Well, from the article it appears that only two embassies, Vienna Austria and Santiago Chile may have actually violated the instructions against flying the rainbow flag. Per your own citation, a few other sites did "workarounds."

Two "missions" (not embassies), one in Seoul Korea and one in Chennai India draped rainbow flags from the façade of their buildings. The Embassy in New Delhi India merely hung rainbow lights. No "violations" per se.

The rest of the story talks about Ambassadors or other staff attending parades or events, which was NOT forbidden.

This is hardly “a category one insurrection, per one diplomat." We have hundreds of Embassies and Missions around the world who took no such steps.

In the case of the TWO Ambassadors who may have actually violated instructions? If I were Secretary of State I would recall them and take appropriate disciplinary action (probably Obama appointees anyway).

Note that the story points out this was an Obama policy started in 2011, not something that was "traditional" before Trump nixed it.

IMO more "much ado about nothing," made to make "Orange Man BAD!" seem too evil to run the government.

If it's ok for embassies to fly the gay flag, it's ok for them to fly the Confederate flag. Or, do you want a double standard. No wonder we parted ways with you people.

What the order is: the rainbow flag or any other flag supporting this or that cause cannot be flown on official flag poles. It had nothing to do with denying rainbow flags specifically or that the embassies cannot acknowledge gay pride month in other ways. It is a reasonable order so that the State Dept. doesn't have to deal with umpteen jillion requests from agencies and groups wanting to fly THEIR flags and dealing with lawsuits if anybody should be denied.

Despite how the leftwing hate-Trump-all-the-time media and their dutiful parrots on message boards try to dishonestly characterize this, it is not targeted at gays. The President has been crystal clear in his unwavering support for the LGBT community and has never been homophobic in any regard.

"Crystal clear"? Like any politician he says what he thinks people want to hear at any one time-like the coal jobs he promised which never materialised. Call me a cynic but what do you expect from a 'president' who changes his mind like an ADHD sufferer on speed?

You cited an article about what somebody, no doubt a fanatical leftist, said about then Candidate Trump more than two years ago? Give me a break.

And unless you can find someplace, ANYPLACE, that President Trump has demonstrated any sort of homophobia or animosity toward gays or discriminated against them in any way, all you are doing is maliciously repeating hateful gossip with no basis in truth.

Completely missing the point again, as usual. No one is promoting homosexuality, lesbianism, etc. The flag represents support for a group of people who are routinely assaulted verbally/physically, shunned and discriminated against for no other reason than being who they are.
