What the Mueller Report gave us yesterday besides a scathing picture of a man totally and completely unfit for the Office of the Presidency was the rest of the sentence Barr and carefully edited and cherry picked out in his four page letter weeks ago. Of course this was part of the Barr campaign to clear Trump and shape the narrative in his favor.

Here is what the final Mueller report reads and there are no redactions from this section:

___________________________________________________________

"The investigation also identified numerous links between the Russian Government and the Trump Campaign. Although the investigation established that the Russian Government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen trough Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian Government in its election interference activities. "

from the Introduction to Volume One
________________________________________________

Barr had previously omitted the first sentence introducing that thought and presented only the last half of the sentence disguised as a complete sentence with its intent to fool us weeks ago and steal a dishonest narrative before the full Mueller Report came out.

I sincerely hope all the Trump defenders realize how Barr misled them and deceived them through his dishonest omissions and edits and cherry picking of phrases.

We know. You folks still maintain the earth is flat.

I predict (drum roll) the public will soon be treated to a round up of the conspirators who got this ball rolling. Nobody will be interested in your worn out and deflated narrative anymore. I look forward to your effort to continue to damage your party's credibility with 2020 approaching. It's just special.

Barr misrepresented the above as

(T)he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian Government in its election interference activities. "

Barr needs to resign

You mean radical right winger Trumpkins who would never oppose Trump in the first place.

The context and meaning of Barr's "cherry picked" Mueller quote did not change in the slightest.

In what way was it misrepresented ?? How did that Mueller quote change ??

This horse has only just begun to run. No matter how you wish it were otherwise. We have only just begun.

Then it becomes a political fight. So now we can talk about the Clinton campaign seeking out anti-Trump dirt from anonymous Russian sources and why the Trump campaign being a target of a Russian intelligence operation was worse. Or why it was worse than the Obama Admin USING such anonymous Russian sources against an American citizen (who BTW, didn't factor in the report) and at a time when they knew Russia was up to mischief.

It's a fight you are going to lose.

One important thing about the Mueller report that I have not seen anyone mention yet is this:

We estimate that roughly 29 million people were served content in their News Feeds directly from their IRA's 80,000 posts over the two years. Posts from these pages were also shared, liked and followed on Facebook, and, as a result three times more people may have been exposed to a story that originated from the Russian operation. Our best estimate is that approximately 126 million may have been served content from a page associated with the IRA at some point during the two-year period of time.

I don't know if you people are aware of the buy percentages associated with advertising but here is a sample:

One of the most effective ways to convert average consumers into loyal customers is word of mouth. People are far more apt to purchase a product or invest in a service when it is recommended by friends, family or coworkers. You trust them, or at least trust them more than advertisements. But the power of good referrals doesn’t minimize the influence of ads -- not by a long stretch. Traditional adverting helps build brand awareness, and can be a factor in many purchase decisions.

Across all stages of a person’s purchase cycle, word of mouth is the primary driver of a purchase decision. It influences 93 percent of consumers, according to a survey by RewardStream, a loyalty platform solutions provider. That’s 9 out of 10 consumers swayed by what others say. Digging deeper, the survey found 51 per cent often, or very often, make purchases based on recommendations. Only 6 percent said they rarely use referrals to guide their decisions.

Age
The age of a consumer also affects the influence of a media outlet, which can help marketers determine where to place their advertising dollars. Television ads have the greatest sway over purchase decisions in all age groups, influencing 40.8 percent of 18-to-34-year-olds, 36.5 percent of 35-to-64-years olds and 32.7 percent of those 65 and up. After that, Internet ads ranked second for consumers 18 to 34, with 7.4 being influenced. Newspaper ads, on the other hand, ranked second for consumers 35 to 64 and those 65 and up, with 12.3 percent and 18.5 percent swayed, respectively.

