Trump pardons ex-Army lieutenant convicted of killing suspected Al Qaeda terrorist in 2009

How so? He made a false statement. That is against the military code of conduct.

He killed the enemy. That doesn't rate a court martial.

Doesn't even make sense ...

It not only makes no sense, it comes straight out of the most hateful, irresponsible, and fanatical indications of TDS by somebody who obviously did not read the article and the compelling reasons for the pardon supported by 37 generals and admirals.

Lt. Behenna didn't murder anyone. He killed a terrorist.

Can you show me proof the guy that got killed was a terrorist?

The US army was releasing him so they must not of thought so or do you think our army is so incompetent they release terrorists?

That is the first honest thing you have ever said here.

Things happen in war. "Killed one too many" as they say.

What you have here is an overzealous prosecutor trying to make an example of a soldier during the fledgling Obama Administration, who was well understood to not be all that supportive of US soldiers efforts to stay alive in area's of conflict. It was felt that Obama had a soft spot for Muslims and since there were no witnesses, only circumstantial evidence was presented to the Courts Martial brass who hoped to get promoted some day. Making waves when the Commander in Chief is watching does not get you promoted. It was his word against a dead terrorist suspected of being complicit in a road side bomb attack that killed US soldiers in his squad.

Justice has finally been served. It only took 12 years and one president with a backbone.

SUSPECTED. Do Americans always kill suspects based on a hunch, without trial?

He was a terrorist. **** him.

So you must agree with what the Saudis did on 9/11?

After all, they undoubtedly believed all those in the twin towers were "suspected terrorists," and according to you, morally that's all you need to justify murdering someone.

Have you ever heard of the American Taliban?

A toast to one more dirty terrorist six feet under.

You're the dirty terrorist - worse, really, cheering murder. Terrorist without a cause.

Yeah, if you have brown or black skin, it's a possibility.

According to Trump and much of his base, here are people you should be terrified of:

What a bunch of brave brave Sir Robins. Terrified of little girls and supporting the murder of unarmed people.

Innocent until proven guilty!

Due process!!

Oh wait, for you? I meant for my side!

You're free to give terrorists comfort and hugs.

We on the other hand will trust and support our brave men and women who are on the front lines fighting these bastards.

The facts of the case were that the prosecution illegally withheld evidence from the defense of self defense that was so strong for the Defendant the government's expert notified the defense after the trial.

Of course, to most Democrats including on this thread, since they believe ALL American soldiers are all murderers, they are outraged at the pardon - even though the person fully served their sentence due to the government hiding evidence from the defense.

Democratic Party = Hating everyone in or whoever was in the US military - absolute, total hatred. They want any soldier who was in combat imprisoned.

He was a SUSPECT. If you were suspected of something unproven would you mind being shot and killed?

I'm pretty sure when you're in a war zone, if you suspect your enemy wants to kill you, you get your ass smoked.

The man killed was a SUSPECT. He was murdered before any guilt or innocence was established. Is that what passes for American military justice?

Again, can you show me proof the guy was in fact a terrorist?

The army was letting the guy go home, that's when the incident happened. You claim to support our brave men and women yet you are contradicting yourself by not supporting their decision to let the guy go.

Right, a guy stripped naked, unarmed in a ditch with a rifle pointing at him. How was he supposed to kill the soldier; by thinking murderous thoughts? SMFH

Sorry if your Code Pink version doesn't get my sympathies.

Suspected terrorist. From reading the article it seems not unusual to have pardoned him, however, tho i’d like to read from another source than Fox.

Is this more fake outrage by you liberals or is this just more pettiness on your part?

How about support our soldiers in what is an extremely difficult job. How about get the F**K out of the way and let them do their jobs you F******G! weasels!
