Devin Nunes sues Twitter for parody account pretending to be his mom and cow

Should be interesting to see if Twitter is liable. IMO, I doubt it. He didn't have to post there. He may have a point if he can prove Twitter shadow bans Republicans. I've heard the latter complaint many times by well known Republicans and conservatives.
From a Main Stream Media Source:

Devin Nunes Sues Twitter for Allowing Accounts to Insult Him - The New York Times

If those were parody accounts impersonating and mocking liberals, they would have been banned much sooner.

Did you see Joe Rogan show with Tim Pool, Jack Dorsey and Vijaya Gadde?

Don't Worry! He's a Republican. Therefore all rules are suspended, anything they've done to smear him is fair game, dismiss the suit, and charge him for even filing a suit.

As one article I read said..."Discovery should be very interesting."

Boohoo. Saying anything other than something mocking of the thin-skinned Nunes in this thread is just....

Public service announcement: If any Big Brave Ttough Rugged Individualist Self-responsibility Teh Freedomz (TM) conservatives feel threatened by a twitter joke about David Nunes, they should feel free to build themselves a twitter-free space. They can hunker down and think about all the times they called anyone else a "snowflake"...

Enough with the despicable False Martyrdom Syndrome.

Are you retarded?

I was talking about Twitter not enforcing their rules fairly.

Please try harder...

A legislator, who co-sponsored a bill against frivolous lawsuits, files a frivolous lawsuit, presenting no actual legal arguments, filed by a lawyer who was suspended twice (first one for violating securities law and "general incompetence," second for practicing law while suspended) and reprimanded for misconduct a few years later, against a parody Twitter account claiming to be a cow.

As a result, the parody Twitter account -- which no one way paying attention to -- soars in popularity and gains followers.

It's like an Onion article, but... real.

It's already freaking hilarious. It only gets better if @DevinCow actually gets more followers than Nunes.

P.S. @DevinCow is now up to 102k followers.

1. No explanation needed or requested.

2. If you need to go into that much detail to explain funny, you basically have proved it's not all that funny.

Right now, neither you, I or anyone else has a right to that information. Known only to the FBI are human sources and intercepted communications.

Four different judges, all appointed by Republican presidents, signed off on electronic surveillance of Carter Page.

And that's the end of a long process that involves multiple layers of review within the FBI and the Justice Department, current and former officials say. Anyone trying to put one over on the FISA court would be risking his or her career.

It was not improper — and perfectly normal — for the FBI to disclose information from the Steele dossier as part of the warrant application.

What's even funnier to me is when the suit was filed, Devin Nunes' Cow had something like 1,200 followers. Now the account has over 90,000 followers.

Devin Nunes’ cow (@DevinCow) | Twitter for updates. It was 60,000 when I was in the doctor's waiting room this morning.

Way to go Devin! :lamo

124,000 followers now! Including me!

Heh. Without Nunes we would not know about the faked fisa warrants, the partisan texts, the faked steele papers bought with clinton cash and so much more.

Look at them. Democrats have not been so angry with someone since republicans took away their slaves.
The most ignorant and moronic post of the day.

Some legal eagle really ought to do a Lexis/Nexis search (is that still a thing?) and see if those two words have ever appeared back to back before in any legal filing. This could be HISTORY we’re witnessing here people!!!

And yeah, Lexis/Nexis is still a thing. When I had GEICO insurance, they kept going up and up and up on my premiums, for no reason. When I tried to change to another company, I was told that there were 3 accidents listed against me at L/N. I called them and they said that GEICO had never changed the fault liability indicator, so it was showing I was at fault for all 3. I disputed it, and then went to Progressive and my insurance is half what it used to be.

Nunes must surely be aware of the discovery process and how badly this charade could bite him and Trump? But then maybe he's THAT stupid after all.

What are you babbling about? The average Trump tweet is worse. He forwards White Supremacist **** for Christ sake.

Just another case of Republicans being really good at dishing it out, but then crying to mommy when someone returns the favour. This certainly explains Trump's campaign strategy.

Nunes has an excellent case. Twitter's on CEO is on video admitting as much.

My dear sir, Nunes has no case whatsoever, which he will learn shortly. It doesn't mean a tinker's dam what the CEO "admitted", Twitter is a private service and can be as arbitrary as it likes. With regard to satire, as I have noted previously, Nunes has not a whiff of a case, as it is Black Letter Law that a) truth is a defense, and b) Satire is a complete defense. Moreover, it is a third party, not Twitter, that is posting the satire. If you would like a tutor, my fee is $350.00 an hour.

Why can't conservatives come up with their own social media? I don't get it. If liberals are so bad, quit using our social media, our medicines, our doctors, our physicians, our music (sans country), our television, our movies, and our comedy. Just make your own.

And every product of science and intellect.

Devin Nunes is king of the assholes.

And becoming the king of laughing stocks. Considering Trump currently holds the title, that is no small feat.

I know right?

The cow called him a "Treasonous Cowpoke".

OMG, I can't stop laughing at that....Do you think this will become the next "Santorum"? Nunes has guaranteed that the next time he runs for office it will be a laugh fest. :)
