Just heard that a Federal Judge ordered the Trump accountants to hand over Trump's financial information to the House. The same judge refused to put the order on hold to allow the Trump's lawyers to appeal as the judge says he believed that was little chance of Trump winning an appeal. Wonder if Trump's lawyers are putting in a call to Kavanaugh to try and stop the information from going to the House?

Why would his legal team be calling Kavanaugh?

It is reported the President will be exercising his legal right to appeal, just like any citizen of the United States has a right to do.

An honest president wouldn't try so hard to hide things.

I just posted a thread in 'breaking news' - NON MSM

This is not good news for Trump because this is his own personal financial accounting firm. Whether they comply with Congress or not is unsure, but for a business it's not a good thing for them to be in contempt of Congress and a Federal court order.

i am aware that the justice department has decided that the president is above the law because above the law, but he won't always be president.

It's hilarious.. maybe he can repeal Article 1 of the Constitution

The courts have upheld the power of Congress to subpoena for over 100 years. Trump isn't special.

No stay of appeal means that Mazars can begin turning over documents right now pending a court order to stop them.

One can assume that Mazars probably has Trump's tax records on file, so things are about to get interesting.

This is a huge win for America and it's Constitution. Trump may be able to completely corrupt the Executive branch but, today has shown our Constitution is still functioning as it was intended.

The judge authorized a stay. There will be no appeal.

I don't know the grounds on which he will be appealing.

Do you think the President should not be afforded the rights enumerated in the Constitution?

Yes, he has all rights to due process.

I just think it's hilarious to process hump in defense of someone making a mockery of process.

No appeal? Really? Are you sure about that?
They can try all they want, but the judge didn't grant a stay for Trump's team, because they presented no serious legal arguments.

Thus, Mazars will probably comply right now with the subpoena.

An honest President wouldn't allow a partisan agenda to supersede a citizens rights.

False equivalence.....a swing and a miss.
