Trump fires Sessions because Sessions recused himself. He brings in Barr who gets the report and gives us a "summary."

Is the summary spin? What's in the report? Will we ever see the actual report?

Trump says he wants the full report released. But he said the same thing about his tax returns.

Will we ever see the report or was this Trump's plan to bury the report?

I hope we'll see it. I don't expect the entire report because I understand some of it has to be redacted, but I do expect one.

I don't mind redactions if the House intelligence committee is allowed to see the unredacted document.

But given how happy Trump is about the summary, releasing the actual report with possibly ugly details won't help Trump. I doubt we'll see it. I hope I'm wrong.

Barr said specifically that he intends to make it public. There are things that by law he cannot reveal, and it will take a little time to review it for that.

So the parts that we won't be able to see are those that relate to criminal proceedings that are ongoing?

If they decide to give it to the House intelligence committee then they should just give a copy to the Washington Post at the same time.

Doesn't the House Intelligence Committee deal with Top Secret stuff all the time?
 
And then brings in McConnell to block votes on it. Come on, if they have nothing to hide they can show it. It'll come out anyway - they can subpoena Mueller and his whole team, and the damn targets and witnesses.

My guess is they're hanging on because they know the power of repetition. They know what a news cycle is. They know that especially on Fox a lie will travel round the world before the truth has its boots on. All they have to do is make sure their version of the story gets ingrained in the public consciousness of their supporters so when the real story comes out, it can be dismissed as 'fake news'.

They're delaying the inevitable in the hope it lessens the impact.

All that we have seen so far in the Barr letter is intended to be prejudicial.

hard to say until we actually see the whole thing, or at least everything that isn't classified. seeing what isn't released will be interesting, too.

maybe, and maybe not. however, if they try to cover up a lot of it, that might say something. also, if there was never anything there, then why was everyone lying their asses off? it's just odd.

The whole thing reeks to high heaven. We need to read that Mueller report and need it ASAP.
