I’m calling bull crap on Trump’s last minute order cancellation

Do you think there was never a bombing planned, that Trump ordered it and the generals ignored the order, or it was called off for another reason?

Generals love to plan things, whether they are brought into action or not. That's what Operation Northwoods was all about. Plans that POTUS rejected.

Except for the part you just made up because you can't acknowledge the proper response made by Trump.

I think the point you are missing is the fact that we have reached a point where you can't take at face value whether the leader of the free world is speaking truthfully or not.

Lets be clear....was the right choice made? Of course it was. The bone of contention here is whether or not you believe the President himself made this call or whether or not one of "his generals" had to talk him off the ledge and this is just more of him attempting to appear smarter and more in control than he actually is.

That, for what its worth, is the problem. He has spent so much time grandstanding to appease his own ego, we can't with any certainty deduce whether he had anything to do with the decision other than coming out and giving voice to it....possibly against his own personal feelings, by the way.

Oh look, another "last minute" cancellation. This time its the ICE crackdown scheduled to begin today according to Donald the Benevolent.

Seeing a pattern here?

And another situation where we can't actually give any credit or blame to the man, since we don't know if it was actually him who figured out how crazy this idea was or if someone else finally managed to talk some sense into him, yet again. Make no mistake though....he WILL be taking ALL of the credit either way.

Before you come to a conclusion you need to decide which Trump you are going to take a stance with. First he's an ego maniac who is out of control and next he is being coaxed back from the edge by a general telling him what to do?

My problem is the guy can't ever get a break. If he attacked Iran he would be a war monger and now that he hasn't he is weak and indecisive. You can't play both sides of the court and expect to garnish reasonable conversation about this.

Given the fact that John Bolton has been a war monger since the beginning of time and has been pushing for an attack on Iran, I don't think the notion of him or one of his generals talking Trump out of an attack is even a reasonable consideration. It just ain't so. Why don't we just acknowledge the fact that he made the right call and give credit where credit is due.

Does every decision Trump makes have to have all these theories attached to them? How about, good call Mr. President and be done with it.

Am I the only one who smells the stench of yet another Trump whopper?

I listened to part of an interview Trump did with Chuck Todd, during which Trump described his thoughts/actions during last nights on, then off retaliatory strike against Iran for downing one of our spy drones.

Trump said that “his Generals” came to tell him that everything was ready to go for launching the operation. Trump said that he asked if there would be any human casualties, and the General told him he had to go find out and would get right back to him. A short while later, Trump said, the General came back and advised him that casualties could reach 150 dead.

The glaring irregularity in Trump’s purported story is that he wasn’t briefed at that time how many could be killed. That’s bull****. President’s are advised beforehand of that very important factor.

Was Trump trying to make himself out to be a hero?

Watch for more to come out about this.

Yeah, he was lying (duh). The casualty report would have been one of the first things Trump would be told.

It's another 'talk tough,' then pretend to be magnanimous and allow more discussion. Then blame the Democrats when a) there's no progress or b) you walk out 3 minutes into the "negotiation" and refuse to negotiate. (he's done that one twice now).

Maybe if he did so first, this wouldn't be such an issue. As I said earlier, thats kinda the point.

I'll make it a little clearer for you though.....I usually ere on the side of being an ego maniac with this President. I am a firm believer that he will say the most outlandish **** knowing that eventually, hes going to walk it back so that he can appear to have headed off the consequences of a monumentally stupid decision, always forgetting that we simply have to go back to the tape to see that it was him who originally brought up the monumentally stupid option in the first place. Always wanting to appear tough on everything comes with a cost. That cost comes in the form of almost always saying **** you will have to step back from before you find yourself painted into a corner.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, was actually going to let the President make this WWIII. I gave credit that the right decision was made in my earlier post. For what its worth, I don't actually care who made it. I was simply explaining to you why some people might have an issue giving credit to the President...and how silly it is that some people are angry they don't.

