Republicans, don't you get tired of being told your party is bigoted, like anti-gay?

which goes to my point that finding solutions is not going to be the result of addressing racism, but will be due to a focus on ending poverty

The problem, for black people, is not poverty. It's disproportional poverty resulting from racism.

with the greatest per capita wealth of any race in the USA, racial issues have nominal impact on the general asian population
i believe that will also happen to the black community, once we focus on mitigating poverty

Black people will not be proportionately represented until racism is gone, and racism can't be gone until black people are proportionately represented in power - globally.

Black nations being second class citizens on the world stage, because of racism, makes black people second class citizens in every country.

Except, it's pride day, and after years of US Embassies flying rainbow flags on that day to show their support, the trump administration has denied our embassies the right to fly it this year - and act that is nothing but a message supporting anti-gay bigotry. So, that's an example that the reputation is not undeserved.

Want to not be part of that? Contact the White House to criticize the change in policy - and then you can post saying you did. Not expecting any Republicans to do so. The cult frown on it.

I don't care. We're going to get called names, no matter what.

As far as the gay flag goes: good! The government shouldn't show favoratism like that, anyway.

When you get time to do some research, you will find, I am sure, that some groups complained to the administration about suspensions being given out mostly to students of two certain ethnicities.

The administration (I believe it happened under the auspices of President Obama's first Attorney General) ordered an end to suspension for defiance. Failure to comply, of course, meant no more federal money. Within a short time, suspensions here in Los Angeles fell to almost nothing. And the school district exclaimed: "See what a great job we are doing! Our students are now so reformed that there are no more suspensions." A gullible public believed this. If you talk with any teacher, you will learn what a disaster this policy has been when it comes to classroom discipline.

Schools are now to use "reparative justice." If a student tells his teacher to go jump in the lake, the school will schedule a meeting between the teacher and the student. They will have a heart-to-heart. The teacher will explain that his feelings were hurt by such words. And the student will explain why she was in a surly mood that day. Then the two will shake hands as equals. Problem solved.

California, not Barack Obama. Show me a link.

To be fair, maybe some people in the administration sincerely feel that NO flag should be flown except the American flag.?

I agree, but would go farther. I'm sure that most people in the administration sincerely feel that gay pride flags should not be flown. I never heard any cons bitch about these flags until the bigot was installed.

...If we start flying the gay flag, then groups X, Y, and Z will want to fly their flags.

Pretty soon, it becomes a farce. A meaningless gesture....

I'd be interested in reading about any X, Y and Z groups demanding their flags be flown, before the bigot was installed. Is there a white pride flag?

...Instead of flying the gay flag at our embassies, any administration (Democratic or Republican) should make it clear that legitimate claims of gay persecution will be seriously considered as a reason for refuge in the United States...

Good luck with that. The list of things Don should do, but never will, is long and takes many pages...

We should fly a Gadsden flag year round.

For the thousandth time, the Democratic and Republican parties have changed. You dishonest Republicans lie that the Democrats of the distant past are the same as Democrats today. The Democrats then - who were almost entirely the south which has always been the capital of bigotry in the US - were wrong.

That's why they became Republicans, who welcomed their bigotry.

If I was a Democrat, I would be pushing that old debunked theory every chance I got as well. Just goes to show how out of touch you really are in this countries history and you are willing to state anything to make your point.
FACT: Out of the 21 Democratic Senators who opposed all of the Civil rights acts int he 60s, Only 1 changed parties. The other 20 Senators stayed Democrat and were replaced by Democrats and those seats didn't go Republican for another 25 years.
FACT: Republicans didn't hold a majority of Southern congressional seats until 1994, 30 years after the Civil Rights Act.

The south didn't vote Republican until the early 90s and that was over Pro life, Pro Gun, and Pro small government issues.

Get an education and stop grasping at fake history to make your points. You will fair much better.

To paraphrase your thread title: Do we get tired of the mindless babbling, and sour grapes whine of the left? Yes, we do but as mature adults with functional intellect we've dealt with childish tantrums, and emotional outbursts for a long time; only difference is usually the misbehaving individually grow out of diapers and learn civil behavior before they are old enough to vote.

There is some truth to your obnoxious post - and my post was right. Given your tone I won't bother to explain the gradual shift of the southern stated to Republican, but it happened and you are simply dishonest to pretend the parties haven't changed. As I said, the south has always been the capital of bigotry by its white citizens. That's the issue.
