Republicans have a secret weapon for 2020

And what do all those "wonderful" ideas cost? There is never any logical answer to that.

I don't think there's anything more worthy of spending American taxpayer money on things like health care for all, infrastructure, the opioid epidemic, clean air and drinkable water. If we as a country could possibly accomplish all that, maybe less people would have reason to complain about illegals, Muslims and brown skinned people picking vegetables in Iowa.

So you are saying that the South before the Civil Rights act did not traditionally vote Democrat... and that after the civil rights act, the South switched to the GOP?

You can learn much from the woman in this video if you listen from start to finish:

Taxes will increase, but monthly insurance premiums, co payments, deductibles, lifetime caps, and all other out of pocket costs associated with medical care would be eliminated.

It's a reasonable trade-off.

Just remember if you like your Doctor you can keep him/her.

My concern the VA is a federally managed health care program. It has not worked out all that well for our vets. Why should I expect the Feds to be able to manage a larger program?

No, that's the democrat party's not so secret weapon. You know.....the party that founded the KKK?

You mean Democrats are the state’s rights party? I did not know that.

The VA has the highest patient ratings of any healthcare system in the US.

Next Republican myth?

So there was no issue with the VA in Arizona (Phoenix).

So you can't tell the difference between "best-rated system by its patients" and zero complaints.

So that's what you think are "insane ideas" Equality is earned, not given. A strong work ethic has always been rewarded. That's the way to "get your wages raised", not by striking. If you have no skills, evaluate the reasons why. Was it because you sat on your duff and expected a six figure income to be handed over just because you showed up? All the things you listed are attainable, it just that you "progressives" want to take the money from those who did the work, took the risk, and give 'free education', 'free health care' to those who didn't (or worse won't). The only people who are "excluded" are those who aren't willing to take personal responsibility to gain what they need. The people who get jobs do that, those that keep jobs don't.

And I hate to break it to you, there are no ethics in government, both sides are ethically bankrupt.

Your comment reminds me of the old commercial about workers doing more with less at their jobs to help 'the company'. A strong work ethic used to be rewarded. Hourly workers are disposable no matter how hard they work. Keep repeating that same old tired mantra that just isn't true any longer.

End of Year Hospital Star Rating (FY2018) - Quality of Care

large number of 2 and 3 ratings even from the VA own evaluation.

"Overall, 38 hospitals improved their star ratings in 2018, 40 dropped in the ratings and 68 stayed the same as last year."
VA releases 2018 performance ratings for its hospitals - Stripes

and that's still better than non-VA hospitals. hmmm.

U.S. veterans' hospitals often better than nearby alternatives - Reuters

better does NOT mean perfect.

Find a better job. If you have no more skills than work on an assembly line, you deserve no more pay. What have you done to earn more pay? I never saw that commercial, it must have been in the 20's.
