Isn't Twitter great?

And your response is why a public salary policy a la Finland is never going to happen here. American sentiment about the holy secrecy over one's salary is so deeply ingrained here that whoever proposes that bill will be tossed out of office by an angry mob one hour after submitting it to floor vote.

But I don't believe it's rational, and I think that the problems that rise up out of one's salary becoming known is specifically because everybody's salaries are secret.

I do acknowledge, however, that if everybody's salaries became public, day one would look a lot like that South Park episode where everybody's online personas were connected with their real life identities.

The person with the anonymous user name doesn’t see why people value privacy...

lol @ people who voted for Trump calling anyone an idiot.

Ah the irony

This is an anonymous forum. I'm not, for example, anonymous on Facebook.

Companies have no reason to hire men. The "same work" is being done by women for less pay. Companies with more female workers are more profitable because they spend less on payroll for the "same work" as male-dominated companies.

Kamala has got me thinking - I'll form a new web search company and hire all female programmers. I'll pay them "80 cents on the dollar", and become more profitable than Google, who through its sexism chooses to pay men more than women for the "same work".

The GOP did enjoy it. They schooled her. Big time.

What this shows is simple: Harris absolutely KNOWS her support comes from ignorant, uninformed people who won't actually do any research to learn this "problem" literally doesn't exist.

She knows zombie-like lemmings will sit there clapping and nodding, shouting "you go girl!"

Can you pint out the "schooling" part of this tweet?

This reminds me of the Jimmy Carr joke:

They say a women’s work is never done. Maybe that’s why they are paid less then men?

No, just most of the users choose to be anonymous

It is by its nature an anonymous forum, just as Facebook is by its nature intended to not be.

Ok, so Harris wants female and minority votes. She's pandering. Nothing new. It has been done time and time again.

What took her so long? I bet those corporations are really nervous now that Harris has vowed to "announce a plan" super duper soon.

Except for the fact that most people on facebook are anonymous in a sense that you cant see anything of theirs unless you are their friend

Nobody can see me IRL* if I keep my doors closed, but I'm still going under my real name just the same.

*Government x-ray spy satellites notwithstanding.

But a random outsider would know nothing about you. Which is the same as being anonymous because without your consent they can learn nothing about you. Thats literally a definition of privacy

The calories you burned in making that false equivalency must have given you rock hard abs.
