Trump the Loyal Servant

Not at all. I just wondered what you knew about David Mamet. IMO, he's a prolific writer, but in most of his plays and movies, I find his characters and their actions to be inexplicable, often downright weird. Just an observation.

Okay.

It's amusing to me when liberals ask what policies of Trump have worked.
Look around, open your eyes. We have the best economy on Earth.
And no, it's not Barry's. It's Trump's. Trump reversed most of Barry's so called "economic policies" in his first few months in office.

Yes, economy is the only big thing Trump is clinging to as an accomplishment. Now, hey, why don't you tell us what specifically Trump did to improve it? I'll give you a hint:

(1) Deregulation - screw environment, screw financial oversight of banks to assume less levearge, screw health oversight, etc - this part of profit boosting will be paid for by higher cancer rates and other health costs, more Great-Recession-like crisis down the road, when dummies will blame the President on whose watch such crisis happens, and in worst case, maybe even by survival of the humans itself, once environment is completely screwed up.

(2) Tax cuts for the corporations - will be paid for by your grand kids, Grandpappy. In the mean time companies repurchased shares with their extra dollars and boosted the stock markets. Awesome.

(3) Trade wars - not yet affecting economy - there has not been enough time. A year from now, when numbers start getting in from there, we can talk about how they affected the economy.

Washington famously rejected as misguided repeated offers from his countrymen of personal loyalty. Obama, to a lesser degree, was offered personal loyalty which he rejected for the same reason. But Trump soaks up offers of personal loyalty to him as his due.

It certainly is not reality with respect to Trump and his base. It is a realistic and necessary principle of democratic government, and to a meaningful extent the servant to the public relationship prevails in our politics. Elected leaders who forget it tend not to get re-elected. Trump is much more an aberration than he is the norm.

Given the lies and deception of Bush & Company in taking this country into a 18 years and counting Global War Of Terror, Trump is merely a sign of the times, a sign of the pathetic situation in this country as he pardons convicted war criminals, and gives medals to unconvicted war criminals.

fake news...only die hard liberals cling to it

You have a very short memory. His Charlottesville comments are the low point of his presidency so far. His words were condemned by multitudes of people from both sides of the aisle. According to Bob Woodward, his own closest advisers begged Trump to apologize and recant his words. Trump refused, saying "Apologizing makes me look weak. I never apologize!"

Whatever "loyalty" Trump has received is based on his actions in support of the goals of those who elected him, just as the disdain for Trump among those of like mind to the OP is generated by his opposition to their goals.

Bull****, Trump demands loyalty to himself or he will punish or fire people who are not. It doesn't matter if Trump is wrong, one cannot call out that without being punished or fired. Loyalty is a requirement, not earned, to work under Trump. If there ever was a president that REQUIRED "Yes men" it would be Trump. Truly dangerous.

That you support his words on Charletteville says much about you.
