Maduro told NBC's Jorge Ramos that America has no right to criticize. He cited the poverty, misery and homelessness of American cities such as New York. He said, "New Yorkers have to eat garbage, too."

I agree. America's inner cities -- run 100% by Democrats -- are rotting cesspools of misery. They are third-world hellholes. Just look at New York, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Francisco, to name a few. All run by Democrats for half a century or more.--Wayne Allyn Root

Sadly, the left has overseen these ****holes for a very long tie and have done nothing to remedy the problem. These very same leftists want to run the country like they run these ****holes, right into the ground.

Leftists aim to take us back to the days of The Regime. High unemployment, record numbers on welfare, and dismal annual growth, massive taxes, and runaway regulations.

So the question is, follow the left with Creepy Uncle Joe, or Comrade BS, or Fauxahontas, or Mayor Pete Buttnugget, or Beta O'Rourke...OR go with one of the best Presidents in American history, MAGA 2020.

You agree with a dictator and use that as a wedge to promote further wealth inequality in America. Well done. :bravo:

Why is the gop so weak and powerless in the cities?

IMO?

Having lived in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, three of the biggest cities in the USA; I've found that the more people you pack together, the more they demand in the way of amenities, utilities, support services, and other services.

They also want them to cost as little as possible beginning with rents. New York City tried rent controls. Seemed a good idea at the time but that was before the population grew and no matter what else, NYC has limited space for people to live and work in. Like most cities, it costs more to build everything, and it is harder to maintain everything under increasing demands. Rent control became a thing of the past. City raised revenues via building fees, annual inspection fees, fines, etc.

Democrats always promise more stuff. Of course this leads to City taxes, on top of the State tax and Federal income tax. Increased property taxes, which are passed on to the renters of housing units.

Next step? Promise even MORE stuff (healthcare recently). How to pay for it? Democrat's always find a way to make someone pay.

And when they are done wrecking a city, they move on like locust, destroying the next place by voting in the same people.

Because that is how cities work and what makes the far more efficient because you can share services and amenities. Public transit makes sense in a city, it does not in a small town, see how that works. In a city you can take advantage of scale to make things more efficient and cheaper. You pay more but you also get far more services, paying less is not necessarily a good thing. I pay far less to live in Montreal than I would in my hometown. Even in cities with a higher cost of living you get more services and most importantly jobs.

How come conservatives completely ignore the vast wastelands run by republicans?

So no Republican run areas suffer from similar issues, there are no poor Republican controlled areas? New Yorkers are not starving to death all over the streets no matter how much you want to believe Maduro.

The above listed ****holes are ALL leftist controlled.

And there are plenty Republican controlled areas, usually rural oneswith high poverty. Or you have entire states like Oklahoma which apparently cannot even afford elementary schooling for their state's kids.
