[W:324]He May be Gay, Buttigieg...

Re: He May be Gay, Buttigieg...

So just a feeling you have then. You feel that it was Yahweh and not Allah, some other god, or pure luck. Sounds super convincing and objective.

It's a belief in and devotion to my Creator. Surely as strong as your belief in your chosen ideology.

Why do you keep harping on Allah? Are you Islamic?

Sounds more like the spreading of white Christian hate than anything else, if you ask me.

I like using it because it makes Christians uncomfortable. The fact is you have absolutely no idea which of the hundreds of gods mankind claims to know about are your creator. You just talk to him and hope you're right. You don't get any feedback from him to go on so you just say "the selection out of hundreds that I arbitrarily made must be right! Ah, faith!"

All you're basically doing is overlaying "god" on top of your own personal opinions in order to make you feel like you're inline with divine will, when in reality it's just what you wanted to do and believe anyway. You want to criticize and restrict the rights of gays, so you convince yourself it's god's will.

Your effort was wasted. The topic of this thread was about his Gayness. Obviously the OP wanted a debate on that subject. Obviously you know nothing about faith.

Faith - everyone from every religion believing they're the ones that have it right with no way to show that any one of them are any more right than the other.

And you're the one who brought Jesus into this by telling me I'm going to need your particular brand of religion someday when my family falls on hard times.

We know you believe what you want to believe and have a hard time understanding why the rest of us think you are all wet. Let's put it this way. How you think about someone worshiping a cow with two heads is about how we feel about people who worship sky daddy and his earth-boi Jesus.

So, obviously we know a hell of a lot more about "faith" than you seem to.

Re: He May be Gay, Buttigieg...

I like Joe! He turns 77 on November 20th. IMO, he missed his Best Shot by not running in 2016. Any DEM that emerges as the 2020 General Election candidate wins CA and NY. We need one who can win FL along with PA, WI and MI. I don't think Joe can win Florida. Chump won Florida in 2016 by about 120K votes out of about 10mil cast. Chump won in 58 out of 67 Florida counties. Chump has Florida Gov. DeSantis and Senators Rick Scott and Marco Rubio in his corner.

I would hope both Bernie and Biden, announced they will run for only one term, if elected, due to their age.

Re: He May be Gay, Buttigieg...

I choose Biden...

...On the other hand, a percentage of voters who would have voted for Berrnie voted for Trump.

I"m quite certain that if Bernie ran, he would get most of those back, and that might do the trick.

I would, however, like to see some polls, as we near the election.

However, I invite your rebuttal as to why you think Buttigeig would do better than Biden.

Sanders and Don have such an opposite ideas of how to govern, I can't believe many Sanders supporters voted for Don. I think many of his hardcore voters would stay home or vote for some other third party candidate. I believe Biden would attract more moderates, who I think outnumber Sanders supporters. Also his age is a major factor that would make re-election unlikely. Like you say, we need to see polling just before the election.

While Buttigieg being gay is another kind of hurtle to overcome, every time I hear him give a speech, I'm more impressed. His youth, intelligence and his speaking ability are big pluses. Time will tell...

I said there would come a time in your life where you would need some divine intervention. I stand by that for everyone. It's not a bad thing.

The rest of you? The other 3 or 4 people on this thread to whom I've replied?

Heretics are nothing new. I've been on both sides of this fence in my life but, I've never forsaken the Lord and he'll never forsake me.

It's not a wise thing to do.
