Explain why all charges were dropped against Jussie Smollett? That bitch filed a false police report, lied on national TV, tried to incite a race war, wasted the police’s time & tax payer money. I’m sick & tired of these fake hate crime claims. **** Jussie Smollett.

My guess is that either someone on EMPIRE called in a favor, or the Chicago city gov just didn't want to bother with the expense of a trial for such a punk-ass.

A year from now, Leftists will be claiming that Jussie was an innocent man railroaded by The Man. Sort of like ignorant people today claim that Michael Brown was murdered.

I'd guess the two guys that were in it with Jussie have been paid to change their story.

Simpler for the network to squash this than deal with it.

I was outraged when this story broke this morning. I wonder how much money was passed under the table ?
And you have to wonder why so many folks are justifiably homophobic.

Actually, I think they timed the news that Smollette wasn't going to be charged so that the Mueller report would draw attention from them, not the other way around.

This wasn't to score political points. Don't get me wrong, that is typically the reason for faked hate crimes. But in this case it looks like it was about leveraging increased name recognition for a higher salary. I don't know if that makes it worse, better or the same, though.

Much as punching someone isn't a crime if it only happened because you walked around with your arms swinging and they didn't get out of the way, paying someone to beat you up isn't a crime if you just happen to be signing checks made out to them and then accidentally fail to avoid their swinging arms.

PS: I believe there actually is a statement out there about why they were dropped. I saw it in yet another thread that failed to announce "100% exoneration." I'd recommend starting with some basic google search like: charges dropped Smollett statement why

Their algorithms make non-boolean searches pretty effective these days, particularly for basic stuff
