A wall will cut the flow of illegal immigrants. Many go around the wall now to spots where there is no wall. We need to rewrite our laws to make illegal immigration harder. Democrats refuse to do this. Hell, some even want to decriminalize illegal immigration and eliminate ICE. When you have open arms to welcome illegal immigrants, they flood here in greater numbers, causing the humanitarian crisis. All Democrats ever want to do is address the humanitarian crisis while making it easier and easier for these people to come here. STOP making it so easy for these people to come here and then they won't come here to a degree where it is a humanitarian crisis. We need to figure out some way to stop overystaying visas. We need a wall. We need to change our laws so you can't come here illegally and then claim asylum. We need to stop birthright citizenship. We need to get rid of sanctuary cities. We need to stop talking about giving illegals free healthcare.

And, something we should do, and both sides would be too chicken to do it, but, we need to invade Central America, annex it as part of the US, and overthrow all the corrupt people who are responsible for these immigrants wanting to leave. If they want to be in the US so bad then let's bring the US to them instead of the other way around. I seriously doubt any of them would object to that so, why not do it?

There's no other reason than her malice towards Trump and she showed, clearly, that she hates Trump more than she wants to provide humanitarian relief at the border, for the border crisis which she and other Dems vehemently insisted did not exist just a few months ago.

Heck, I am sure this isn't something that is solved quickly and easily. Many mistakes are being made. Just lets not point fingers back and forth. We have had people illegally flooding the country for decades. We still have incentives that draw them here. I don't even want to get into who is spreading the word in their home countries for them to risk life and limb to come here.
What I am sure about is that our immigration laws and loopholes, our lack of enforcement, sanctuary cities, are being used for political contrivance. Ask yourself, do our politicians really want to solve this, or do they want to swipe at each other, play on our emotions to garner votes so they can stay in power for a few more rounds?

Huge difference between Obama and Trump. The Obama administration rarely separated children from their adult chaperones, only doing so when the adult was found not to be a relative, when the adult was deemed to be unfit because of addiction/abuse or other issues.

Trump tore families apart as part of a “zero tolerance” plan specifically ordered as a deterrent to others considering bringing their families to America. A strategy that failed spectacularly, resulting in thousands of children being lost in the children’s services bureaucracy. Many who’s parents have already been deported and may never be reunited.. That shame will be part of Trump’s legacy.

LIke under Obama there was bipartisan immigration reform passed in the Senate, 30 billions for border security, Boner, the McConnel of that time, refused to even vote on it. They always talk about immigration to dupe their dumb base, just like they won't move ahead with any real immigration reform without stupid wall funding, because they care more about politics that actualliy getting anything done. Couldn't possibly let legislation happen under Obama. But of course, once republicans have power, they do absolutely nothing.

Nothing even close to this level of crowding and squalor and sickening mistreatment ever happened under Obama. This is TRUMP'S policy, one that he WANTED to be horrible in order to deter people from coming. It hasn't, and this is the result. The Trump administration is failing to provide anything human for these people, preferring to treat them like animals. It's not a bug, it's a FEATURE of Trump's policy on immigration, legal or illegal.

Is this your America? In your America, do we treat fellow human beings like this, for any reason? Not in my America we don't. I was raised to believe that in the entire world, we were the good guys. Well, good guys don't do this.

The complete incompetence of the administration and the agencies involved in this horrific fiasco has no bottom. There is no accountability with the Trump administration.

The crisis, or the reason for these people being desperate enough to make the journey and endure these additional horrific hardships, may be of our making, but do you really think that if anyone other than Trump were in the Offal Office, this magnitude of incompetency would exist? Do you think that any administration would handle this the same way Trump's administration is doing?

Please provide a link to prove your claim that Obama's administration separated families, even those who came legally and presented themselves to authorities, seeking asylum.

You can repeat that tired old story ten thousand times but people know whats going on. Trump made the border problem a campaign promise so Democrats decided to abandon their obligations to try and make this a Trump problem.

Walls are now racist. Democrats refuse to give Trump any funding to secure the border with physical barriers but under Clinton to Obama they built 700 miles of it. Democrats support sanctuary cities and now are running on elimination of ICE, decriminalizing Illegal status, and free medical for all of them.

Since Trump has no support from Democrats he declares a national emergency so he can get the funding to build the barriers we need and Democrats try and take his executive authority away.

Democrats create these stupid Immigration laws like catch and release and asylum laws and laws governing people with children that guarantee everyone a free pass and children being sold or taken to overcome these laws with numbers hitting 100,000 crossings per month and DHS and all of Border patrol telling you they need more barriers to stop the problem, Democrats come up with experts who say walls don't work.

If you don't think people know whats going on your are just kidding yourself. WE ALL know whats going on. And just about when you think the hypocrisy and lies couldn't get any worse, AOC gets caught in a lie about people drinking out of toilets. NEVER HAPPENED. We know this because the sink and toilet are all on the same water line and these correctional style combos have been in use for years without fail.

I would say buckle up because Trump will fix the problem and history will show (just as it has in the past) the deceit and utter bulls*** of the Democratic party. We need look no further than the pledges every candidate took to support Illegal immigration in those debates coupled with the DNC being 6 million in the hole and the catastrophic demise of CNN. I think it's important to mention she didn't vote for the funding because the funding didn't come with guarantees that the funding would be used to actually fix these inhumane conditions. I don't think that's unreasonable.

We all get it and we all know whats going on. People aren't buying this story anymore. Democrats stopping any funding to secure the border while over 100,000 people per month are crossing. What did you think was going to happen? Democrats make asylum laws, bring a kid get a free pass law, when you get here we will get you a free lawyer and tell you what to say, and catch and release law and you thought that was going to stop illegal immigration? Now after DHS and Border Patrol come forward nationally and say we have to have more border barriers to stove off the utter assault of people (because these stupid laws work for them) Democrats bring in their experts to say walls don't work?

And when we ask them to fix these laws they refuse and when we ask for funding to build more barriers they refuse and now taking pledges to decriminalize Illegals, stop deporting them, and given them free medical?
