The sad part is everyone that knows anything knew Putin is no friend to any leader of another country. Putin is a very dangerous vindictive leader who will not tolerate someone like Hillary attacking him during his elections. During an uprising over supposed election tampering Hillary tried to get the people to turn it into a full blown civil war. This was not just meddling in their election but an actual attempt to talk the people already taking to the streets into overthrowing the government.

After Putin wrestled back control of the government and undid her tampering I assure he was not looking to make friends with Trump who was not even running yet. Putin had Hillary in his sights and was gathering information he could use to pay her back. With all the corruption in our 2 parties that was an easy task. Well beyond the abilities our FBI but a snap of the fingers for Putin. Hell he probably just bought the information from one of a million people out their hacking for a living.

Trump was a fluke that became the recipient of the presidency thanks to utter chaos in the republican party and Hillary making a deadly enemy of a very dangerous Putin.

Putin schooled her on Obama's watch and that is the fact our government wants to keep out of the news. The last thing our government wants is front page news of how Hillary's failure to take down Putin end up with her being taken down in the greatest upset in our political history. Plus it clearly makes the people of this country look like easily manipulated fools when Putin can destroy both parties and get a side show like Trump elected president. Of course if the republicans had a strong candidate he would have been the recipient instead of Trump. Putin want to and did get even. He is still laughing at us and this side show investigation that will go nowhere as long as we continue to interfere in other countries elections. Like Putin will stop as long as we continue to meddle in other countries elections. Dream on.

So...... .....you think that Putin had no interest in helping Trump. You think his sole interest was hurting Clinton as payback. Interesting.

One problem though: Putin had no effect on the election. At best he caused monkey business taking out ads, but that is no different than what Soviets have done for decades, interfering in the affairs of our country using the tools available.

As interesting as your point is, it does not address the insanity of the Left over this fantasy collusion charge.

I don't think Putin would help any US leader. Plus nobody knew what kind of leader Trump would be. He has never held a political office before. While I think Putin would never help any American leader I know he would go after anyone that attacks him. He is not a turn the other cheek forgive and forget kind of person. Hillary attacked him and he released damaging information at key times during her campaign. He clearly hurt her. The release of the information on how they shafted Bernie was major damage to the heart of the party. I think there is a lot more but we are being misled by our media and the powers that be. They don't want Trump and they don't want it to get out just how easily Putin acquired damaging information and how efficiently he used it. Better to attack Trump and replace him with one of their bought and paid for party puppets. Then it is back to business as usual for the rich and powerful who use our government to line their pockets with money.
