Vietnam vet targeted on bus for wearing MAGA hat

nothing arrogant bout it.

it is pretty clear that we have a classic struggle between good and evil going on and as a neutral person I can tell you it is obvious that Trumpism is evil.

"as a neutral person I can tell you it is obvious that Trumpism is evil" That's your version of being neutral? :2funny:

Why is the cap "stupid"? I'm not even a Yank and I want America to be great. Iyo does that make me stupid too?

The hat is saying that America is not currently great but used to be. Which begs the questions: when was America Great and when did it stop? Was it before slaves were freed? Before women got the vote? Before the civil rights act? Before gays had the right to marry? Give me a year.

Yes we have a 1st amendment and one man expressed himself by wearing a symbol of hate and another man expressed himself by saying it was inappropriate.

Why it's on the news I have no idea.

You clods don't get to define hate and then enforce your standard on everyone else. If you don't like MAGA hats, look the other way.

Back when 1 man working could buy a house for a whole family?

Back when we werent obsessed with being a debt nation?

Back when school grades meant something besides 10,000$ guaranteed funding for every failed student enrolled?

Back when prisons werent being filled up just for the sake of filling as many cells as possible for nonviolent crimes?

It could mean LOTS OF THINGS besides the hateful things in your mind.

I object boycotts based on their stupidity, not that it isn't free speech.

You folks think free speech should come with concequences. There are no words to explain the stupidity of that idea.

There are no words to explain the stupidity of the idea that I'm not allowed to criticize your speech.

My employees have a first amendment right to march at a nazi rally.
And I have a right to ****can them for endangering my profit margin.

If these are things you want to address, uhh, why would you vote Republican?

You are an ingrate. Expressing gratitude and appreciation to others is the surest way to personal happiness. Your lack of gratitude paints you as a very unhappy person, probably divorced.

Do you believe this guy?

Do you hate his Maga hat or think he is antiquated? Or perhaps something else?

It seems like it happened the way he said it. I don't hate his MAGA hat, he's free to wear it. People run their mouths all the time, and so long as it remains there then there isn't much to be done about it. The problem becomes when it's more than just a gaggle of idiots yelling at each other, but turns to physical violence. In this case it didn't, which is good. It certainly hasn't gone that way in the past.

People are free to where MAGA hats and support Trump, no matter how ridiculously stupid that is. Others are free to disagree and even jaw back and forth pointlessly. The free expression of political thought and ideal must be maintained. Physical assault against those freely exercising their rights, however, needs to be dealt with swiftly and harshly.

In this case, it's a lot of nothing. Just dip****s yelling at each other. But there are plenty of other cases we've seen where it has crossed the line. The dude is right, it's likely to get worse. We do seem to be tracking on even greater hyperpartisan division and stupidity.

Well according to the guy the man who left the bus was muttering about violence 3rd handendly so thats when he stepped up and said "Bring it bub" after the guy started muttering about violence.

I can imagine that he probably said something like "Mannnnn, I cant wait till these Trump supporters start gettin' smacked" and thats when the veteran stood up.

But I guess well never know until we see the police report and hear witness testimony.

No problem: America was great in 1944. That was the year when I stood at end of a street in Salisbury with other children for hours at a time watching an endless convoy - it went on for three days and nights - of US troops going from their camps on Salisbury Plain towards the English South coast. They knew their destination and so did we: France. In the way of convoys it started and stopped so sometimes we had time to talk. Though I don't suppose I had much to say beyond a heartfelt 'Good Luck'.

(These days it is sometimes assumed that D-Day came as a surprise to the English public. Not so, except we did not know exactly where the landings would be made. All across Southern England the move of enormous numbers of British, American and Canadian troops, artillery and armour towards the Channel ports was witnessed by millions).

It's attitudes like yours that require people like that man to take a defensive stance.

Get over your hatred. Your life will be more enjoyable.

The only hate I see............is his every post.

