How many of the these 12 traits of malignant narcissism does Trump have?

I don't care that Trump is narcissistic. I only care that he pursues policies I think are beneficial to our country. That's my yardstick for evaluating him, or any other person in that office. Would I prefer him to be more well mannered, more polished, stay off Twitter, not make snide comments and the like? Of course but that is not what's important. When he starts doing stuff I oppose, then I'll oppose him.

Does Trump look obese to you, as the term is commonly understood, or do you simply want to apply a technical term because it makes you feel good to say it about him?

Or just look at old interviews from 20 or 30 years ago. He was charming, lucid, intelligent sounding - at least he was able to effect a decent con. He still came across as a conceited dick but even that worked as part of his NY tough-guy image.

Compare that to the ramble hate-filled paranoia he displays now: completely different person. Definitely losing his marbles. If dementia strips him of control over his malignant narcissism, then he becomes dangerous.

Dunno what Geoist thinks but Trump looks like one fat b****rd to me. Not just chubby, not merely overweight, but fat, fat, fat. Now where the doctors draw the line at obese is up to them but I don't believe for a second he's in fine physical or mental health.

Hell most people slim down a bit after middle age, as they approach seventy, especially those who weren't fat in their youth. Trump is a freaking slob.

Trump does his Fox stuff. Obama was no more full of himself than any other President. Libs hate when Fox likes Trump, and Cons hate when the other half of viewership likes a Dem.

I think a lot of it has to do with it being a different environment now than he was in 20-30 years ago. The spotlight is on him more, which in general he loves, but a lot of the attention is negative which results in him lashing out. I don't really know if he's suffering from dementia. To me, his NPD symptoms are just showing up more often due to the environment (investigations all around, critical press, etc).

You're right maybe he just doesn't hold up under pressure. I think a lot of other malignant narcissist can play it cooler. They reckon CEOs show a similar % of psycopathy to prison populations, but they just handle it better.

I don't know if you've seen the Bundy Tapes on Netflix, but I think Ted Bundy is a good example of someone who can be calm, composed, charming under most conditions but when the heat is on becomes totally unraveled.

He's been known ( from a number of sources, particulary Donny Deutsch, who moved in many of the circles Trump moved in in NYC )
to not pay his contractors just enough that if they sued, the lawsuit wouldn't justify the suit, He did that because he loved not paying people what he contractually agreed to. A number of contractors have filed for bankcruptcy, after being stiffed by Trump, specifically the guy who did a Million bucks worth of lighting on the Taj Majal, he stiffed the contractor and kept the lights.

You should watch the film "You've been Trumped", for an insight of how he dealt with the villagers of Aberdeenshire Scotland ( where he built a golf course ) of just who Trump really is. he lacks empathy, like ZERO.

Deutsch said Trump has being doing this to people for most of his business career, he's just a world class aweful person, and is probably a criminal, stiffing the gov on taxes, money laundering with russian kleptocrats, etc.

Thats an example of you trying to shoehorn Trump into a definition that fits your preconceived notions of the man.

I havent seen him exhibit envy on any level. I mean the guy does think very very highly of himself. Difficult to imagine such a person envying a person he sees an inferior.

Yes, it may be unkind of me to refer to him as a 'drunk' which implies he couldn't do much of anything and was a messy boozer, but there is ample evidence he had a drinking problem.

Dude drank all day according so some biographers. While the jury is still out in that some hold that doesn't make him an alcoholic, the pattern looks fairly clear to me: he was at least a functioning one.

Thank God trump doesn't suffer from that. On the other hand maybe a cold beer or a tipple of scotch would calm those tiny twitter thumbs once in a while.
