My Time is Up

Don’t kid yourself. Old man Joe isn’t going away easily either. He’ll probably be the nominee. The only goal in this election is getting rid of Trump and if it takes a guy who can appeal to moderate voters, “God” bless him.

The only one of them that made any sense was John Delaney. Maybe a little Gabbard and Hickenlooper. They wouldn't even let them talk much. Trump 2020. Live it. Be it. Get used to it. It's happening.

Reality can be a big pill to swallow..

The reality is that Trump won both debates.

Democrats must take control of the Senate.

If not, socialism is Dead.

Trumps appeal is he’s real....no filter....like it or hate it....IT comes through.

Warren/Harris yelling loud at Trump won’t matter because shrill and canned is easily detected and detested by voters.

Yet you voted for the biggest loudmouth liar to ever grace the White House. Interesting.

Now, of all the things I would have thought could have been automated in my lifetime, laundry has to be it. In fact, can't we come up with self cleaning clothes that just disinfect themselves while they sit in like a UV closet or something?

Why the hell do we still use soap and water with hand folding? Sheesh, that is so 18th century.

Oh well, at least I will have something to do when I retire. Endless loads of laundry. :)

Already done old chap...;)

Said every single older generation ever. ;) :)

Said every younger generation as well.

I find the perspective of some young people quite refreshing, while respecting well grounded older people as well.

Every generation has it's unique circumstances and situations which they will grow into.

You're just saying that to make me feel better...

I made a comment on the word "shrill" and it IS used chauvinistically. Sorry if facts upset you. It was used in a sexist manner here on this thread by at least two people, so I pointed it out in the hope that maybe at least one of those using it would think about that double standard and use some other term that isn't so sexist. Silly me.

Facts don't upset me. As I've already said, I'm familiar with how describing a woman's voice as shrill can be misogynistic. My objection was to your insinuating that I was being misogynistic. Well, that and your not acknowledging that some women's voices are shrill because this too is a fact.

Biden is the front runner.

Yes, demonstrating how bankrupt our 2 party system is, offering a complete lack of leadership.

Yes, things will change between now and the actual election, I know.

If he was a racist, he is the worst racist you ever saw. Wouldn't that make Alveda King, and Bernice King racist. Or that historical low in African American unemployment doesn't work well for that theory either. Trump appointed the first black female general in the US Marine corps. Or maybe the rare bipartisan deal in Congress to overhaul federal sentencing laws passed after a few black ministers, leaders and lawmakers forged an alliance with President Donald Trump.

the Young black conservatives wearing Make America Great Again caps chanting the president's name at the White House, Black activists with the Project 21 black leadership network are applauding the Trump Administration’s newly announced reforms for American colleges and universities..

This is your racist? You might have to redefine that word cuz it don't fit here
.

Their racist was Obama's VP for 8 YEARS! How do they reconcile that one?
Or how do the reckon Obama giving Biden the Presidential Medal of Freedom?

How did a RACIST serve under Obama for 8 years?

Rush Limbaugh’s voice is shrill. I’ve never seen a Right Winger acknowledge it. Harris was not shrill. Neither was Hillary. Nor is Warren. But we will hear it described as such for no reason other than that they are D females.

You know who was shrill? Sarah Palin. You know who else is shrill? Ann Coulter. I guess we can add Jared Kushner to the list too, when he squeaks.

And this ^ is why I reject leftism.

I'm not leftist, just anti-religious, pro-gay, pro-choice and anti-concentration camp. In other words, sane.

And a troublemaker. You forgot troublemaker.

I was SOOO not insinuating anything. I was just pointing out the use of a traditionally sexist description of women talking. You chose to take it personally.

Oh, right. You didn't make it personal with "I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but that's a misogynist take on women in politics, that they are only likeable if they are calm and quiet. I call BS."

Can you provide a quote showing where a male is called shrill?

not just Biden, a lot of them didn't do great at this first debate. Bernie fumbled pretty hard on some things, too, which was disheartening. Between the two nights, the only real standouts were Bill deBlasio and Elizabeth Warren, imo. Kamala had a moment, but her policies and history aren't much better than anyone elses.

I thought DeBlasio was horrible. Warren didn't move any needles from me. She's been the only one consistently articulating her policies, but she turns me off.

Yeah, if the candidate isn't actually at least leaning a tad left, I'm not going to like them, probably. The usual center / center-right neoliberal **** is for the birds.
