US Just Became Much Less Free

Hold immigrants without bond; incarcerate their children...what's next; ovens?

FOLOWING THE LAW...as opposed to:

Allowing convicted felon illegals back onto our streets, handing children over to un-vetted adults "claiming to be their parents"...who turned out to be CHILD PREDATORS.

What's next..."sanctuary cities" to protect illegal felons?

Bull****. CRIMINAL ILLEGALS just became MUCH LESS PROTECTED BY THE LEFT.

East fix: DON'T ENTER OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY AT ALL, ESPECIALLY IS YOU'RE A CRIMINAL BESIDES THAT.

See the LEFT CHOOSING CRIMINALS OVER LAW-ABIDING AMERICANS...AGAIN.

I think the truth lies somewhere between the op's "US Just Became Much Less Free" and your bull**** cry.

Hmm...indefinite detention, with no right to bail or bond.

so much for that

Not entirely, technically this ruling just confirms existing understanding and does not create any new capabilities for ICE.

Woah down there Grok. You're getting way too excited again.

Americans just lost more freedom. Don't sweat it, you weren't near the top of the list of free societies anyways. According to the Conservative/Libertarian Cato Institute, anyways (Although I will admit that to you, these guys are probably Marxists)

Cato Institute Freedom Index

The jurisdictions that took the top 10 places, in order, were New Zealand, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and Denmark (tied in 6th place), Ireland and the United Kingdom (tied in 8th place), and Finland, Norway, and Taiwan (tied in 10th place).

I live in Canada, we were 6th. Not bad. :)

The conservatives on the court no longer care about our constitution. They have been put there to enforce the GOP agenda and that includes Trump's agenda. The constituion means nothing to them. What counts is keeping the GOP in control. I would not be surprised if they outlawed the Dems from running for office in the first place and make Trump or some other GOper president for life. This is what you get when you put political operatives on our court. Now many Americans will no longer look to the court for impartial decisions.

The court is upholding a law signed by Bill Clinton and you are whining about conservatives and Trump.

I think you might have lost perspective

Sure thing... first sentence:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have the power to arrest people who aren’t US citizens and detain them for months or years, based on past convictions

You must realize that not every person in the U.S. who is not a U.S. citizen is an illegal immigrant? In fact, the vast majority of non-U.S. citizens in the U.S. are NOT illegal immigrants.

Man...its almost like the US laws and Constitution apply to US citizens and illegal immigrants are supposed to be held until they can be deported or something.

lol...so you do not know the difference between legal and illegal immigrants. That does explain much.

It's not about "illegal" immigrants. Try to read the op before making silly posts in a thread.

The Constitution is reserved "for ourselves and our Progeny"...not NON--CITIZEN CRIMINALS.

Try again.
Wrong again, Grok. Everyone in the United States is covered by the Bill of Rights.

I did not say that non-US citizens were illegal.

Explain how what I said was wrong... it is a direct quote from your article.

Man...its almost like the US laws and Constitution apply to US citizens and illegal immigrants are supposed to be held until they can be deported or something.

Exactly... it is also like people want non-US citizens to have more rights in America than actual US citizens...

Wrong again, Grok. Everyone in the United States is covered by the Bill of Rights.

Not felons... not people in Court... there are a number of situations where people are denied their rights...

As applies to the current conversation, my statement is correct.

Illegal immigrants charged with crimes (aside from civil immigration matters) are covered by the Bill of Rights.

There are times that even then they are denied basic rights... like freedom of speech.
