Schiff gets to the heart of the Mueller report

Ohh....that's why he said, "“Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m ****ed,” Got it.

Exactly. Innocent people don't say things like that.

Trump said "...I'm ****ed", well, that crow has definitely come home to roost

Schiff couldn't get to the heart of an avocado.

All he is good for is looking really stupid while blowing dog whistles for the trained audience.

As the Mueller report proved, there was no collusion, yet the fascist left was launching an effort to destroy his Presidency.

People should be thankful he has accomplished so much for the country despite the treasonous actions of creatures like Schiff.

Yeah..he (Pres.Trump) was pissed and upset that the was being investigated for what was PROVEN TO BE A PACK OF LIES , perpetrated by the SAME PEOPLE WHO LET THE RUSSIAN INTERFERENCE HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE.

How dare he....

He then , DESPITE HIS WELL_DESERVED INDIGNATION, turned over 1,000,000 pages of docs, allowed every staff member etc., to testify, invoked Exec.Pirvilege ZERO TIMES.....

Meanwhile STILL WAITING FOR SCHIFF FOR BRAINS to PRODUCE THE "EVIDENCE OF COLLUSION" he has been LYING ABOUT HAVING FOR TWO+ YEARS

Red:
POTUSes "who went through investigations like this" -- presumably an FBI investigation[SUP]1[/SUP] into the POTUS himself -- number, at best, two: Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton.

In light of the above, I find the notion that a POTUS cannot conduct the business of governing while also defending against a criminal investigation is pure poppycock. All the POTUS needs to do is actually devote his days to working -- actually reading and consuming detailed briefings and becoming excellently well-informed on public policy matters -- rather than sleeping late, watching television, focusing on miscellaneous matters that are beneath the office of the POTUS and tweeting all day long (because one learns not when one does the talking), and jaunting away on the weekends to play golf with entertainment celebrities.

Note:
  1. Amid the Watergate investigation, Nixon also underwent an IRS investigation that resulted in his having to pay over $450K (~$2.3M in today's dollars) in back taxes and penalties. (See also: "JCT Investigation of Nixon’s Tax Returns")

Great post! I copied those links for research and future reference, thanks!

Something Kobie was well aware of. Which was why he neglected to say such a thing in the first places.

Yup. Clinton did have sex with that woman.

1. Clinton wasn’t gigged for lying to Congress, it was a grand jury.

2. Trump won’t do anything under oath because his handlers know damn well he’s a complusive liar who can’t help but self-incriminate.

That you support this sleazebag speaks volumes.

Mueller should have forced him to testify under oath. He should have done the same with Junior and Kushner.

Trump was obsessed with the investigation. It was purely his choice to focus on tweeting about the investigation almost every day, or saying "no collusion" whenever he could. He could have simply done his job and ignored the investigation, Mueller was very quiet and tight lipped.

But we saw days filled with "executive time" instead, where Grandpa Ranty spent his hours glued to cable television and tweeting out quotes from Fox & Friends.

Trump could not have "done his job" because he is incompetent and doesn't know how to do that job.

Schiff's absolutely right. When the wingnuts are using the "you can't use the letter of the law to disparage our guy," they're ignoring a bunch of years of historical precedent regarding how a president should conduct himself.

Bill Clinton was impeached, unsuccessfully, for FAR LESS than Trump has been implicated for.

The right wing is ethically bankrupt. **** these sycophantic douchebags.

Hell I think Johnson was impeached for far less at this point...

Johnson, the 17th president of the United States, was accused of violating the Tenure of Office Act, among other crimes. The 1867 law required Senate approval before a president could remove any member of his cabinet who had been confirmed by the upper chamber of Congress.

The House voted to impeach Johnson on February 24, 1868, three days after he dumped his secretary of war, a radical Republican named Edwin M. Stanton. Johnson's move followed repeated clashes with the Republican Congress over how to treat the South during the reconstruction process. The radical Republicans viewed Johnson as being too sympathetic to former slaveholders; they were outraged that he vetoed their legislation protecting the rights of freed slaves.

Impeached Presidents of the United States

Clinton was impeached for lying about a BJ.

And although Nixon resigned, had he been impeached, he would have been impeached for obstruction of justice, and abuse of power. And I think Trump has passed Nixon even, in attempts to obstruct and the severity of the some of those attempts. Heck, and that's just the obstruction that was found out.

It's times like this I wish the people had the power to do a vote of no confidence and bypass the government altogether.

The Report is clear that the Russians attacked our election to help Trump get elected.

The Report is clear that the Trump campaign knew that

The Report is clear that Manafort (Trump Campaign Manager) shared internal RNC polling data with a Russian agent and even discussed the particular states that ended up winning the election for Trump

That's astounding...

And Trumpers keep talking about indictments. Well the fact is that "colluding" in that manner is not illegal. But it is collusion

And Trumpers keep saying "Well Impeach him" knowing full well that GOP Senators would put party over country and protect Trump just as Barr has

*The Report is clear that Manafort (Trump Campaign Manager) shared internal RNC polling data with a Russian agent*

"Mueller said his office “did not identify evidence of a connection” between that act and “Russian interference in the election,” nor did he “establish that Manafort otherwise coordinated with the Russian government on its election-inteference efforts”

Robert Mueller Obliterated Trump-Russia Conspiracy Theories

You still can't make a point without shouting, can you? That's a serious weakness, Grok.

I find it amusing that you have debunked the notion that a president cannot conduct presidential duties while under investigation and you provide a substantial quantity of supporting evidence and the best the Trumpsters can come up with is "leftists need to grow up."

LOL, except there was actual EVIDENCE Clinton lied to Congress and attempted to obstruct justice. That little factor is missing in Trump's case.

Clinton was investigated for whitewater and since there was nothing there to impeach him with they ended up impeaching him for lying about a blowjob. Big difference.

Ken Starr, having nothing to pin on Clinton with Whitewater, decided to simply embarrass POTUS by asking about the Lewinsky affair. Why else would Starr ask about something that was not a crime? The stunning fact that Clinton chose to lie about it under oath was a gift of immense proportions.

Clinton was impeached for lying about something that was embarrassing, not criminal.

That is why it is imperative that Trump never, ever be put under oath.

well yea, THAT sentence makes his worries clear.

Still to afraid to dare to address the pints I make, but are reduced to being the "FONT POLICE".

I don't blame you; much SAFER for you, to avoid the public pimp-slapping that would lead to.

That is a serious weakness, Idio'.

"POSTING POLICE" is a **** job...but good that you recognize your limitations.

Clinton lied to congress. Makes no difference what the lie was about.....it was a LIE.

The only reason trump hasn't lied to congress is because he won't talk to them. His henchmen though lied and got caught but folks like you don't seem to care cause trump is a republican. Sad. Trump has told americans over a thousand lies, documented. The right really shouldn't claim they are righteous folks in favor of the rule of law.

Folks like me? Lets be honest here, you do NOT know me, anymore than I know you. Stop with the assumptions.
