Reparations - that concept has to be put into "perspective".

What I do think is if there is to be reparations - then it could be set up to "go back to the system where "Community Colleges is free" and "State University is returned to the Pre-
Reagan Era Low Cost" !!! (
Reagans policy was designed to limit blacks, poor whites and women from higher education) - I think there should be "universal low cost health care" and I think HUD, should be the financier of Homes that fit into the Median Home Cost Prices and done so, at 3%. I think people who get Section 8 Rental Assistance.. should have that money go toward a down-payment of a "Affordable Hushing" ownership. Invest in 'Home Ownership training to people, low cost skill training for people, and invest in "Civics Education" training for "All of American Society"... as mandatory... to improve the understanding and value of civil and civic society.
Remove all the elements that racism influenced within the Legal System and review the "non violent criminal in prison" and give them usable skill training.
Slavery was an Atrocity beyond any decency of what is Humane and it was a deprivation of "everything" including the dignity and the psychological health of a race of people and it caused and brought and resulted in the death of millions, it left many women with babies where they were disowned by the white men who fathered them, and the damages to the lives of children was devastated to a level of demolishing the hope to dream and build those dreams.
Society would see a mess if people were given "bags of money".. because the financial literacy is something that has never been taught to the general public and certainly not to the black society or the poor white society. We known many would squander that windfall in a very short time, because we have too many people black and white who are caught up in "materialism" and "self measure based on materialism".. It is likely that very little would go into being used for investments that improve individual lives or make positively progressive investments that advance society.
Now, what is an oddity when these things are discussed is the million of poor and dire poor whites, who were themselves misled into supporting segregation and racism and in their support of it, also ensured their own economic disenfranchisement, and many of them are still in this day and time, unaware of how their support resulted to contribute to the 'devaluation of jobs", the "low pay" and ultimate outsourcing of jobs. If people, especially dire poor whites and working poor whites come to learn and realize.. their support of race segregation... is why some jobs are "negatively viewed and under-payed", because they associated those jobs to being considered only as jobs that blacks do... so those jobs suffered from the long history of being Underpaid and Degraded as not respectable"...
The fight for Reparations has to consider these things... because society at this day and time... is suffering from $22 Trillion in debt... which in many ways, demonstrates that the "ill gotten gains" that came from a history of slavery have been squandered by those of white ethnicity who once thrived on the wealth gains from a system of slavery and segregation.
If we want to do something, then "let's go into "every community" and build it up... the long history of tax monies basically being directed to well to do white community, devastated not only black communities, but poor white communities as well... because neither blacks nor poor whites were respected by our system in how tax revenues was invested in society.
When MLK fought for Civil Rights, he Fought FOR EVERYONE, and he made it known that the many of the white people who supported segregation, supported their own levels of ensuring they remained poor, uneducated, and under-educated and many continued from previous generations to the present generations as still being poor whites. Because "when one group tries to deny something to another, it become also denied to them" even as they try and deny that such truth is real.
If we want to do something... then we ensure that "All Children" get the benefits of "free lunch in schools"... the same quality of books and computers in the class rooms.. and we embark on a new method of teaching that meets with the expanded minds of the new generation of children, who's ability to learn and digest information is tenfold what it was decades ago.
