What if...? said:
THAT sounds like the trump I have observed for decades. And the Russians? Try to tell me that all the Russians involved with trump for years doesn't raise legitimate suspiscions after Russia helps him with the election. Casinos busted for laundering Russian money. That property he sold for more than it was ever worth right as the market was free falling. To a Russian for cash.

Trump has done business all over the world. After the fall of communism Russia was a new market for industries all over the world. WW3 is not how to deal with Russia. Showing the people of Russia what made this country and Europe so prosperous is the right answer. Unfortunately Putin is currently in charge. Hillary made the mistake of attacking Putin and interfering in his countries elections. Being a vengeful leader he simply paid her back with interest. He schooled her on Obama's watch plain and simple. Putin made fools out of the both of them. Putin could care less about Trump or any other leader. Putin helps no one but himself.

Neither did most of you when they were ramming the patriot act down our throats. That exact same sentiment was used to shrug it off. If you're not doing anything wrong what are you afraid of.

Further, it just came to me that a bunch on the right with wikileaks leaking the truth someone broke the law to steal. The truth being the overriding factor.

Yet those same people are crying foul with a legislative body looking for the truth as well. So its just some truth not all truth.

First off I never approved of losing my rights for the illusion of safety. Wiki leaks was wrong but when our government does it is beyond pathetic. They can look for the truth all they want as long as they don't take away our rights in the process. Our government should be protecting our rights not trying to figure out how to circumvent them. This is beyond sick. This is how a Nazi Germany comes to be when the people are willing to sacrifice their rights for hate and vengeance.

So securing our borders is wrong. Enforcing our immigration laws is wrong. Wanting law abiding people as immigrants instead of lawless criminals is wrong. Well if this your belief I am proud to be wrong.

He has been trying but most of his time is spent protecting himself from a witch hunt making a mockery of our judicial system. The fact that our congress is owned by the rich and powerful nothing he wants done gets done as we have seen.

Oh, so breaking his promises on all the things I listed are because he didn't have time to not do those things... the cult speaks. The part of Congress owned by the rich and powerful harmful interests is far more the Republicans.

Article 1, Section VIII of the Constitution specifically gives Congress the power to levy taxes. The promises he has not kept are because of the do nothing party and the resistance party. All he can do is veto or sign.

Wrong again. His broken promises are things he hasn't done. If they involved legislation, he hasn't put forward the legislation for Congress. Since when does the Executive branch make legislation? All Trump can do is suggest things. It's up to Congress to craft the laws.

No the wall should already have been built and people coming into our country should be paying for it jus like when I cross the Golden Gate or George Washington Bridge. Our border should be secure and people entering our country to work should have background checks done and they should have to show proof they have paid all taxes. I have never seen anything more stupid and pathetic in all my life as this joke we have for border security. These people coming to this country to visit or work should pay for it now us.

Health care has been a pathetic mess that has gotten worse every year for decades now. Another stupid and pathetic mess congress refuses to fix. 1 stitch in my finger cost more today than an entire hip replacement cost me before Obama Care. Plus I am paying twice as much for health care. Maybe getting the government back out of health care may be the beat solution to the nightmare.

I will say Trump bit off more than he can chew with draining the swamp. We wouldn't have any leaders.

Trump has stated that he will keep the preexisting part of Obama Care. That is why there is no new plan yet. People still cannot be refused health care.

They need someone to run on the clear right-wing side third party against trump in the general election: split the Republican vote.

All the Republican run terrified of having 'primary challengers' who beat them from the right. The same should be done to trump in the general - give voters a choice who doesn't have trump's baggage, who will criticize Russia, who many trump voters can feel better voting for - and split the vote.

This won't work in the primaries - trump already has a primary challenger - trump will win the nomination and the challengers will not matter in the general. But someone to split the Republican vote in the general should be a disaster for trump.

It shouldn't be one of the third parties who take votes from both parties, as Nader, Perot, and Anderson did. It should be someone who won't take Democratic votes, but will give Republicans an alternative. It's hard to see how trump would have almost any chance.

As someone who worked for Perot in 1992 and 96, getting a third party or an independent on the ballot in all 50 states is a very time consuming, expensive proposition. Republicans and Democrats have automatic ballot access, everyone else must earn their way onto the ballot. Signatures are required, the amount differs in each state, times frames are all different, it also Republicans and Democrats that verify and challenge any and all signatures. You're talking a 2-3 million spent just to get on the ballot plus lawyer fees.

You must remember it is Republicans and Democrats who write our election laws. They do so as a mutual protection act. If there is one thing both major parties agree on, it's that no viable third party will ever arise. Then there is financial, corporations, wall street firms, lobbyist, special interests, mega money donors give both major parties tens and hundreds of millions of dollars. None to third parties or independents. You can't compete against those odds. That is unless you're a billionaire who doesn't mind spending a half billion dollars.

Look at 2016, Hillary raised and spent 1.191 billion, 646.8 million. Next in line, Johnson who raised and spent 3 million. No way can one compete when being out spent approximately 2 billion to 3 million.

As for 2020, no third party candidate needed. All the Democrats must do is nominate a candidate attractive to independents. Hillary wasn't, she lost the independent vote. The road to the White House is open for the Democrats. As long as they don't nominate someone as disliked by independents as Trump, they're home free. It's now up to the democrats to figure out who that is. Hillary was disliked much more than Trump by independents, Trump wasn't liked, 57% of independents disliked him and didn't want him. But 70% of independents disliked and didn't want Hillary. Thus Trump winning the independent vote and the White House. Questions 10 and 11.
