From the Depths, issued an open invitation Friday for Ocasio-Cortez to join it on a tour of Holocaust sites: We at From The Depths, would like to invite you as our guest during your summer recess from The United Congress, to join us along with Holocaust Survivor, United States Citizen and President of From The Depths, Mr. Edward Mosberg on an educational tour, specifically built for legislators, of the German Nazi Concentration Camps. The educational tour will visit Mauthausen, Auschwitz-Birkenau and Majdanek Concentration Camps, amongst many other educational sites.

But Ocasio-Cortez refused the invitation, citing the fact that Rep. Steve King (R-IA) had been on a similar tour or something.

-On Thursday morning Dominik Tarczynski, who is a member of Parliament in Poland, invited AOC to visit his ancestral homeland and "study the concentration camps" so that she can learn how they differ from the detention centers.Tarczynski also said that people in Poland become "agitated" when someone "cheapens the history" and tries to use it for "political point-scoring."

TARCZYŃSKI Dominik on Twitter: "With this letter, I am formally inviting @AOC to come to Poland,where Adolf Hitler set up the worst chain of concentration camps the world has ever seen, so that she may see that scoring political points with enflamed rhetoric is unacceptable in our contemporary Western societies… https://t.co/91Q9NzJWKg"

She declined.

- A group against anti-Semitism is inviting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) to tour Nazi concentration camps. The invitation, tweeted by Americans Against Antisemitism founder Dov Hikind, was in response to Ocasio-Cortez’s recent comments comparing immigration detention facilities to Nazi camps.

She declined.

She even got an invite to those so-called American Concentration Camps:

- The vice president of the National Border Patrol Council extended Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a personal invitation to tour a detention facility after she claimed that the U.S. government is “running concentration camps on our southern border” to hold illegal immigrants.“She needs to come down here, I’ll offer to show her myself the area,” Art Del Cueto, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council and a Border Patrol agent, told Bill Hemmer Tuesday while appearing on “America’s Newsroom.”

Naturally she has not accepted.

Ms. AOC is running like a scalded cat, the threat of being informed threatens a woman happy with her delusions. She's afraid of being, as she might put it, 'woke'. … as she should be.

AOC was offered $10.000.00 in cash just to debate her political stances. Shes a real hero when she has a microphone but cowards away if she has to be accountable for her BS. Typical in those ranks though.

The right confuses concentration camps, and death camps. And concentration camps don't have to be exactly the same as Germany's for the name to have a point.

Refer back to the first 5 words of my earlier response. People are literally dying from preventable deaths in these concentration camps, so forgive me if you don't get a pat on the head, and a full sized candy bar for only going Diet Nazi.

She says "never again" like, "never again should we have concentration camps" and apparently this means she was talking about Nazi Extermination camps because.... because... because people are so damn desperate to attack people for complete and utter nonsense.

Had Trump said it, you'd be applauding him.

She's not the stupid one. 1) She's done a Trump and got people talking about her and 2) you're all attacking her in a manner which doesn't make you look very intelligent.
 
Eliminate the detainment of those who enter the U.S. illegally by returning them to the country they entered from more rapidly, and if they entered that country illegally too let them deal with them.

You had family die in extermination camps not concentration camps. There is a difference that pretty much all experts agree on and AOC is correct.

So there is no difference between the Nazi concentration camps and these immigrant detention centers?? Now who is 'beyond the God damn pale.' :roll: Were they concentration camps when Obama used them? I dont recall you throwing a hissy fit when he was president. But how about you offer up an alternative rather than just repeat the idiocy you hear your leaders spout? What would President Pancake do with 100,000 illegals streaming across the border each month?

It sounds like you think only certain Concentration Camps are worthy of note, and others aren't. Which ones aren't?

We used to think "Never Again", but based on their posts, many Trump supporters like Concentration Camps, so long as it's brown skinned people being put into them, and not Jews.

Which, when you consider they support the leader of the racist Birther Movement, would be expected.

Much of the Trump base' stand seems to be that so long as Concentration Camps are being used to house brown skinned, they're perfectly acceptable. Based on their posts, only Jews are worthy of our sympathy with "Never Again".

The Nazis made no such semantic distinction. Every 'camp' was a concentration camp, and people were murdered in all of them; Majdanek, Treblinka, Bergen-Belsen, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Sobibor, Sachsenhausen etc.

Death camps and concentration camps were completely different

Concentration camps had extensive housing as well as facilities for forced labor. And no ovens or gas chambers. Death camps had ovens, gas chambers and minimal housing

The Nazis had concentration camps and extermination camps.

The thing is, that Auschwitz was both.

There was Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II-Birkenau and Auschwitz III-Monowitz.

Auschwitz I was not officially an extermination camp, though the first exterminations took place there. But after 1942 they were not carried out there any more.

Auschwitz II-Birkenau was the main extermination camp and Auschwitz III-Monowitz was a concentration camp for work.

Also there were sub camps, 44 in all with 50-1000 prisoners kept at a time. Some of these produced food, others were industrial and some random ones.

Chełmno was an extermination camp and so were Treblinka, Sajmište, Maly Trostinets and Belzec.

Other camps were Labour camps, Transit camps, prisoner camps and the like. Some camps served more than one purpose, like Auschwitz.

a place where large numbers of people (such as prisoners of war, political prisoners, refugees, or the members of an ethnic or religious minority) are detained or confined under armed guard —used especially in reference to camps created by the Nazis in World War II for the internment and persecution of Jews and other prisoners

While I am not particularly an AOC fan, AOC apologist or an AOC detractor for that matter, it would not appear that she needs to go to Poland in order to know the meaning of the term. All she needed was a dictionary. Of course, dictionaries seem in rare supply around these parts.

They all killed people; either through deliberate murder or by working people to death, by starvation, medical experimentation and any other method the Nazis could devise. I suggest you read a little more on the subject. Don't call me a liar sonny.

Please explain. How do you possibly draw the comparison? Are we shipping these people in by the train full, force them to come?
