OLC determines that Trump's tax returns DO NOT have to be disclosed

Only morons fall for the audit excuse.

Exactly. Like I said before, every business gets audited annually, so all previous years' returns are finished with and available. There is simply no excuse for not providing them. Nothing to hide? Show them and exonerate yourself Trump.

Depends on the lie - if the politician said he/she was considering releasing his/her tax returns and then didn't, I couldn't care less. If the politician lied and said they would balance the budget during their time in office and then didn't, damn right I'd care and if I voted for that politician in the first place, that politician wouldn't get my vote the next time. Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me.

The personal lives/finances of politicians mean absolutely nothing to me except and unless the politician puts him/herself into a position where their influence and political actions benefit their personal lives and/or finances, such as when the current Canadian Prime Minister donated $50 million Canadian taxpayer dollars to the Agha Khan's charity and then accepted a "free" Christmas vacation on the Agha Khan's island for his family and friends.

However, I have no interest in our Prime Minister's tax returns, no interest in his trust fund account, etc. How he uses taxpayer dollars is my only concern. His personal life bores me.

I would like to know who trump donated money too. That's on his tax returns

Well argued!

Trump would have to be insane to release his tax returns so that the congressional vultures could manipulate them for their own political agenda.
I don't look at this as Trump broke a campaign promise as much as I look at it now as the right thing to do. He certainly has the prerogative to change his mind to not release. IOW, his personal business does not belong in the hands of those who wish him harm.

Tell that to the conservatives endlessly screeching for Obama to reveal his 'true' birth certificate, college records etc; many of the retards still think he's a Kenyan, Muslim communist.

You are inventing a statistic, or using one that doesn't apply in the US. Not all US businesses get audited; in fact, it is only a few percent each year.

Fair enough; however we do know that Trump has been audited-for years according to him-so his past returns are available for scrutiny on request from Congress. No excuse for not providing them. 'Because I don't want to' isn't good enough. The longer he ducks the issue, the more suspicion he generates. Nothing to hide? Prove it and exonerate yourself.

While the President can choose to release any return at any time, you are again showing ignorance of the IRS audit process and how long they can take. As for "I don't want to", that will likely be settled by a court

In other words "you like" the president not being transparent about where his real interests are. You like him not having to prove that the U.S. is not his first and foremost priority. You like that he does not have to be accountable for what he does....and lastly, you like him to be secretive where every other president has been open about.

Talk about blind trust in a man that his middle name is "Liar".

None of those things I "like" would be found in a tax return. The ONLY reason people want to see his return is pure voyeurism. They are like stalkers trying to sneak to his bedroom window to see what they can see.

Yeah, Ok, Obama only ever told one lie? Who's pipe are you smoking from? You know better than that so why post something so obviously out of touch with reality.

You can keep your Dr.
You can keep your plan
Benghazi was over an internet video

How about a list of Obama lies
FACT CHECK: Obama's 50 Lies / Obama Not Exactly

Please, give us a break. lol

Every President lies but the reality is that if you put all the lies that all the previous 44 presidents have said it would not add up to even half of the amount of lies that Trump has said. If there is one President that is the champion of lying, it is Trump by knockout in the first round.

Yeah, like birthers, right? Of course Trump wouldn't stoop so low as to send a team of his 'people' to Hawaii to investigate Obama, would he?

He likes to be first. He calls it 'winning'. Most normal people call it fraud.

Oh, so you are saying that all the previous presidents were voyeurs or supported voyeurism?

Why then did every other president show their tax returns? Could it be because they had nothing to hide and wanted to reassure the American public that they were truly dedicated to the job? What does that say about Trump not doing the same? That he has something he does not want anyone to see? Why would that be, if he is what he says he is?

I certainly am interested in your answer to these questions. Support his doing this if you can.

You guys have actually managed to make birthers look like amateurs. Instead of looking at all this Trump/Russia stuff as a politically motivated conspiracy theory and relegating it to the fringes you have decided to take it main stream and are now planning to use it as a basis for impeachment.

All of this is off the rails.

I now doubt Democrats will obtain all that much in tax returns or financial information that will do much other than rally the Democratic base that already thinks poorly of all his business dealings. A strong point is being made on the comparison to birthers.

It's just another lie from Trump. "I will..."

He said he would. He lied. And his supporters don't care.

No. We don't. I could care less how much Trump earns. And, I could care less that he is able to legally pay no federal income taxes due to huge losses in previous years. And, I don't care if an international businessman does business with other countries. That's what an international businessman does. And, I don't care how much he gives to charities.

Meh. It's an opinion that runs counter to the law.

The law doesn't require that Neal give any reason.

Upholding the law isn't something conservatives have ever really been interested in.

Congress is abusing their power in the name of uber partisan politics.

Is this kind of stuff newsworthy anymore? Trump is above the law. Nobody is going to do anything about it.

It's only newsworthy to the left who are in a constant state of TDS.

Trump's lie to keep them confidential. He promised voters, before the election, that his tax return would be released.

He lied. And his supporters don't care.

No they don't. So why do you keep harping about it?
