AO-C compares concentration camps in the Holocaust with migrant detention centers

I have a table tennis paddle and it isn't good for playing squash

I have a tennis racket and it sucks for volleyball

and I have a bunch of AR 15s and they are great for several types of competition shooting.

What are Logical gun laws? stuff that targets lawful gun owners are LOGICAL to people who want to harass honest gun owners? I support logical gun laws-such as laws that punish people who use guns to unlawfully harm others. Or laws that prevent people from blasting pigeons on Times Square with a 12G shotgun.

Hydrogen bombs=you lost the argument.

Punishing people for killing with a gun seems a day late and a dollar short.

Why not regulate guns like we regulate cars? They are, after all, just another consumer good, but many people actually have to own and operate a car. A gun is just a personal choice.

what i do not expect the US government to do with those children is place them in concentration camps
more and more republicans posting like they are germans of the 1930s, defending the indefensible

Stop being a hypocrite and open your home to a half a dozen of them or so. Set an example of the liberal morality you put forth. Be the solution. No excuses.

International law is a convenience, accepted and obeyed as befits each nation's policies at a particular moment in time. Treaties are contracts and every contract is written to be broken. There is no moral high ground, only the perception of what is right for a given nation's interests from its own point of view at a particular point in time.

For most of its post WWII history, the US has been generous when granting political asylum, and the key word is political. International treaties and agreements agreed to and signed by those authorized to do so in behalf of the nation, set standards and paradigms defining political asylum, and agreement to grant political asylum. Law is based on precise definition, sometimes purposefully not so precise, intentionally ambiguous to provide parties leeway. Political asylum is just that, based on political threat to an individual and family which is inclusive of death. That threat must be proved to a judicial body of the host nation. It can be denied, even when death for the applicant is imminent, if mitigating factors are themselves heinous. Idi Amin would never have received US political asylum status. Economic deprivation is not within the paradigms of political asylum. Being granted political asylum is a privilege, not an automatic right, and you confuse a plight with an automatic right that doesn't exist.

This is a path to nihilism. It reminds me a bit of Hitler's speech telling the world that no one else wants the Jews, so don't judge us.

You mean I can carry a concealed weapon in every state of the union-in every city

You mean I can buy and own a car that is faster than anything the cops can use

You mean I can buy and possess a car in every state of the union-rather than only buy them in my home state?

That I can own any car I want and as long as I keep it on private property, I don't need any license to use it?

That I Can buy 2-3 cars from the same dealer on the same day and the government does not need to be notified

I suspect if you really understood the laws, you wouldn't want what you claim.

TDS inspired posts have little merit. The fact is, the Democrats are the party of involuntary servitude

Bull****. The fact is all political parties had initial reasons for their origins and it's history that can't be changed. You can live in a fantasyland and believe whatever, but you can't change history.

The historical issue that created the Democrats was expansion of the right to vote for non-land owners. Property isn't defined in the Constitution. There is nothing elitist in supporting the right to vote for someone who is a citizen and only owns the clothing he possesses. Voting rights aren't important to Republicans, because they believe the person will vote against them.

It was the issue of expansion of slavery in the new territories that split the Whigs and started the Republican Party. The original Republican Party died with Lincoln and was immediately corrupted by elites wanting to rape the South for their personal gain. Why enslave Blacks when you can enslave the whole society with economic slavery?

I gather that you recognize that the Trump government is incapable of acting in a moral way, and you are okay with that, and thus suggest that individuals must do the work of resolving our Trump created crises.

Sure, just make sure they are registered, you own insurance on them, that you are a licensed user and have some sort of key to get it going.

Ah the boo hoo capitalism is mean nonsense.

That is stupid because you don't need insurance for cars used on private property nor do they need to be registered.

Why does that make it stupid?

You mean we had a president that put Japanese Americans into concentration camps??? Well, we need to find out who this president was and have his name and likeness ripped from the history books and removed from view. And if his face adorns any of our money it should be removed and replaced with the likeness of Sulu.

I'm going to just ignore your "ripped from the history books" nonsense and ask you why you're defending concentration camps.

I gather you need someone to blame for your own failings. The American government is a government for and by the people, or have you forgotten. Action talks, BS walks.

Trump did not create the economic conditions in Central America, nor the crime rate, nor the political turmoil, nor the death squads who bury students in the jungles and fields. There is no moral high ground for you to wring your hands over, unless you make an effort for changing these horrors. However, you are comfortably ensconced in front of your expensive computer whining into cyberspace. Pass me a latte without the crocodile tears. Don't bother, I'll make my own.

People holding confederate flags didn't vote for Hillary Clinton, dude.

The fact is I bought a used Cadillac once that had an NRA sticker and had a hundred or so dinners with an elite official in the NRA over about 3 years. The issue of where to draw the line on what is an arm did come up and is important. There are ways to make logical gun laws that allow people to use certain firearms for entertainment and still keep them out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them. Originally, gun safety was the focus of the NRA, but now they act as if people should have any kind of arm, so where is the safe way to draw the line? There are places in the US, where it's reckless to be there without being armed. There are also places where it's reckless to have people armed, particularly with assault type weapons. If you don't live in NYC, why care so much what they do to protect their people? Has it ever occurred to you that gun safety isn't a one size fits all issue? Why isn't the people's rights in NYC respected by the Libertarians? If you live there and don't like the laws, move.

