The news is Biden won the debate cuz nobody attacked him. :shock:

In the first 20 minutes of the recap with candidates talking in the spin room, their greatest hits have turned out to be foul balls. But not only that the policies they are pandering for are just not popular with the majority.

There were like 3 or 4 of those movies. The first one was pretty good. I don't remember the scene you're talking about though. But you're not the one who has to defeat the bug. Let trump's criminal spin masters watch the Dems try to look for creative ways to stand out while you curl up with your laptop and some Bed and Jerrys and read you some Brite Info Wars :)

the first one was big budget-well made-great special effects and some big name talent like Michael Ironside and NP Harris. Second one was really lame-

the third one brought back Ricco and was sort of based on the original book's main neat gadget-the robot suits.

the one I liked was the Iran deal. Everyone raised their hand to keep the Iran deal except booker. Then they walked there choice back by saying they’d try to make a better deal...funny, that was Donny’s idea too, go figure.
 
Before the debate, Trump tweeted that he wouldn’t be watching. “Sorry, I’m on Air Force One, off to save the Free World!” But about 40 minutes in, he tweeted, “BORING!” One problem: It came right after a particularly heavy portion about that tragic image of the father and daughter.

I was looking in only to see who would eliminate him or herself. Twenty has to get down to a reasonable number. Castro and Ryan managed to pull that off for me:
- Castro because he insisted that the candidates MUST agree to rescind the part of the Immigration statutes that hold criminal or civil penalties for illegal border crossing because Trump has used it to separate families at the border. He kept yammering on about a part of the Federal Code that was familiar territory for geeks like me but that just must have sounded like law geek yammering to the public at large. Way too down in the policy weeds for a debate format. How about don't send a sadistic maniac to the WH again. There ...problem solved Mr Secretary.

- Ryan because he got totally abused with regard to Afghanistan and showed himself to be totally lacking while he had his pants pulled down to the floor.

So in the matter of a couple hours I got 20 down to 18 without even breathing hard.

Any of them that INSIST on totally removing Private Health Insurance are out too. They can have Access to Medicare for all if they want as the public option. But 180 million Americans are covered by Private Health Insurance through employers and its now one of the last untaxed benefits Americans have. Maybe Medicare for ALL is a goal worth pursuing.....but claiming the right move is to get there in one fell swoop is asinine and a political loser to boot. So that probably knocks out 3 or 4 more of them though I would be lying to claim I know for certain where any of them will actually come down on this issue.

There is considerable to outrageous abuse in Private Health Insurance and I hate it for what it actually represents. But that is the road we went down a long time ago and you cannot just dynamite that road in one fell swoop.

Yeah, all the naysayers on this thread will vote Trump/GOP no matter what. Turtle and other Republicans opinions on a anything regarding the Democratic debates are irrelevant. If anything, all they want to do is divide the Democrats as much as possible, knowing full well a divided Democratic party is the only way Trump and the loser Republicans can actually win.

The moderators kept featuring her - at the expense of everyone but their OTHER obvious co-pet, Beto O'Cuck - but she only shone a couple of times; she looked frail and confused.

I thought she had the best two moments of an otherwise horrendous, pandering snoozefest; she stood out despite the moderators' best efforts to marginalize her, and basically won the debate.
