Weld hammers Trump over McCain attacks: You're a 'national embarrassment'

Trump is entitled to dislike McCain. I don't like McCain either.

The faux outrage coming from the anti-Trump camp is to be expected.

No, the very real outrage is over tRump's complete lack of class, respect and dignity. To vilify the deceased who cannot defend themselves is about as low and cowardly as it gets, and tRump is cowardly, lowlife scum and a stain on America and the world. President Skidmark has made both himself and America a global laughing-stock where once it was viewed with respect and admiration.
All of what he says about McCain is classic projection; all of tRump's inadequacies and dismal personality failures are projected onto someone who deserves them the least. What a disgusting display from a man who never did an honest day's work in his life. America should be ashamed and embarrassed to be represented by an appalling **** like tRump. He deserves every deprecation that is levelled at him.

Trump is correct to point out the despicable things McCain did to him and his associates. Being dead doesn't give McCain a pass.

I'm sure this list is as long as Trump's attention span, amirite?

To what end....as cannon fodder to feed Trump's endless string of victimization narratives? Trump simply knows no bottom. I guess he has run through so much of his victimization narrative playbook that he is down to digging them out of the graveyard. Hope that visual image sticks with all us for awhile.

Yes, and he displays classic bullying behaviour; attacking those least able to defend themselves, the lowlife and cowardly POS that he is. What beggars belief is that his fanboys actually applaud him for it.

No.

To set the record straight. To make sure the memory of McCain correctly reflects his actions.

McCain cannot be held accountable for his actions since he's dead, but it's a good thing that people are aware of his actions.

Horse bleep. Trump said, "McCain voted down repeal and replace". Repeal and replace was not even on the floor for a vote. Skinny repeal was the bill on the floor for a vote. So there goes your "set the record straight" narrative.

Skinny repeal would have set the stage for moving on with the total repeal and replace. McCain torpedoed the whole shebang.

McCain knew what he was doing...he did it deliberately...and he lied to the people in his state so he could do it.

That is McCain's record.

I'm sure that a gazillion people are aware that this battle against McCain's corpse is just a continuation of Trump's hatred of the man starting with his "I prefer war heroes who didn't get captured" drive-by.

Trump started everything off by attacking the guy's military service from the get go.
There's very little a man like Trump could do to become even more of a coward than he is now at this point, and I suspect he's not aware of what he's doing to his reputation.

Keep it up, Dennis Davison, keep it up! :lamo

Well said!

Sorry...go see what DonDon said. That is not setting the record straight. McCain was not voting on a repeal and replace bill. You can obfuscate all you want to...that is all you are doing. I won't even deal with whether or not the GOP had any plan to replace at a later date. It is totally irrelevant to this discussion one way or the other.

I am a lefty. Nothing in common with McCain. One can dislike McCain's politics without dishonoring his service, without spitting on his grave. Trump did both. He is a low life, an embarrassment.

Plenty of times I wanted to yell at McCain because of things he voted for, things he supported.
But when it came to his service in the military, I drew the line. The man spent years in captivity, a prisoner of war.
And yet it was his fellow Republicans who came up with this whole fallacious John "Songbird" McCain business.

yawn...

Deny reality. It'll make you feel better and help you to justify your idiotic outrage at Trump.

Moving on...

Project much? If you continue like this you should be relegated to a fantasy forum. Trump said what he said. It clearly was no effort to set any record straight. In fact, It was a flat out lie.

Frankly, I continue to contend that Trump simply was digging in the graveyard for more fodder for his endless victimization narratives. Hopefully that is seared into the memory banks of people that actually still know how to think. So keep it up. I will keep posting the above in response until it is seared into the memory banks of every poster on this forum. That should help your boy immensely.

Trump is and in some ways we are an embarrassment. Compare Trump's performances as Chief Executive to the way the PM of NZ has handled the tragedy in her country. Compare how swiftly they are handling gun legislation there to a country that can't tell a 18th century musket from an AR-15. We are bending and twisting ourselves into a pretzel mainly because as a country still in the main controlled by old white men, we just don't like the consequences of this Constitutional Republic. "We" sort of liked it for awhile. We (old white men) barely tolerate it any longer....only still liking the parts we can bend and twist to our use.
Rounding up guns as a response to a mass shooting is the equivalent of rounding up and caging those of Japanese descent following Pearl Harbor.

As usual, no actual argument, just pathetic deflection. This is really terrible trolling, you should up your game comrade or Putin may send you to the Gulag

How did he spit on the presidency? And “totally discredited” dossier? Check your facts. As we used to say in evaluating sports figures, Trump couldn’t hold McCain’s jock.

These people are trolls, there really is no point in responding. they will continue to troll and spew idiocy non stop and never provide a single shred of an actual argument.

Trump has not only spit on the presidency, he peed, **** and anally raped the presidency

I actually don't think they plan on "rounding up guns". So far, gun owners are bringing them in to authorities voluntarily and with nothing on the books requiring them to do so.

Why do you attack Trump supporters? We never attacked Obama supporters. We loved to attack him -- I'll fess up. But we didn't go after his voters personally. Name calling. ANTIFA (WTF?????), Idiot Waters calling for the harassment of Trump's cabinet?

Why are y'all so nasty?

Who is this "we" you speak for?

This is not "faux" outrage. Trump has crossed yet another line of decency here. We should all expect better from our leaders.

Trump has no sense of decency or empathy, why should we expect anything more from his base?

Trump, and many of his followers (including some here) don’t understand that publicly disagreeing with a deceased political foe can be done in a civil/non personal way. They only understand gutter behavior.

You and Trump are wrong.

Howso?

Which Trump supporters on this board have defended in the past......

I don't know much about him, but if he is an idiot that makes him about a thousand times more qualified than trump...

Apparently Weld is an idiot for switching party affiliations again, according to trumposters. How many times has their idiot trump switched party affiliations?

This daily, dysfunctional circle ⭕️ will remain unbroken. Watch TV; tweet about it to control the media narrative; get pushback except from Spineless GOPoliticians; further divide the Nation; rinse and repeat.
