGA hats.

They must also wear "I'm With Her" armbands.

Otherwise, they're fair game.

Like gay/minority journalists.

And they're masked cowards, too.

But for the grace of God, she would have become the president of the United States of America.

Whew! That was a close call.

But for the grace of God, she would have become the president of the United States of America.

Whew! That was a close call.

And liberals/Democrat are making all of us pay for it every day.

They would see this country destroyed because their rape-loving sociopath lost.
