Republican Congressman Larry Hogan supported Nixon thoughout all of his political life, and campaigned for him. Not only this, he thought of him with affection.

This is him speaking before congress regarding Nixon and watergate during an impeachment hearing, noting that most repubs did not vote with democrats, but he did, and here, he explains why, in very eloquent terms.

I think his speech is poignantly relevant to what is happening today.

This type of conviction and integrity are definitely missing in the current Republican party.

What is an impeachable offense and who gets to decide what is and what isn't? Democrats began calling for Trump's impeachment almost from his fist day in office. Is there any doubt that the democrats have been advocating impeachment almost from day one while their blood hounds have been searching high and low for some sort of evidence of a crime they can claim justifies their partisan call for impeachment? Pelosi is right to try to settle the democrats down before they make themselves look stupid by following tough with a move to impeach on dummass grounds.

An impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.

Constitutionally speaking, it's Congress. Yes, he committed impeachable offenses the first day in office. Now that dems have the house, they are building a case. It has to be vast, evidenced, and overwhelming, because the bootlickers on the right need to be bashed on their proverbial foreheads with a mountain of evidence in order to confront their "see no evil, here no evil" mentality.

Impeachment query, examination of facts, then a vote on whether or not to have an impeachment hearing, and then a trial - due process.

It takes time, and it will be done, because that is where the cookie crumbs are pointing the nation to......

Good thing it still puts them several tiers above the democrats.

man, it must suck to think that everyone that disagrees with you is some kind of sick, amoral, crooked, piece of ****. maybe you should try actually listening to some of the Democrats instead of listening to what Fox News or other conservative commentators have to say about them.

Right. In that case Trump committed an impeachable offense by beating Hillary in 2016 although it did not become an impeachable offense until dummass democrats regained the majority in the House in 2018.

The dummasses calling for impeachment are too stupid to know that shooting the impeachment gun at Trump will likely blow a hole in their own political prospects in the 2020 election.

It's not about politics, it's about holding the president accountable. It's the right thing to do. It's the call of history.

Now, during the months ahead, as the 14 concomitant investigations into his foreign entanglements bear fruit, we shall see if the lava under the existing tectonic plates bubble up to the fore bringing so much heat to republicans they will have no choice but to join in a bipartisan ouster of the president.

It has happened, before. It could happen again, particularly when the evidence against Trump is mountains higher than that which was offered against Nixon.

Fasten your seatbelt....

and pass the popcorn.

Fyi, it's "dumbasses" not "dummasses".

Hah!

Alright, so if I were to listen to the democrats and mind you this is a group that I left back in 2016, because of the shtick they were tossing back them. What do you think I would hear?

Go ahead, tell me something that I haven't been getting force fed by Fox, or other conservative commentators. While not taking into the account that a large amount of the sources I follow are more moderate of both sides of the isle. Because of all things, the democrats have been jutting out further and further to the left. While the republicans have remained more moderate throughout this whole exchange. Even with Bernie, a man that I actually took my last year in the party to volunteer for during his campaign. Taking the same plunge that nearly the entire democratic party has taken.

Hah!

You do realize this is basically the same thing that all of you regressives have been saying about incidents with Trump up to this point, right?

When are you all going to get tired of being wrong?

it's literally impossible to take any of what you say seriously when you say the Republican party has more integrity. there's plenty of bad in the Democratic party, but it's not even remotely on the same level as the Republicans. and the good people on the Dem side, like Bernie Sanders and AOC and Ro Khanna, are easily some of the best people you could ever hope to support given how our political system has been for at leas the last 50 years.

Alright, so lets look at it this way. First we have Bernie Sanders, a man who took the same identity politics plundge during his own presidential campaign and even went so far as to back Hillary. The same candidate who screwed him over so royally and to his own face at that. Not only that, he's made the same baseless claims against Trump, as well as his base. This doesn't even take into account how he tried to lie about the tax policy during that last town hall he did with Fox as well.

The you have miss Cortez. A woman who has made some of the same baseless claims against Trump and his own base. Not to mention someone who has helped to damage her own city with her actions of trying to keep Amazon out of it. This takes into account on how horrible of a mind she has for economics and has berated not only private citizens. But those on her own side, on platforms like twitter and facebook. Claiming that they should fear her and that they are doing nothing. But yelling from the cheap seats.

Ro, like the other two is still riding the whole collusion, obstruction band wagon. Despite all the air being taken from that and with no real chance of them even reviving it at this point. Who's now trying to still push for more support of that stupid oversight committee. Even though it's on things that they've still yet to prove and have already been disproven about Trump to this point.

So tell me. What is it that I was supposed to take seriously in all of this?
Because we can just keep on digging into these three if you like.

I'm sorry, let me just keep denying climate change is real, questioning Obama's birth certificate, and pretending Russia is a better ally than other Americans. You're literally the problem.

Okay, so I've said literally none of those and the fact that you're just pulling all of that up out of context. Is only indicating that you're the one getting desperate.

Climate change is a thing, just not what the left continues to toss around. Obama's birth certificate hasn't been an issue, or even a shadow of one for almost a decade and I don't recall anyone saying that Russia is a better ally than other Americans.

Unless you can cite those instances that is?

And here's Harry Reid, democrat and Senate Majority Leader, celebrating his lie regarding Mitt Romney and taxes..."We won, didn't we?"

Please can the holier than thou clap trap. The above is a classic statement of spreading pure **** to gain power, and I imagine most on the left here endorsed it.

The dummasses calling for impeachment are too stupid to know that shooting the impeachment gun at Trump will likely blow a hole in their own political prospects in the 2020 election.

Which is why they are hesitant to impeach; they aren't stupid. Personally I would wait until he leaves office and then throw the book at the venal ****. Don't forget there are still some twenty or so ongoing investigations into, among other things, money laundering.

If Trump Is Laundering Russian Money, Here’s How It Works | WIRED

Best ask the very stable genius, Trump, about those matters. He knows more than anyone else in the entire history of knowing about stuff.

If inane hyperbole is all you have, then yes. Trump is apparently far more of a stable genius than yourself.

Congressperson Hogan deserves a shoutout for his political integrity, indeed.

Just as some Dems will be able to show their political integrity by voting NO when their DEM colleagues vote to impeach the President.

Actually, it's "dummasses", because we are talking about a mass of dummies.

LOL!!

That inane hyperbole is what Trump spews every time he opens his yap. Blame him.

Presidential debate: Donald Trump'''s great, tremendous, unbelievable penchant for hyperbole — Quartz

So a spun up opinion piece is all you can muster huh. Takes more than a few things out of context and just glosses over what it can't outright prove...

Color me surprised.

Seeing as it just omitted the fact that more than just him stood on the birther issue and didn't even touch on why he was for Obama releasing his birth certificate in the first place. I'm going to take it, that it just mentioned the birther crap. As to just make another thin veiled slight against Trump.

Is this really all you had, or is it all just more of the same re-spun narrative?
