I didn't ask you anything. You should read the thread. I replied to your anecdote only, and deny your bootstraps narrative as useless drivel, because I myself have an anecdote that runs counter to your narrative. Hence why anecdotes are useless.

I could of course spew out my anecdote; in the vain hopes it appeals to the emotion of a reader, but I won't, because it's just that - an emotional appeal instead of an informed and logical, rational argument.

Wrong. I clearly explained to you why your argument is trash. It's based on an anecdote. Anecdotes are not true arguments, they are malignant appeals to emotional response from an opponent or an onlooker.

Now, if you could, form a rational argument that answers the matter without appealing with anecdotes. Go.