Social Media
Social media is a hybrid of word of mouth and its influence on purchase behavior is remarkable. A survey by Market Force, a consumer intelligence solutions agency, found that a social media post from a friend or family member influenced 81 percent of consumers. Interestingly, a social media post from a company had similar sway, influencing 78 percent of consumers.

The average conversion rate for Facebook ads across all industries is 9.21%.

Given that:

The Election Came Down to 77,744 Votes in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan

and those were states that were targeted by the Russians, it is safe to say that without the Russian help, Trump would not have won the election. Understand that 29 million people were targeted for Russian Propaganda against Hillary and given the conversion rates of advertising on Facebook (9.21%), it is safe to assume that many more than 77,774 minds were changed (9.21% of 29 million is over 2 million) because of the 2-year anti-Hillary propaganda campaign by the Russians.

Basically nobody thought Trump was going to win-- not even if Trump.
There is no reason to think Putin had some sort of special insight into the election.

Read my post here (#15) for my answer to your post about this being a "load of crap". A load of crap (Trump) is what the Russians helped to place on our table.

Out of curiosity, I wonder how many people were fed content from the

Out of curiosity, please show a link to where the Steele Dossier has been debunked.

I put into Google the following request: Has the Steele Dossier been debunked?

Nothing came up about it being debunked.

What did come up was the following:

With that in mind, we thought it would be worthwhile to look back at the dossier and to assess, to the extent possible, how the substance of Steele’s reporting holds up over time. In this effort, we considered only information in the public domain from trustworthy and official government sources, including documents released by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office in connection with the criminal cases brought against Paul Manafort, the 12 Russian intelligence officers, the Internet Research Agency trolling operation and associated entities, Michael Cohen, Michael Flynn and George Papadopoulos. We also considered the draft statement of offense released by author Jerome Corsi, a memorandum released by House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Ranking Member Adam Schiff related to the Carter Page FISA applications and admissions directly from certain speakers.

These materials buttress some of Steele’s reporting, both specifically and thematically. The dossier holds up well over time, and none of it, to our knowledge, has been disproven.

What did come up was the following:

The Steele dossier makes six major collusion claims;

1) Trump had cooperated with Russian authorities for years.

2) Trump is vulnerable to Russian blackmail on sexual matters.

3) There was a “well-developed conspiracy of cooperation” between Trump and Russia.

4) Trump’s team knew and approved of Russian plans to deliver emails to WikiLeaks, and offered them policy concessions in exchange.

5) Carter Page played a key role in the conspiracy.

6) Michael Cohen played a key role in the conspiracy.

Christopher Steele’s dossier on Trump and Russia, explained - Vox

All of which were debunked by Mueller;

“[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

The Steele dossier was not a report, it was "field notes" on what the word of spy street was saying. Nothing Steele said has been disproved, if anything confirmation is the norm.
The investigation had already begun before the dossier was completed.

(And quote the complete sentence, not just the cherrypicked end.)

"The investigation also identified numerous links between the Russian Government and the Trump Campaign. Although the investigation established that the Russian Government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen trough Russian efforts, ..." No debunking there.

Those six collusion points Vox described were all debunked by the Mueller report.

The entire sentence, that which precedes this quote;

“[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

does nothing to change context or meaning of said quote.

What the report makes abundantly clear is that the Trump campaign and its associates did seek out and accept the assistance of the Russian Government without regard for the criminal activity that help entailed. For example, the promised “dirt” at the Trump Tower meeting with Russian operatives was accepted.

It came in the form of illegaly acquired documents which Don Jr. and Roger Stone coordinated with Wikileaks to release. The only thing that saved Don Jr. from prosecution was his willful ignorance of the origin of those documents. Roger Stone isn’t so lucky. At the end of the day, they didn’t conspire to commit the crimes but they did conspire to benefit from their commission.

The President asked members of his staff to lie to a Justice Dept investigation and to create false documents, unfit to be CIC

I say let the American electorate do the job of Congress and turf this lying POS out of office.
