Am I the only one who smells the stench of yet another Trump whopper?

I listened to part of an interview Trump did with Chuck Todd, during which Trump described his thoughts/actions during last nights on, then off retaliatory strike against Iran for downing one of our spy drones.

Trump said that “his Generals” came to tell him that everything was ready to go for launching the operation. Trump said that he asked if there would be any human casualties, and the General told him he had to go find out and would get right back to him. A short while later, Trump said, the General came back and advised him that casualties could reach 150 dead.

The glaring irregularity in Trump’s purported story is that he wasn’t briefed at that time how many could be killed. That’s bull****. President’s are advised beforehand of that very important factor.

Was Trump trying to make himself out to be a hero?

Watch for more to come out about this.

I mean, it doesn't really matter. Trump and his admin have been working up to this **** with Iran since day one, there is no saving face here.

Do you think there was never a bombing planned, that Trump ordered it and the generals ignored the order, or it was called off for another reason?

"His Generals"?

I feel like I'm reading something being retold by the parents of a fat toddler opening his first Battleship game on Christmas morning.

It's not hard to figure this out folks.

This was another reality show stunt by Trump for attention and to look tough. He gave the order with no intention of going through with it, and planned to pull out at the last minute. The stunt made him look as though he was willing to be tough on Iran, will not having to actually conduct a strike against them.

And your expertise on this comes from . . .?

He is the Commander In Chief of the military, so, yeah, "is generals". Kinda like your boss calling you one of his employees.

I think you're absolutely right.

Trump does everything for the effect. He's a reality TV game show host to this day.

You don't understand how serious the situation is. We have a president who is so dishonest that nobody can believe anything he says. If you're honest with yourself, you have to admit that you have no idea if Trump is lying or not.

My guess is they discussed an assault and he decided against it. Remember Trump's book? He likes using "truthful hyperbole." In other words, he likes to exaggerate and distort events. He probably thinks it will scare Iran to think they were minutes away from being attacked.

It smelled when I first read his tweets and then heard his interview. As a former NSC briefer said, "“Can any of us take at face value Trump’s portrayal of events?” he asked. “We don’t even know what the real story is. We have a president who basically runs the same play over and over again, which is: He lights everything on fire and then he pretends to put the fire out and take credit for it.”

Under ‘regular order’ in the NSC process, yes, but we don’t have regular order so perhaps not,” said a former NSC staff member who served under both Republican and Democratic presidents.
Among the information a president would receive from intelligence agencies and Department of Defense officials:
Estimate of military members and civilians killed and injured at the target sites;

Estimate of potential U.S. service members killed and injured during the operation;
Potential threats to U.S. military, diplomatic and civilian targets in retaliation actions by the targeted country.

One would think that it's a good thing that further escalation in an already volatile region of the world was avoided, yet so many condemn the decision.

Make no mistake, had the decision gone the other way, to proceed with the strikes, the same people would condemn that decision as well.

Just as long as they can condemn the president which they don't like, that's all that makes them happy.

Frankly, getting completely fed up with this bull**** and hypocrisy.

lol please, he's been doing his best to do just that since he started. the fact that nothing really bad has happened so far is actually a ****ing miracle.

The only thing he does well are media stunts.

He's entire empire is built on 'Fake it til' you make it'. He's not a good businessman, an intellect, a sex machine, or a leader. He's a small minded sociopath that pretends to be with smoke and mirrors, slogans, and media games and attention whoring.

Lots of people are stupid enough to eat it up like it's ice cream.

This is why nobody takes these threads seriously anymore. Had he launched an attack he would have been a childish war monger with a temper tantrum that only made the decision to get the countries attention away from (X)

So when he demonstrates some restraint and does not attack like every president before him trying to get us into another war, you can't stand he made a good decision for the country so instead of promoting the right decision, all you are left with is some BS concocted story you just made up out of thin air to just hate on the guy.

You do realize how hypocritical this is, right?

I know, right? I mean, how dare Trump make the right decision. We just can't have this. Its going to ruin everyone's weekend not able to post how hes a war mongering ass who only attacked to get everyones mind off of (X). This sucks.

Remember that story he told about how he fought for a raise for the military?

"They said 2%. I said no. They said 5%. I said no, make it 10%"

At this point, you have to have the mind of a child to believe anything Trump says.

Yeah, total BS. The potential casualties for such an operation would have been one of the first things that they would have shared with him.

There are two options for a President: make a move, or don't.

When you go halfway and then change your mind, you look like a leader that's unsure of themselves, and something not be taken seriously.

I think even someone on your level would knows this, but you're pretending like it's hard for you to understand. But, the reality is that if Obama had done a halfway military action and then changed his mind, you'd be killing him a weak ***** that isn't capable of leading.

He was playing you and you're eating up.

So what would he have been had he attacked Iran?

Would you have condemned him if he attacked Iran? Would you quit Trump if he launched a full assault on Iran with boots on the ground?