When top officials of the NRA can't tell me were to draw the line, it tells me they lost their way and aren't thinking about gun safety. It should be obvious, not having oversize magazines and silencers can save lives. I remember when you could buy dynamite in hardware stores and farmers used it to clear tree stumps. I don't want dynamite in the hands of the people in my country now, because they've demonstrated their inability to use it properly. It's the same with automatic weapons and many other things. Libertarians tend to skip over the government's responsibility to regulate things for the welfare of it's citizens. Their bonehead ideas are always void of consequences, because they don't give a damn.

This is a path to nihilism. It reminds me a bit of Hitler's speech telling the world that no one else wants the Jews, so don't judge us.

And FDR refused entry for ship loads of Jewish refugees. Your hyperbolic comparative isn't worth pigeon droppings.

Would you have approved of granting Radovan Karadžić political asylum in the US?

We did approve political asylum for 16 year old Cica Radovitch whose entire family was murdered by Radovan Karadžić's own hands, and who only escaped because he laid in a hospital bed recovering from an appendectomy. He was on Radovan Karadžić's kill list for being the wrong religion. They were cousins.

All those treaties, all those international agreements define asylum as political asylum, not economic asylum.

"To live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering. There are no facts, only interpretations." - Nietzsche for those who don't understand nihilism, an explanation in just two sentences.

Lawless people break laws and Don "the Mensa" tRump spent his whole life living lawlessly. tRump obviously lacks any political core beliefs and that's why no political ideology fits him. He's in politics for himself.

I don't care if you think our word internationally should mean nothing and if you think this country is full. I really don't give a damn if you and tRump want to embrace dictators and alienate our allies. You're already on your way out, so why should I care? Your legacy will become a faded memory of just how stupid things can get.

AOC is much cuter-but I believe she actually believes the idiotic things she says.

Doubt it. She's learned very early all the lw cliches to spout to get elected.

White males suck .Capitalism sucks. Corporations make money off the backs of the poor. Wealth is theft. The system is rigged against you unless you're white male. Only the Govenrment can help you . Intersectionality. Climate change will kill us unless we act NOW. blah blah blah

Not for nothing, but what the **** ya supposed to do with these people, they came here to be processed into America...this is the process. Calling the process concentration camps is just (yup I’m gonna say it) retarded.

Trivializing the holocaust is what leftist progressives do. They'll call anyone a Nazi, even a jew like Ben Shapiro.

the topic is concentration camps in case you forgot.

No, the topic is that dumb bitch Cortez calling illegal alien detention centers concentration camps. Her comparison proves what a ****ing moron she really is.

Parents didn't abandon their children, the children were removed from parental custody. Can you prove if everyone coming to our border doesn't have a legitimate asylum reason? Doesn't international law we supported matter much to the lawless Republicans, who think having a buffoon as President gets them something besides contempt.

Oh, you bet parents abandon their children. I saw it LIVE on FOX just last month! 2 little girls abandoned. Kids are dropped off at the border for CBP to pick up...if they're lucky. Just last week a little girl died because her mother ABANDONED her to go find water. Why? She paid the cartels to smuggle them across and put her daughter in harm's way.
And prove it? Have you even seen the statistics? 90$% DO NOT QUALIFY.
In fact, at this point, migrants aren't even PRETENDING to claim asylum. They are admitting they're coming for economic reasons. Which is fine, but fgs, come her LEGALLY!
International law? Oh dear God!
The USA is a sovereign nation with borders. The Democrats want you to ignore that, all the millions who died to protect it and our Constitution and laws, but you go ahead and mainline some more Rachel Maddow and Don Lemon.

Only to be outdone by her supporters. AOC knows she can say OUTRAGEOUS lies and the faithful will bend reality to prove she's correct. Yes, there are legions of followers who are willing to forget what happened to Jews just last century in order to tow the party line. Whatever AOC says that line is, they will alter their reality to tow it.
They produce hallucinations to adhere to the "hoax funnel".

I suspect if you really understood the laws, you wouldn't want what you claim.

Someday, a city will require only certain types of transportation within it's limits and someone will be crying because they have to leave their low tech vehicles in a parking lot outside the city. In the past, someone was crying when whale oil wasn't needed like it once was. The Amish shun cars, but high tech horseshoes that destroy asphalt are fine.

Go ahead and carry your concealed weapon in the places you can and maybe someday you'll figure out a fight can easily become a life and death situation, because you have carried a gun into a situation beyond your control. There is no guarantee the person carrying the gun will be the person who uses the gun. If someone has a gun in a school, how hard would it be for a kid to take that gun away from an adult? A baseball bat in ambush would do that and is impossible to defend against it.

Oh, sure, you're so big and bad that nothing like that can ever happen to you, but the problem is there is always someone bigger or things can happen well beyond your capacity to manage it properly. If you don't recognize the danger to yourself with carrying a weapon, concealed or not, then you haven't thought the issue of gun safety thru. It should also be obvious, there are people who aren't mentally stable enough to have a gun.

If you're so paranoid about illegals, keep your damned guns, who cares? I remember a man, a close friend of my family, who thought it was perfectly safe to keep a loaded pistol on his refrigerator to protect his business, because he taught his sons not to touch it. That didn't stop a neighbor kid from blowing one of his sons brains out, because he found it with a chair and thought it was a toy. That man's whole life fell apart, he was divorced, started drinking and when he died young, I often wondered if he stepped in front of that semi truck intentionally. He spent the rest of his life after his son's death in hell.

The pictures I've seen of immigrants don't look threatening to me and even if they did, I wouldn't want guns around me. I have too many young members of my family and I remember how guns fascinated me as a child. Not having guns is my guarantee that someone like my grandson will never find one on my property. I'm not concerned about immigrants.
