Trump told aides to deny internal polling showed him trailing Biden

Yeah and there were polls showing Clinton ahead of Trump in Texas, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.

But hey, you've got a creepy 76 year old white guy who will energize the youth and minorities so you can start celebrating early.

Really I never saw any claiming Hillary was leading in Texas, must be someone's imagination working overtime.

Did you forget that trump is a creepy old guy, ROTFLMAO!

Right. Because the Dems have the vote and it's a technicality. That you pretend evidence is the limiting factor is ignorance of a monumental size. It's gotta be intentional. You gotta be pretending there is no evidence with that routine.

You know the Dems can do it anytime they want. You know a lack of evidence is not preventing that. You just pretend to be clueless.

I hope they DO impeach! If they vote to impeach Trump and have no evidence of a crime beyond what we has already come out it will finish the Democrat party for generations.

Nah. He's all in, and has been for a long time.

let's see....Joe Biden 2 time loser for President is gonna be our next President...smells like a Dole/McCain retread that gets tossed on the heap.

retreads like Biden don't fair well especially when you have Berners willing to vote "other" if Biden wins nomination. Berners have more in common with Trump...want tear down Dem party as we know it:lol:

I can buy that he's trying to bury any polling data that doesn't show him in a good light. That being said, 2020 is some time away and Biden hasn't even won the DNC nomination yet. So there's not much faith to put into polls at this point. If the DNC does run Biden...perhaps he wins, perhaps not. I don't see Biden as a really exciting candidate and just mostly more of the same.

Preach. I don't care what polling says now. I don't think running Biden is a good idea.

Indeed.
It makes you wonder why Trump is worked up enough to even notice this early polling.

I don't think they are even close to an impeachment vote. But, will "it will finish the Democrat party for generations", nope!

It certainly won't. It didn't ruin the Republicans when they played the same game against Clinton. It bolstered Clinton's Presidency a little, but it didn't ruin the Republicans for "generations". Wish it had though. Both the Dems and the Reps could use a dose of "ruined for generations". Try to get some other parties in there for some time.

Really?!? I'd like to see that.

Heck, even HuffPo polls showed Trump ahead of Clinton in Texas. HuffPo! 2016 Texas President: Trump vs. Clinton - Polls - HuffPost Pollster

As did RCP ---> RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - Texas: Trump vs. Clinton

As did just about all others... Texas 2016 Presidential Election Polls: Clinton vs. Trump

Seriously. I'd like to see a poll showing Clinton leading the polls in Texas. Any poll. I'll even accept Rassmussen (LOL!) or MSNBC. Anything.

Show me. I really want to see what the heck you are talking about.

Good luck.

That's all great but pretending that evidence is needed is just absurd. It's disconnected from reality. It's an attempt to pretend there is no evidence. It's base and orcish lying.

Wow! Trump trailing Biden in Texas!

In Texas!!

Texas, the reddest state of all!

Now, if only the Democrats don't do something foolish and nominate another loser candidate, we can be finished with Trump once and for all.

Texas caught my eye also. In reality polls this far out mean literally nothing or not much. What I take note of is Trump's job approval in Texas on inauguration day was 54% approval, 34% disapproval. Today it is at 49% approval, 46% disapproval. Still a plus, but a drop of plus 20 to a plus 3. I keep track of my home state, when Trump first took office he was at 53/35 approval/disapproval in Georgia, today 48/47. Florida another big state, Trump has dropped from 56/34 approval/disapproval on inauguration day down to 48/48 tie. Ohio 51/37 down to 46/50. Trump is below water in Ohio.

One last thing, independents at the end of January 2017 gave Trump a 48% favorable vs 41% unfavorable. Today independents look on Trump 40% favorable/51% unfavorable. Question 70A. More important than those overall independent numbers are the ones who look at Trump very favorable 23% vs. very unfavorable 41%. The somewhat favorable/somewhat unfavorable made up the rest in the overall favorable/unfavorable. They're wishy washy and move back and forth. The very's tend to stay where they're at. History has shown usually one doesn't vote for someone they dislike or view Very unfavorable.

Just keep repeating that mantra, think you may be very disappointed.

Why can't you just wait until after the election to express your disappointment, like you did after this election? You know, business as usual... :lamo

I wasn't here, but just guessing. I bet you're one of those people who believed the 2016 polls, many having your precious queen winning by a landslide even after the polls showed the voters thought she was EVEN more untrustworthy and dishonest than Trump! How'd all that work out for you?

Let me remind the peanut choir... Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

It's hard to base a guess about what Trump's negative net approval ratings mean for Trump's chances based because
Trump's disapproval ratings are unprecedented.

538 has a section at the bottom of this page which lets you make historical comparisons of things like 'net approval' and disapproval ratings as well as approval ratings.
How Popular Is Donald Trump? | FiveThirtyEight

As you can see, no other president has kept a negative net approval so consistently.
A few dipped down into the negatives, but Trump has never left the negatives.

the same 538 that got 2016 wrong...correct?

because someone writes it doesn't mean its true....wash rinse repeat
That is a popular, time-honored way of dealing with unfortunate information — just assume it's not true for as long as you can.

folks are lying to pollsters...I do it now...its a game. ....get used to it....polls mean nothing ...see 2016

President Trump is a positive thinker.

Everyone also said that he would lose to Secretary Clinton.

No doubt he told his aides not to discuss that possibility, either.

He realizes that he may lose because of the votes of unauthorized immigrants and felons.

If he does, he will be a gracious loser -- unlike Secretary Clinton.

He will be proud of his efforts in many fields.

On Inauguration Day, he will be the soul of cordiality to President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris.

He will return to his business and make lots of money.

Someday history will remember him as one of the most patriotic presidents that we have ever had.