You can't fix stupid.

I do not understand how anyone who believes in America could say that the phrase "Make America Great Again" is hate speech. Now if you hate America I can see where you could come off as saying it is hate speech because it speaks to something you do not believe in, but we do have freedom of speech laws that help make America the great country it is, even defends your right to not believe in making America great.

I continue to wonder exactly when America was great and when it stopped being great. Y’all keep saying it but it seems no one knows or is willing to provide dates. That being the case how is it that you are able to determine which Americans hate America and which Americans are displeased?

Are people who liked America when it was great now the people who hate America because it isn’t great?

Who decided America wasn’t great? When did they decide?

How did they know?

Why must we all agree with that person?

This country is so deeply divided now that I would think you have to question your sanity for wearing a hat with Trump or Clinton on it. I know, I know you got that freedom of speech but lets be real here.

Same thing with political bumper stickers on your vehicle. Good chance you are going to get keyed in that parking lot.

I see it - the MAGA cap - as expressing a desire for the USA to be great. As it happen I share that desire but even if I did not I would not be so intolerant of any opinions that do no fully coincide with my own.

So "my agenda is in full view". What do you suppose my "agenda" to be?

Your 'question' is reminiscent of one asked by Jew haters. "If Jews are not bad people why did the Germans kill so many"? It's always a cheap trick to twist the blame onto the victim of an attack.

YOU may wear the cap to express a desire for the USA to be great but that is not what others see when you wear that cap. Cognitively you know this. So if you still wear it you are intentionally antagonizing those that are the victims of Trumps hate campaign.

BTW, I thought it was very cool how you worded this. "desire for the USA to be great" Trump has been insulting me daily for 3 years telling me te country was no longer great.

You I like. You have the right attitude even if you have the wrong hat, lol.

that said,

enough with the Jews in every damned thread. This has nothing o do with jews.

peace

Why do you think 1 of the agitators ran off the bus as soon as the bus stopped once he heard police were being called? And the other one apologized before the police got there? Do you think this is relevant at all?

How is it relevant? If the man was not physically threatened or assaulted, I see no problem.

I can think of many scenarios as to what may have happened. You just want to claim something with no knowledge.

"as a neutral person I can tell you it is obvious that Trumpism is evil" That's your version of being neutral? :2funny:

This is pretty obvious stuff. Everyone on the left, center and reasoned know this to be true.

Only SOME trumpets dispute it and we all know why.

Even those that dispute it know inside that it is true.

I'll do the same thing I do that I have done when I have seen a confederate flag.

He's an idiot and if he wasn't shot then the attack on him doesn't in any way compare to the many murders committed by MAGA people or MAGA-inspired people. Go cry me a river.

You are confused or more likely avoiding what I was commenting on... YOU ... claiming to be neutral and immediately posting your bias with your "totally neutral statement"[sarcasm]

I also resent your broad brush paint of "Trumpism is evil" slurring the President and everyone who supports him by extension. Being neutral means not taking the side of either parties in a dispute etc., which you clearly have and clearly are anything but neutral.

Not joining a tribe does not prohibit object thought and expression of that contemplation.

Trumpism is evil in the the great battle the country is enduring. You would be hard pressed to find any honest person to disagree.

Don't know what tribe your keep referring to, are you native American or the like? I am just an American citizen, no known tribe association in my family history that I know of.

So, by your writing you believe that anyone who would disagree with your statements is not an honest person? Seem to be pretty full of yourself, there are a great many who disagree with your statements and I certainly would not be "hard pressed to find them", see them every day and they are honest people.

Notice you avoided your neutral status claim.

I do not wear a MAGA cap. One reason is that they are not on sale in Sweden where I live.

I am sorry my words are too sophisticated for you.

You wish you had that sophistication, clearly you are so full of yourself you are beyond self recognition. I have no more time or the patience to waste on such folly, carry on amusing and deluging yourself.
