DHS concerns about ICE detention centers

Really seems like he's helping them get more customers rather than spoiling their business.

ymmv

You think a wall stopping people from crossing the border is allowing more people to cross the border?

I don't see how.

I was referring to the decision to include asylum seekers with the sneakers.

If there is no difference, where does the costs savings come from?

???

Do you know what we've been talking about?

You advocate keeping asylum seekers separate from the run of the mill illegal alien. That means separate operations and facilities to deal with them.

I advocate keeping them together. That means the same operations and facilities are used for both groups.

That saves money.

This has nothing to do with what the Obama administration did.

You say we have been doing this all along.
If we're doing the same thing, then the costs do not decrease.

Second, some things are worth the money.
If it costs more money to avoid inhumane conditions and inhumane treatment of other human beings, then it's money well spent.

You say we have been doing this all along.

sigh...

As I said, this has nothing to do with what "we have been doing all along". We are talking about what YOU want as opposed to what we are doing now. What YOU want will cost more time, money and resources.

Okay. Now you seem to be expressing an opinion. So tell me, how will separating asylum seekers from the run of the mill illegal alien avoid inhumane conditions or treatment?

Hmm... continued in next post.

Maybe if this administration had a working partner in congress ( democrats) that were actually interested in making progress instead of political points we may be able to get this crisis under control. At this point the left won’t even vote in humanitarian aid for better centers, onsite healthcare and other. Blaming the party that’s trying to fix the situation while sabotaging it at every turn is rather twisted in my view.

All too often people gloss over the extremely ugly situation on our Southern border, the sex trafficking of children, human trafficking that turns people in indebted slaves to the cartels with repaying fee’s to allow them to cross thru there territories. The drug smuggling is beyond comprehension with the amount of opioids, fentanyl and meth that gets thru.

There sure is enough blame to around for our current situation on both sides of the political aisle but it sure as hell doesn’t fall on this administrations shoulders. That said, any politician not honestly working this problem should be ashamed of themselves, they own that shame, as do the voters that elected them and then parrot there excuses.

Longer detention time = more money.

Statistics show it costs more to detain someone in a private detention and we are holding them longer and longer, making people money.

MAGA! Don't tell me Trump cannot do nothing when the Obama administration was actively trying to phase out private centers.

You do understand that private contractors play a huge roll in all things government. We don’t have agencies with armies of workers sitting around waiting to build holding centers for one million plus crossing per year.

What’s amusing from the left on this topic, they whine that the US is forced to use private contractors instead of ICE personal but want ICE abolished, yep that makes sense,

Couldn't have said it better myself. I don't know why people don't get this other than its more important to hate Trump than resolve one of his campaign promises. Really sad this country is more concerned with Political positioning than they are with what they were elected to do.
