With the threat of a tariff, and an increasing one Mexico caved and will help stem the tide of criminal invaders. The pansy Obama would have done nothing.

Isnt it great to have a strong President that puts American first. He is making the country greater almost every passing day.

While I can agree it is a win,not so quick on the huge part. Lets see what this agreement accomplishes before we put up the victory sign.

It’s a sad state of affairs that the US has to use a club to get Mexico to do the right thing, but I suspect Prez Obrador needs that as cover against Mexican invasionists who couldn’t care less about American borders.

There were no provable, measurable deliverables that actually relate to Unauthorized Immigrants to the Southern Border going into the Tariff negotiations and none coming out.

6,000 of the new 60,000 Mexico National Guard being deployed to counter asylum seekers is the most interesting aspect of the negotiation. But the new National Guard does not as yet exist and there is no measurable deliverable even on this. Yet the Tariffs are off. Ah-huh. The Tariffs were a hoax.

However CBP's monthly numbers are not a hoax. Their own numbers show March, April, May yielding the highest numbers of Unauthorized Immigrants at our Southern Border in any given year for as long as they have kept the numbers. But sure as the sun comes up in the East, when the numbers go down THIS YEAR for the months remaining, Trump and Trumpets will claim victory! Another hoax.

The crazy man strategy has limited effectiveness it seems. Will it solve this problem? Well, part of the deal is to continue to focus on the development of these Central American countries.

Donald Trump cuts off aid to Central America - Go home, and don’t come back

We just cut off $500 million in aid, when the migration issue got worse under Obama he doubled our aid.

It seems we are actively working against and for a solution to this problem.

Mexico is a hard nut to crack! But he cracked it. Shame on Mexico. Someone said it was being run by drug cartels!

Is it, really?

I mean, the poorer Mexico is, the more the people will try and get to the US, the more the US will have to spend on the border, the less money they make from trade.

After WW2 the Marshall Plan among other plans helped the US grow massively.

Imagine how much the Mexican govt hates the US, and imagine how much more appealing China is becoming. Want a Chinese base close to the southern Border? Well the Chinese hate the fact that the US has bases in Japan and South Korea. Guess who they learn from!
