He is calling for the raising of taxes on himself, he is not exempt from that tax. The actual selfish greedy bastards are the ones that are scared Bernie will raise their taxes.

Amazon pays millions, if not billions in taxes and that doesn't even include all the taxes their employees pay that wouldn't be paid if Amazon were not there, not to mention all of the taxes other businesses pay due to the business generated through Amazon employees buying things. Even liberal New York understands this when they lost all of the revenue that would have been generated from their HQ2 that fell through.

Because if a million people each have their taxes raised by a dollar, you get a million dollars. If one person chips in an extra dollar, all you get is a dollar.

This is also a relatively straightforward concept for anyone who isn't actively resisting comprehension.

But I bet you take the kid deduction, the mortgage deduction, every other deduction that your accountant says you are entitled to and a couple you think you probably can get by with.

I don't fault you for that. So do I. Bernie can certainly advocate for a different system as long as he pays what he is legally obligated to pay.

Yep. When Sanders basically answered with why don't you write a check, you make more than me, is a typical politician misdirection. Now, if Sanders had shown cancelled checks of his additional contribution to the Treasury bringing his federal tax to the 52% level, that would have shut up a lot of critics. Of course it didn/t / won't happen. No way in the near future will such a tax rate get past the House or Senate.

(Not a fan of Trump. I hope we see a good challenger come forward for the Republicans. Not so much Trump's policies as it is the way he presents himself. Quitting twitter would go a long way. )

I'm 50, and I did serve in a peacekeeping role in the early 90's in the Balkans. Remember that war? Muslims were being systematically exterminated, and the UN and NATO stepped in a stopped it. But whatever works for ya, I suppose.

here's an idea, pass the tax reform Sanders is advocating for and see if he complies with it. If he doesn't you have every right to object. When he does comply, you will be reduced to some other hare-brained attack like he flies on planes and owns property.

There is no mechanism to send the government money you don't owe, they will return it. He will pay more taxes if his proposal is approved. Why haven't you sent the government money for the wall, hypocrite? You just want to spend everyone else's money like a damn taker.

Perfect example, thank you. Amazon was playing cities against each other trying to get a lower and lower tax break. Why should cities give massive windfalls to Amazon that smaller businesses don't get? Why should mom and Pop pay a higher percentage than Amazon?