Fair enough. I know this might come as a real shocker but I have never liked Trump years before he ran for office. He is a typical blustery pompous New York millionaire with an ego about the same size as the city like all of them are. Although the media, celebrities, politicians, and the Democratic party fawned over Trump for years.

I voted for the guy because of the state of this government and the obvious cover ups, lies, and BS our government was involved in. Just an FYI, yeah, I voted for Obama in his first election.

Even with his propensity for being a typical blustery pompous New York millionaire with an ego about the same size as the city, he was not a bought and paid for candidate, not a politician, and didn't have any of the political baggage from outside special interest. Now before we jump to him being a Russian agent, its a waste of time to convince me of that so lets just save our breath. These are the reasons I voted for the guy.

Almost overnight, he was now hated by the media, Democrats, Republicans, celebrities, and every special interest group. That was the key for 63 million Americans to vote for Trump. He was EXACTLY what we thought he was. AN outsider with an ax to grind.

My predicted outcome if he won was both parties will now stop all this stupid stuff (like running Hillary) and be forced to provide some fresh new minds with outstanding accolades. But alas, the media and the Democrats decided to double down and continue the hate mongering at every opportunity. After watching what they tried to do to Kavanaugh and Trump over the last 3 years, I can guarantee you I will be voting for Trump again.

And the worst part is, nobody with half a brain will even consider running for President now. After what they have seen in the media and how easy it is to just make up claims against a sitting President, we have collectively shot ourselves in the foot for many years to come in hopes of finding someone both parties will support.

So based on Trumps accomplishments in office thus far, and the fact that my other choices will be Biden, Sanders, or Warren, yeah, I will not be giving any votes to the Democratic party for any office for a long time. Too bad really. I was actually hoping they would see the light and give us a choice but instead, what do we have. The identical behavior from 2016.

These are just my opinions and how I feel about this political climate. It doesn't mean I'm right or wrong but it is how I feel about this and at the end of the day, it is my vote I get to cast.

Your problem and those of other Trump haters like you is that Trump lives rent free in your head. You are so obsessed with hatred of Trump that you would have jumped down his throat no matter what decision he had made in regards to Iran. If objectivity was money, you would not have enough to buy a cup of coffee.

The President of the United States can't live rent free in anyone's head, especially not on a board called "Debate Politics". Not at all surprising that you don't know what the meaning of the phrase is. You Trump lovers just cry when someone is mean to your crush Donny.

For the record, and for the clueless among us who don't read my posts or at least lack basic skills to understand them, I agreed with his decision on Iran. For the record, and for the clueless among us who lack basic skills to comprehend simple English, my post that made you tinkle in your panties had exactly nothing to do with his decision.

That has been my position as well.

He made the right decision. In the range of a President having the means to make the right decision, there is everything from:
- even a blind pig finds a truffle now and again to
- solid support from aides into a well versed and capable President able to absorb and comprehend what is given to him and making the right choice.

The Problem is that in Trump's insistence in trying to make himself look like the "only I can solve it President" he claimed an absurdity. if he found out that the projections for Iranian casualties was 150 souls or so 30 minutes before the strike and ordered a stand down 10 minutes ahead of the start of the strike, either he did not look at the damned material laid before him or he has frigged up the Defense Dept with his "actings" horse dung and the NSC functioning under certifiable whack job Bombs Away Bolton so much that the SOP for this sort of activity simply never happened in a way that made the Iranian casualties apparent to him. All the OPTIONS that we can consider that could have led up to this frigged up process for coming to a decision are Trump's responsibility as well as the decision itself.

I am more inclined to think this is DonDon doing what DonDon does which is to lurch to decisions. He very likely lurched to the decision to strike and then thought better of it and lurched to another decision. We can decide for ourselves whether DonDon lurching to and fro like this is inherently dangerous....I have already made my decision in that regard. Equally absurd is DonDon thinking his "story" that literally describes lurch here and lurch there actually make sense to him as another story that would be considered as heroic DonDon coming to our rescue again and not realizing that for people with a brain it says just the opposite.

