Why not let Mueller prepare the report?

The problem is "assisting" can mean many things. I ask Mueller to tell me what should be redacted. Then I can make additional redactions Mueller never suggested. Now I can say Mueller assisted me in redacting the report.

Let's say the O.J. trial was not publically viewed. A report of the prosecution and trial was created.

The summary would read, "There was not enough evidence to convict O.J. of murder."

Is that enough for you? Would that summarize the case adequately?

If Barr asks Meuller for his advice on redactions why would Mueller refuse?

If Barr wanted to really show the redactions were purely based on the law, he would allow Mueller to do the redactions instead of "assisting."

You're the one behaving like a mindless dupe when you do your victory dance based solely on a summary by a Trump appointee and then mindlessly believe that Mueller "assisting" means anything.

Conservatives are supposed to be very critical of government. They're not supposed to trust government. But you mindlessly trust Trump regardless of how many times he has lied to you.

It does not matter how much Mueller assists Barr in the release if it is Barr that sets the standards for redacted material. I have seen NOTHING that indicates Mueller will be making decisions regarding standards for redactions. All I have seen is Barr continuing to add categories of material that he wants to be redacted.

So NO....Mueller is not personally preparing report release.

There is no hypocrisy here. He was a member of Congress with access to the unredacted Starr report. He was arguing that it would need to be redacted before it was to be released to the public. No reason not to apply the same stipulations to the Mueller report today. Release it unredacted to Congress. Then allow Congressional input over what is redacted before it is released to the public.

How so? Nadler wants the Mueller investigation held to exactly the same standard that, according to your video, he argued the Starr investigation be held to. Unredacted to Congress, redacted to the public. Where is the hypocrisy?