Now you are responding with sexual connotations about support for Trump and then adding tinkling into panties? That is strange behavior and positive proof that Trump lives rent free in your head. And it is you that does not understand the meaning. Basically you are 100% obsessed with Trump and still very frustrated that your choice, Hillary was vanquished in 2016.

The POTUS can't live rent free in someone's head. I suggest you learn what the phrase means.

Yeah, I'm obsessed with discussing the President on a board called "Debate Politics". How weird! I thought we were here to discuss politics and not American Idol.

Nobody wants to know about your crush on Hillary Clinton.

No...you are obsessed with rage and hatred of the president. If you were discussing politics, you would discuss agreement or disagreement with specific policy. When he is damned if he does or damned if he doesn't on your mind, that is not discussing politics. What is weird is your propensity to come up with sexual connotations over support of a politician. Then you top that with the panty tinkling comment. Is that a fetish of yours? Or are you still not quite over a political novice vanquishing crooked Hillary in 2016?

It is really sad that you cant believe a word out of his mouth. And it conceals any good he might do as well.

Your post is so ironic. You're melting down because i made a comment on something Trump said. You're falsely (as usual) accusing me of sharing your feelings of passion about a total stranger. Then you say I'm obsessed with Trump, when you have Barack Obama's name as part of your user name (obsession), and you kept bringing up Hillary Clinton (obsession) in a thread that has, well, exactly nothing to do with her. And you keep bringing up sex, which is clearly coming from the confines of your brain, and was no doubt triggered by your own incessant mentioning and obvious obsession with Mrs. Clinton. I don't want to know about your sexual fantasies with her.

I think you need to take a look inside yourself.

Not at all. I am more entertained at how gullible Liberals are pushing out stories of secret meetings with Trump admins who breach national security protocols to provide anonymous claims from national security meetings from inside the White House.

This is why the DNC is millions in debt right now and the RNC has 33 million in cash. Its this kind of continuing idiocy that pushes donors away from the DNC. For the same reasons the NYT won't allow any of their reporters on CNN and the same reason CNN ratings are the lowest in cable news networks in history.

This is why you see 100,000 people at Trump rallies while Dem candidates are lucky to fill a high school gymnasium.

Please continue, and don't forget to have those Vagina costumes cleaned and ready to march on DC. Best entertainment I have ever seen in my lifetime.
Never happened. Just more Trump Kool-Aid for his followers to slurp down.

“President Donald Trump’s Orlando campaign rally drew 19,792 spectators, according to official turnstile counts released by the city of Orlando on Wednesday, just shy of capacity for the Amway Center.”
Trump Orlando rally attendance was 19,792, city says - Orlando Sentinel

And there were zero Trumpsters outside trying to get in. Only the trash (the kind that doesn’t have two legs) was left behind.

You are the one injecting sexual connotations and panty tinkling. It's you that is melting down. Read your own post that I responded to. I simply pointed out that you are obsessed with hatred of Trump and its blowing up any sense of objectivity that you may try to claim.

I didn't mention anything about sex. You did. And toddlers tinkle in their panties. Toddlers tinkling in their panties conjures up sexual acts to you?

I don't hate Trump. I don't even know him. I can't hate a stranger. If you have passions for the man, you should not project them on others. Love him all day long. I gave up passion for strangers when I was 13 and cancelled my subscription to Tiger Beat because I no longer had a crush on Scott Baio.

When you talk crushes and love over simple support of a politician, you are venturing into the romance or sexual category. If you do not intend it that way, then you should not word it that way. As for toddlers wearing panties, if you are talking maybe potty trained little girls around two years old, you have a point. However little boys typically do not wear them unless their mommies are gender confused. And I am a 65 year old Male. I certainly don't wear them. My suggestion is that you just do what you were claiming to do and simply talk politics. Leave the romance and panty tinkling out of it...that is if you want to be taken seriously.

So a 3rd grade girl having a crush on the boy in the chair in front of her conjures up sexual connotations to you? The more you post, the more I want to take a shower.
